The attention detail was wonderful. They took great care of us. Drove us to and from skiing and other locations. Wonderful staff. Gorgeous room and main building.

The staff are the best. Thank you for taking care of us. This is a place I will definitely want to come back to. The food is so tasty as well. Room is near and the shower is hot!

Excellent service and location. Special thank you for Mickey and all the staff for all their help. Restaurant recommendations were perfect, car service to and from slopes quick and efficient. Would come back and stay with pleasure

Staying in this hotel made me feel the warmth of home, with comfortable beds, thoughtful supplies, and meticulous service. It is an ideal place to stay for business trips and travel.

The only five in the area Transfer to three ski lifts, as well as to railway and bus stations Call a taxi Equipment is stored and brought The rooms are large, if you don't take the cheapest one Jacuzzi bath and shower Separate bathroom amenities that are changed every day Tea and treats in the Hall with a fireplace Several cafes nearby Of the minuses Not tasty food in local restaurants and overpriced It’s cool in the Hall with a fireplace because the entrance doors are often opened and the fire is weak or absent There is a bit of staff shortage - if the fireplace was burning strong and constantly it would be ideal

The hotel was built in an older era, so the facilities are not comparable to those of newer hotels. However, the sanitation condition is okay, the service is full marks, and the overall stay experience is still very good.

The room looks more stylish, but the bathroom is small and smelly... The design of the suite is also strange. You don't need to take off your shoes in the bedroom, but you have to take them off in the living room... The service is really good, and you can pick up and drop off the ski resort at any time! The restaurant is French, you can eat light meals, and the food is pretty good!

We loved this hotel. The staff are awesome - picked us up/dropped us off at the Station, took us to two mountain lifts. Even helped us find a chemist as my husband was unwell on the train from Tokyo. A shout out to the new Vietnamese lady on Reception for her amazing patience and endless help. We only stayed for one night but I wished it was longer. The hotel is snug in a forest of pine trees, with fresh mountain air, the tinkle of birds and insects constant. There are pots of flowers everywhere and charming spots to sit and admire the beauty of nature. Inside, the hotel is a throw back to the days of piano, silver service and large sofas. The rooms, though, in contrast are slightly more modern and individually different. Beds divine, toilets snazzy as per all of Japan, and balcony views of the forest beautiful. Complimented by the super helpful staff... we hope to return in different seasons.

We stayed at this hotel in early March for 5 nights and I have to say it was of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived we were treated very well by staff that actually seem to enjoy helping guests. Nothing was too hard for them to help you with. Transport was available to the nearby snowfields or restaurants at any time requested which was a great convenience as it was sometimes hard to walk in the slippery snow. The room was clean and well appointed. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who wants great customer service and a very welcoming place to stay.

This was a lovely traditional hotel, well located for skiing. We were transferred and collected to the slopes every day which were only about 10 mins away. The staff were exceptional and couldn't do enough for us. They would have our ski boots ready for us when we left the hotel and would book our taxis and recommend restaurants for the evening meals. The room was spacious with a living room as well as a bedroom. We had a nice view of snowy trees.

This is my 6th time using it, after 3 years. This time, I was able to upgrade to the Junior Suite A type. There are many types of rooms, so it's always new every time I stay. I chose the special dinner dish. The Ishinagi (white fish) with a mysterious texture and the deer meat were very delicious. The next day, it was raining lightly, but I went to Tsugaike Nature Park to see the skunk cabbage that was dying out.

I had always taken a day trip to Nagano, but this time I received a complimentary ticket and decided to stay there. I was worried about how my husband, who loves Japanese food, would react, but the breakfast, dinner, and wine were delicious, and the whole family was very satisfied. The room we received with the complimentary ticket felt a little small for a family of three, but we were upgraded to a larger room and were able to spend a comfortable time. Room service was also courteous. Although the weather was unstable and a typhoon was approaching, it was a great memory.

I was worried about the Wi-Fi speed in the room because I was working remotely, but there was no problem at all. The guests were mostly older and calm. The room I stayed in had a large desk in addition to the dresser, which was helpful. As other people have written, the hospitality was excellent and they were very considerate. They provide transportation to all the slopes of Happo-one, but Sakka slope is within walking distance.
