Avery welcoming and well located place to stay. Our room was impressively spacious with a balcony overlooking the ocean, so to wake up with that view and listen to the waves was something special. The manager was really helpful and nothing was too much effort for her. The breakfast was delicious and of good quality. It was good to be able to walk to the town and enjoy our evening meal and there being no problem in walking back without any concern for safely. A lovely place to stay.

The room was spacious, comfortable and the bed was enormous! The spectacular view of the crashing waves of the Hermanus coast at breakfast was superb and the sight of whales and dolphins in swimming by as we ate made the delicious breakfast even better. Devon, our host, was warm, kind and welcoming as have been all the people we have met in South Africa. Thank you for a great stay. The only minor downside was the building work next door but work only commenced at 8am the impact was minimal.

Not really sure where to start. The reception on arrival was so welcoming and warm. The room was spacious, clean and contained everything we needed. And the breakfasts - amazing! What a stylish, cosy place this is. And the “honesty bar” system is so refreshing. But the vibe created by Natasha and her team is what will stand out for me. Service simply doesn’t get better than this. Me leaving a couple of pairs of shoes did’t faze them - they found me at my next stop in Cape Town You’ve got to try this place.

Ideally located. The welcome is very warm. We were given all the information we needed (things to do, restaurant reservations, etc). The room was superb and huge, with every possible comfort. If we ever go back to Hermanus, we'll definitely choose this guest house.

Das Guesthouse befindet sich direkt am Wasser und man erreicht das Stadtzentrum innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Sowohl die Zimmer und die öffentlichen Bereiche sind mit Lieben zum Detail eingerichtet. Von der Terasse aus kann man mit etwas Glück während des Frühstücks Wale in weiter Entfernung sehen. Es war alles sehr persönlich und herzlich. Eine tolle Adresse in Hermanus.

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in het Guest house. Wat een prachtige ligging met uitzicht op de baai. Bij een beetje geluk wordt je tijdens het ontbijt ook nog begroet door een walvis. Erg vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. Echt een aanrader.

My husband and I were so lucky to be able to stay 2 nights at La Fontaine Guest House. We had a sea facing room and everything you could possibly need was provided. Natasha was a wonderful host and provided a sumptuous breakfast which we were able to enjoy looking out to sea watching the whales swim by.

A true home from home. Natasha and Devon are wonderful, friendly, helpful hosts and they have made this a beautiful place to stay. We had whales breaching in front of us within minutes of our arrival, just amazing! The rooms are spotless, so comfortable and well thought out with lots of amenities. There is a well stocked honesty mini bar in each room. We had a stunning sea view from our balcony. It is an easy 5 minute walk to many lovely restaurants and is right on the fabulous cliff path which we walked each morning. Hermanus is such a brilliant town and we wished we were staying longer. Very sad to leave, thank you!
