We have returned here after a 4 year break, and we are a bit disappointed. We understand that Covid and after that the war has torn hosptiality services apart quite a bit, but this hotel deserves better. Four years ago this was an oasis in the middle of an albeit developing, but still not very attractive little lakeside wine-themed resort. This place used to be a shining beacon of affordable but outstanding hospitality. The surroundings have still had the aura of the past about them, but this hotel stood out as a great example. Now it is a mere shadow of its past self. Time has passed, the surroundings have developed with a rocketlike speed, but this hotel has not seen even a paintbrush to preserve its quality. In our previous visit in 2018 the service and the kitchen were extraordinary, now they were only mediocre at best. The room was the same, but the beds have become worn, the tapestry ragged, the spacing among the tiles in the flooring of the bathroom were dirty, even moldy at some places. The paint on the wall has seen better days. The aircon works either too loud and warm, or silent and cold. The windows let in a lot of cold air. The sound of the garage door, two floors below our room was very loud, and every morning some other aircon or whatever HVAC unit started working with a gentle, waking hum around 6:30. Probably the fact, that after today, the hotel closes for about two months, didn't help the mood of the staff, but this morning at breakfast they were already halfway out of the place. with the kitchen door ajar, you could hear every word, and it was not very pleasant. So yeah, there are already much-much better places around than this little hotel. It is a pity, seeing such a great value gone to ruin. We will not be returning, spending just a bit more will give you a far better value in the vicinity.
