Hakone Hotels with Swimming Pools

We were greeted by hotel staff upon arrival. We were not given the option to select dinner time, which was set at 8pm which was late when compared with counterparts. We were only given the option to change to 5pm on the subsequent night, which was not convenient for us. The arrangement for who gets to be seated with the forest view or not is unknown and strange. On the first night we were seated at a room without a view, which was stuffy and adjacent tables full of uncleared dishes which give rise to an unpleasant odour. The other customers sitting in the room was served food all at once encompassing shabu shabu, while sashimi bowl was offered as a buffet. We were offered a forest view on the second night. Food was served according to courses, which was average and sashimi offered was similar to what was offered in the buffet though in large pieces. Breakfast was better with Japanese and western foods available. Rooms and onsens were nice. Recommend only choose the room only option as food was really not up to standard when compared to other Japanese counterparts.

This hotel is a historic property set in an iconic setting. We stayed in the Forest Section which features large, comfortable rooms that were a little dark, the bathroom lighting could be improved. Here is my issue. We arrived around 1:15 and we’re told that we could check in at 3:00. We had lunch in their cafe ( 50$) and asked again about an hour later if we could have early access. The very polite desk clerk replied “ Yes, for $70 dollars “. Astounded , I countered that we were departing early 2 days later, and he reduced the amount to $35. Now here is where communication becomes an issue: I continued the “are you kidding me?” and he kept bowing. I thought the issue was settled. That night and the next we ate at their lovely restaurants, French and the Cascade. Food and service was superb. With wine we spent about $900. Check out was early, and my husband didn’t really examine the bill. When we were back in our free early access room in Tokyo I noticed the $35 charge. I contacted the hotel’s customer service and they confirmed the charge. So, what about customer hospitality? I have NEVER been charged an early access fee for an hour. They have been times when we patiently waited for a room to be readied, and never demanded a rebate. It is all part of the guest/host agreement, I think this is probably a corporate decision by the Fujiya Group. Rethink your mission, guys, make guests feel wanted!

On Friday, I had a break, so I hurriedly booked a plan for staying without meals. It is a mountain room in the pond building, within １ Person １ 10,000 yen. In the evening １７ I arrived at half past half, but the shops near Hakone Yumoto Station were almost closed. The correct answer was that I was procuring side dishes in the basement of the department store in Shinjuku. The convenience store was open. There are liquor stores and Lawson near the inn. The garden was an invisible room, but it was wide 々 and the scenery was good and I could see the mountains. The cleaning was well done. The futon is a style that you lay yourself, but I was grateful that you were prepared for a split, plate, and glass, probably because of the consideration for guests staying without meals. Coffee and tea were also set. It was good that the large communal bath and the bath in the room were both hot springs. The room was a unit bath, but I didn't really care. The next morning I took a walk in the large garden. I was able to relax. Hakone Yumoto is close to ８０ minutes from Shinjuku, and I think it is an affordable plan for train fares and accommodation plans for inns of this class. I want to go to stay again when I have time.

This hotel is a bit hard to reach by public transport. There is a bus that stops closeby, but there is also a train, however, after that you have to walk for 20 minutes and the road can be quite steep in some parts. In the vicinity, there are some convenience stores and restaurants. The town of Hakone is beautiful and located close to mount Fuji. We had a lovely ryokan-style suite with twin beds. Everything was very clean and comfortable, including the pillows. Breakfast is buffet-style and offers both European and Asian food. There are both a public onsen and a private one. Staff is very friendly and speaks English very well.

A special thank you for this Hotel. We originally booked two nights accommodations from September 1 to 3, and later we did booking another extra day for 31 of August. Because of the Typhoon We have to request cancellation for August if 31 first on 30th August, Hotel accepted our request, and than we still can't make it happen for the First of September due to the same reason and issue another requ youest of cancellation or modification through our travel agent, Nicely this hotel accepted our request again, as a result of agreed by hotel We checked in on September 2

During the epidemic, I missed the beautiful scenery and blue sky of Hakone so much. I had been thinking about the hotel for three years, and finally booked a room three months in advance before the National Day trip. The hotel is rated 5 points because there is no 10-point option. The hotel environment and services completely exceeded expectations, and it was worth the price. I experienced the thoughtfulness and perfection of Japanese service. There are mostly European and American guests in the hotel, and there is no barrier to English communication with the staff. It is a 3-minute walk from Gora Station, and within a 5-minute walk from the hotel, you can reach Gora Park and the Sculpture No Mori Museum of Art. But contact the hotel in advance, and the hotel will thoughtfully arrange a pick-up and drop-off. The hotel environment is impeccable and the design is full of design. It is worthy of being the work of a master, and it looks great every time you take a photo. The kaiseki dinner was just average, not particularly amazing. The only drawback is that the room we stayed in was on the first floor and there was a bit of an unpleasant smell from the shower drain at night.

I am a Japanese. I really enjoyed the stay. I like non-expensive Onsen so We stayed at Annex room. No private onsen in the room but large enough and clean(a bit old but well remodelled). If you pay more you can stay in a Private Onsen room but it costs more of course. DInner is Japanese style with good volume and taste. really good Shabushabu we had. It may be tough for people who cannot eat true Japanese food. There are options without dinner but I am not sure there are restaurants available near by. Breakfast is buffet. Mostly Japanese but bread, eggs and some western stuff available. Tamagoyaki(Japanese style baked egg) is really great. Fruits and Japanese sweet are also awesome. Onsen water quality is not great(no Onsen/sulfur smell). But rooms are clean and large. Clean cloth box with a key. Outside Onsen is available. Good shower hot water volume. Shiseido face lotion is also avaiable which is amazing. 3PM check in and 11 AM check out is great. Location is between Hakone-Yumoto and Lake-Ashi. not a city center. we went with a car but there is a 100 JPY bus service from Hakone-Yumoto. Or 1000JPY taxi. Great hospitality and service. I am not sure they can speak English but at least they will try I am sure.

We used it at the end of the summer of 2019. I wanted to stay in the room of Sukumo Tei and chose it. It is a very nice room with a bath in the room. It is 53000 yen for two adults and 3 years old children. For us, it is expensive. The hot spring was good and the meal was good. Because it was in the morning and there was no time, I used the bath in the room with my child and two people. I didn't notice the day before, but there was no shower head, and the hot water was drained. It's hard to use. Because it's naked, I consulted my husband, but it's not a directing? It's impossible to say that there is no shower head, and I'm patient... When I enter the bathtub, a large amount of hair is floating 〜 more ... I'm not cleaning ... Absolutely ... I talk at the front desk on my way back, Explain that it was stolen by the customer the day before. No, I'm not cleaning it, I'm saying. Usually, you don't clean it while you're in the shower? ? You notice? I thought, but I don't want to ruin my fun trip, so I endure it... I want to refund the difference between the room and the room on the phone later. I can't return 1 yen. If you stay at the hotel and endure nothing even if you have such a sight, I will point out. However, I don't ask for a refund. Because if you do it, you will be threatened. It was said. The shower head was also stolen and insufficient room. When you store hot water, a large amount of hair. I couldn't see hair until I entered hot water in a fashionable bath 〜. I didn't go in if I saw it. I went to an unsanitary bath for 53000 yen per night. I didn't tell the staff, but the garbage was falling near the garbage bin, and it was empty, whether it was in the service or fabric or resesh... Please guide the cleaning staff. I pay the staff who did not clean at all, so I think I should refund a little for the guests who couldn't have the minimum service... It was good except for the bath in the room and the subsequent response Very sorry. I was thinking of coming again until the bath incident occurred. I will not stay again. I don't want you to think like this. I decided to see only good word of mouth before going. You should read bad word of mouth. Everyone wrote that it was not cleaned.

The hotel was excellent, service was great and check in was easy. The food in the hotel was delicious for both breakfast and dinner. The room was clean and spacious, easy to travel around as the bus stop was just outside the hotel. Nice garden for us to stroll and was fortunate to see fireflies too. Free tickets to Yunessun was a bonus.
