Where do I start? Oh, yes, lipstick on bovines. These old buildings have had a cheap remodel with the cheapest of materials. The bathrooms/showers are suffocatingly small with poor ventilation. The hotel is so concerned about the thin walls they supply ear plugs and a sound machine in each room. You just can't make this stuff up! Lighting is dim and there is very little privacy. For example, the room curtain covering the outer walkway window does not close sufficiently. It is so bad that if you are standing by the sink or coming out of the shower at the moment someone walks by, well... they will see you in all of your glory! Outside stairs are not to code and the rise on the steps varies from 3 inches to 9. Be careful! If you want views, be prepared to search for a vantage point. We paid extra for a Ridgetop room and the heavy powerlines were just gorgeous! The buildings just beyond the hotel are creepy and they are using a tennis court for employee parking. I will end on a positive: the bed was very comfortable, the towels were soft, and the bathroom floors are heated. Don't be fooled; that does not make up for the outrageous cost and lack of privacy.

The best part is that the Oak Steakhouse is on property, and the Oak Steakhouse is outstanding. Our room was a good size and the balcony allowed us to feel like we were camping in the trees, but in a luxury accommodation. I do feel that it is unfortunate that the Oak Steakhouse does not open for breakfast for the Skyline Lodge guests.

I was incredibly disappointed with my stay at Skyline. This hotel is marketed as a four star hotel with prices to match. However, nothing about my experience was four stars. When I first entered the room, there were bugs crawling on the ceiling and wall and also smushed on the ceiling where previous occupants had killed them. There were also bugs consistently in the toilet and in the sink. I raised this issue with the front desk twice, but I was told that there was nothing they could do, except potentially set out some traps. And, when I was sitting on the patio at night, I saw a mouse run across the deck two feet away from me. In addition, the shower door was missing, so water went everywhere when someone took a shower. The only redeeming quality about this hotel is the restaurant attached - all of my meals at Oak Steakhouse were delicious. Skip the stay but definitely visit the restaurant.

During my recent stay at The Skyline Lodge, I was very impressed by the exceptional service and comfortable accommodations. The staff was welcoming and attentive and went out of their way to ensure all my needs were met. Thanks to their friendliness and kindness I will be returning back next time I'm in town.

The lodge was not worth the money they charge. Don’t trust their website. When I asked to move or leave, because there was no weather stripping on the door and could hear everything from staff to cars etc., the manager met me with a horrible attitude and said I should just leave, that no matter where I go on the property it would be noisy. I asked to leave with a refund , which was granted, but He would not provide me with proof of this refund until I exited the room. You know there’s an issue with the rooms when you ask about getting a better room that might be quieter but you’re told you don’t want that room, all the rooms on that row have moisture issues. The parking lot was empty for a reason.

Beautiful Views from The Restaurant. Meal was good. Room was adequate, cool older construction, upgraded recently so we were comfortable. No coffee maker in the room. Standing around in the lobby on weekday mornings with an empty coffee maker and no restaurant service. Dinner only I guess. We drove downtown to Highlands and found restaurants and an adorable town. We will stay elsewhere if we go back.

The pillows were terrible... huge... they did bring us a thinner one when we requested..There was a septic smell outside our porch! The room was small, carpet dirty. Bathroom small. Room was poorly lit and had to search for a place to put on makeup. No pool and air-conditioner hard to use. Even staff said we would have to wait until maintenance arrived to change temperature as they couldn't figure it out. We couldn't believe two nights were almost $800.00... We were expecting something special and it was not at all.

Went to a wedding ceremony and stayed at Skyline. Rooms were comfortable and staff very nice. Onsite parking was a plus. They do not serve breakfast but have some pastries for sale at the check in area which is very good. Had a few cocktails at the bar and the bartender was great.

Had an amazing anniversary weekday getaways room was very clean and comfortable. The views were amazing. There is no elevator so steps are a must. Becomes a little challenging with luggage but the staff was always willing to help us. Staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make our anniversary extra special. Highly recommend and we will try to be back later this year
