Oriental Hotel Hiroshima

Overall it was good. It was clean and the location was good. I was looking for a hotel close to the bus parking lot and the price was good.

The fire alarm rang loudly at dawn. There was no announcement in the building, and I think many guests, including myself, were wondering what to do, but since it was impossible to tell if it was a false alarm or a real fire, the only thing we could do was to evacuate. It was difficult to make the right decision because we were half asleep. I evacuated without my cell phone or wallet. We went down to the lobby on the first floor, but there were probably only two staff members who could help us at that time, and one of them was a foreigner. For a while, there was no guidance to evacuate outside, and everyone just stood there in the lobby. There was no sign of fire anywhere, and we couldn't go back to our rooms. There were many foreign guests, but they didn't panic and everyone just waited quietly to see what would happen. It seems that some people had come down from the upper floors using the emergency stairs, but the elevators had not been stopped, so many people took the elevators. This is probably not the correct way to evacuate, but it would be difficult to go up the stairs from the 20th floor. It was raining heavily outside, but many people had hurriedly come down without umbrellas, and no one seemed to have escaped outside. If there really was a fire, this could have been a factor in increasing the casualties. Firefighters arrived and checked the scene, but found nothing unusual, so it seemed to be a false alarm. I then returned to my room, but the alarm continued to ring intermittently, so I couldn't get back to sleep and decided to check out early. I had stayed here after drinking in Nagarekawa Town, so I wanted to sleep as long as possible to recover my strength, but I was still sleepy. This isn't just a problem with this hotel, but probably the same for all business hotels, but it was a valuable experience that made me realize that in an emergency at night, even evacuation guidance is not carried out properly. By the way, it doesn't seem like there will be any refunds for the room or inconvenience fees...

호텔도 깨끗하고 별도에 추가침대설치해주셔서 재미있게 놀다왔습니다. 번화가에서 가까워 이동도 편하네요. 1층 음료는 더운데 신의한수내요
