Stella Palace Aqua Park Resort

Our experience of staying here over May half term in a family suite with direct access to sharing pool was excellent overall and we had a memorable stay. We were initially in the 900 bar rooms, which was a lovely room and the bar was great, with friendly staff. However some of the rooms have a lot of sunbeds outside and don't feel like 'direct access'. We had some large, noisier groups around us for the first few days so asked to move to the rooms behind the Mexican, which were much quieter and perfect for us. We loved the A La Carte options and enjoyed all of the restaurants, with the stand outs being the beachfront Mediterranean and the Asian. The food was great quality, excellent service and we felt very spoiled. We actually thought the buffet food was great too, especially the salads, tastier than other family AI's we have stayed in. Breakfast in the Veranda was also a highlight as it was much quieter and relaxing. The French toast was amazing! Drinks were fine, I wasn't a fan of the pre mixed cocktails, but the fresh ones were good. The waterpark was amazing and we went every day. We swam in the sea more and children enjoyed the sandy beach. even if it isn't the prettiest. The whole resort is beautifully designed and we loved the aesthetic, the planting is just gorgeous and very well looked after. Staff work really hard and were outstanding. We would definitely return in a sharing pool room again.

The Hotel was the best. We were treated very well by all the staff and management. We were treated like royalty, we will definitely go back again Many thanks to Dr Zulu with the entertainment especially the darts The bar, restaurant guest relations and everyone that helped the holiday to be a special time.

Call on holiday here now This is the second time we have been here, we came two years ago. I have to say it’s been an even better experience then last time,the standard have far high. Lots to do for family, with the water park and slides. Lots of different restaurants to choose from. Brilliant experience will definitely come again.

Came as 2 familys of 3 in the standard pool view rooms. On arrival we were disappointed with thr room its extremely basic and not what we are used to at 5 star however we are only sleeping so can deal with that. Most disappointed with the food the main poiseden buffet is genuinely the worst i have ever been too. Been eatung cheese and biscuits at evening meal as there is nothing else. Cheap cuts of meat and hardly any selection. Salads are nice and presented well. Drink selection ok but notjing branded but the fizzy pop is awful thr kids dont even like it! Overall whilst the grounds and pools are lovely and the waterpark is fab everything else is disappointing. We went ti Turkey last month at half term for a fraction of the price and it exceeds this hotel in every way

I've just stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. While I had an amazing time, there are some things that don't quite make this a 5 star for me. Pros: The sandy beach is literally on the doorstep of the hotel. It's beautiful and the great thing is the sea is safe, no matter the weather, as they have a protected part which means no waves come crashing in. The kids pools and water slides are amazing. So many different parts of the hotel you can go to for slides, you'll never get bored and suitable for various ages! The Almyra (Mediterranean) a la carte restaurant was amazing. Great views and fantastic food. The hotel app is great. Used it a lot to find out what was going on at the hotel each day. The evening entertainment is excellent, with things like a circus, magic show, acrobatics. There's a mini disco for the kids at 8.30 but its all just far too late for my little ones and we had to leave early most nights. Cons: For the kids club activities, you have to drop your kids off there and an adult can't accompany their child. For me, this was no good and we therefore didn't do the kids club activities. Half the fun is watching your child get involved in the activity and I wouldn't be able to relax having left my child somewhere without me. The Greek a la carte restaurant - I wouldn't bother booking this one. The food was not good at all. Very dry and no flavour. The buffet restaurant - I've got mixed views on this. Each night is themed (Asian, Italian, etc). Some night were really bad and the choice was not good. Other nights it was just OK. Pizza is a daily option if all else fails. More selection is needed in the kids section of the buffet. It was literally chicken nuggets EVERY day. I wasn't really a fan of the layout of the hotel room. The bathroom was part of the main room, not sectioned off, and not much wardrobe space to unpack your things. If you want a good spot for a sunbed, make sure you grab one at about 7am. Despite the signs that say 'don't reserve sunbeds' everyone does it and you will be left with little choice if you wait. Overall I would say the pool and water slides at this hotel are amazing and what made this holiday for us. The food was disappointing and lets itself down.

We visited over the half term holiday as a family of 4. Our boys are 9 and 11 and this was their favourite holiday so far. I've given it 5/5 as it was closer to a 5 than a 4. Almost perfect but a little room for improvement. Check in was quick and straightforward. Staff were really lovely and welcoming. We arrived late and food had been left out for us in the room. The hotel was beautiful and immaculate. We had a family suite with shared pool which was perfect - modern, roomy and cleaned every day. Proper beds for the children rather than sofa beds and 2 bathrooms. The shared pool was a highlight and we spent a lot of time here. The 900 bar was a bonus. No queues and lovely staff. We didn't spend much time at the main pools. These were lovely too but few free beds when we visited. The bars were good and no massive queues. Our youngest son loved the snack bar with the crepes. The beach area looked nice but we didn't go there very much. The waterpark was fantastic. Loads of slides for a variety of ages. My eldest made the most of the slides and my younger boy enjoyed the pool there too. The drinks, food and ice creams were great. Both myself and eldest son are vegan. It was a real treat to be able to choose from a range of food here. The burgers, salad and vegan meatballs were good. My son was able to have sorbet too. We mainly ate at the main buffet. It seemed smaller than other ai buffets we have used before but the food was good. Breakfast was good but not a massive choice for vegans. Some veggie sausages or other alternatives would improve it for us. In the evening, we would speak with the chef and he happily showed us what vegan food was available. This was a must because unfortunately the labelling of food was not great. Some dishes had no label and some did not seem to be correctly labelled. If you have any dietary requirements, I would make sure you speak to the chef. There was plenty we could eat and it was very tasty. We had wonderful vegan desserts and on the odd day my son didn't fancy the food on offer, they were happy to make him a vegan pizza. My husband and other son really enjoyed their food, which was great quality too. The buffet staff were great. Shout out to Aida who was especially lovely. The a la carte restaurants looked amazing. The menus sounded great and very vegan friendly. Unfortunately, we were unable to go to these as they were fully booked or only had limited late slots. I checked these as soon as we arrived so his was a real disappointment. The entertainment was fairly typical of what we have experienced elsewhere. Mini disco for the little ones followed by various acts. There was also live music by the pool. Our kids enjoyed it some nights but other times preferred to go and hang out back at our room. On the evening we were leaving, our youngest was a bit upset he hadn't been able to ride the golf buggy again. Manos kindly took him on a buggy for a personal tour of the hotel grounds. absolutely disgusting service Just checked in with my family and was probably the worst check in experience I've ever had so I paid in full in March for the hotel using my debt card that has since expired and the bank sent me a new one and told me to dispose the old card the hotel was paid for at the time of booking so when I have come to check in was told I needed to bring the card that I paid with which is obviously cut up and in the bin had to see the manager and was no use they have told me they have refunded to my account and money should go in today so I can pay again later but in UK usually takes at least 24 hours for a refund to hit your account so looks like I will be having to pay for my stay again I showed them my online banking statement to show the money had been taken out in March same account number and sort code but just a different card now come back to check in being spoke to like krap saying I have to pay again ! and the refund will not go in until 10 days time after being told by the first member of staff would go in within a hour which I knew was not going to happen ! This has been the most terrible experience so far.
