The Cottage Hotel

Charming hotel, stunning setting with absolutely fantastic customer service. Room was warm and spacious with a great view. Breakfast was fresh and very well presented. Lots of history and a real local family feel. A proper hotel as it should be.

As locals we have enjoyed many meals over the years at The Cottage, whether celebration dinners, cream teas or bar snacks and the food is always delicious, plentiful and beautifully served. For my husband's recent birthday I decided to treat us to an overnight stay so that we could wake up to that stunning view. Wow! Staying is a whole new experience. Some may say The Cottage is a tad old fashioned. Quirky it may be but for us it mirrors the timeless ethos of Hope Cove itself, harking back to a gentler, slower, less stressful pace of life. The bedrooms are bright and comfortable with that incredible view. But it is the warm, calm, welcoming atmosphere of The Cottage which is simply unique. The staff are friendly and helpful in that delightfully old fashioned way and nothing is too much trouble. Neil, the new manager is a brilliant addition to the team and perfectly complements William and Sarah. He is a consummate professional yet he treats you as if he knows you, warm, attentive and missing nothing. Altho only there for a short while the slower pace of life soon relaxed and refreshed us. We had been cosseted in the nicest possible way. Keep doing what you're doing! It works!

We love this hotel and keep returning, which says it all really! Friendly service and fantastic food served in a restaurant with wonderful sea and sunset views. A pre-dinner drink on the terrace is a wonderful way to relax. The new manager is a great addition to the team.

Spent 3nights here in September with 3 family members. Another superb stay in this most welcoming of hotels. We relaxed in the lovely communal rooms and had a great room with fantastic views over the sea. The food was great especially the breakfasts so all in all a fantastic break, thank you to all the very accommodating staff.

This wonderful hotel deserves 5 stars in our opinion! The service food location and our room the best we have stayed at. From management to cleaners there is nothing that compares. Beautiful sea views. Upgrade to premier so worth the extra.

This hotel deserves 5 stars. The customer service, location, food is second to none. The views simply stunning. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of the team. So relaxing. Our room was premier room and well worth the extra. Other rooms classic but with same stunning sea views. The character and history of this beautiful place shines out inside. The food just wonderful!

Helen and I have just finished a lovely four day break at Cottage Hotel .Once again, Sarah and William together with their staff have given us a wonderful stay. The accommodation and food have been excellent, and we are looking forward in the near future to coming down for another break . We would recommend this hotel to anyone as we are sure that they enjoyed it as much as we have .

We had an excellent long weekend in this great hotel - maybe a bit old fashioned but in a lovely way. We were in one of the smaller rooms but still very comfortable and a gorgeous view out to sea. Can't speak highly enough of the staff who were extremely helpful, professional and friendly. Food was good and nice to have real ale in the bar. We will definitely be back.

Only went for a light lunch - first visit. Sat on their veranda with fantastic views over the sea. Staff were efficient and very friendly. The food was amazing. Lots to choose on the menu. Hotel inside looks a bit dated but interesting and I imagine you would be very comfortable staying.
