It’s a great hotel for a staycation with kids. The (indoor/outdoor) pool is fun and the theme park is a good way to entertain them for a few hours. The rooms are lovely and my kids think the TVs in the bathtub are amazing. The restaurant selection isn’t huge but is adequate and fairly diverse. The few things I would say: 1) the pool is free to guests, but you have to book it and can only go once a day. You can’t eat inside the pool area and if your kids need a snack - tough luck. You can’t return. Bit chintzy. 2) the surface of the shallow kiddie pool outside I guess is meant to look like a beach but it’s very painful and sharp. So, no one uses it - especially kids. It’s a pity because then there’s really only a kids pool inside. They need to take the time during the winter to resurface that one little section. It was a bummer for my youngest. 3) it’s ridiculous to charge kids 35K for breakfast when all they eat is a bowl of cereal. I regret that and would just grab breakfast at one of the many cafes or bakeries under the hotel - just as good for 1/4 the cost. The breakfast is nice but a rip off unless you are able to gorge yourself. 4) I wish they’d made some small gesture for my daughter, as they knew we were there for her birthday weekend. Even a small gesture would have made her so happy. I do like the hotel overall, though, and these are just things to make it even better.

Its a budget hotel so its important to set your expectations right. Facilities and carpets are old, they only offer occasional room clean up, otherwise clean sets of towels and water will be dropped at your door every other day. Towels are old and sometimes smell. The toilet glass might not be well blurred so if you need privacy with your roommate do keep that in mind. Otherwise, staff are kind and helpful, speaks fluent English and there is a convenience store just at the lobby. They have also recently adopted a cute dog that was abandoned by previous owner so they are all kind hearted people. The view is great if you choose the ocean view as you can see the Seongsan Sunrise Peak Park directly from your balcony. There are numerous great food choices in the area but it could be inconvenient when it rains so plan wisely! Thank you hotel staff for the hospitality!

Overall quite satisfied! Breakfast is also very rich! This hotel is famous for its catering! Especially the pastries are really delicious! It started to rain early the next morning after arriving in Jeju Island, so I went swimming right after breakfast in the morning. The constant-temperature pool was very comfortable, and the rain didn’t affect the experience at all~ It’s surprising that dental equipment is not provided in the room! There are no slippers for children, which is also disappointing. I feel that this kind of service is more convenient than in China~

First70 Hotel, Jeju, Korea - A Mix of Pros and Cons I recently had the opportunity to stay at First70 Hotel in Jeju, Korea and would like to share my experience. While the hotel’s location and service were commendable, I found certain aspects pertaining to cleanliness and amenities rather disappointing. Firstly, let me start with the positives. The hotel’s location is truly superb. Situated in a prime area of Jeju, it offers convenient access to popular attractions and transportation options. Whether you’re looking to explore the natural beauty of this picturesque island or indulge in shopping and dining experiences, First70 Hotel’s location is a definite advantage. The service provided by the staff at First70 Hotel was exceptional throughout my stay. From check-in to check-out, the hotel staff displayed professionalism and a genuine willingness to assist. They were attentive, responsive, and made sure all my needs were met promptly. The level of service truly enhanced my overall experience. However, there were certain areas where First70 Hotel fell short. Cleanliness was one such aspect that left much to be desired. I observed lackluster efforts in maintaining cleanliness standards within the rooms and public areas of the hotel. Stains on carpets, dusty surfaces, and subpar bathroom conditions were evident during my stay. Another disappointment was the state of amenities provided by First70 Hotel. While basic necessities were available, such as toiletries and towels, they seemed worn out or inadequate for a hotel aiming to provide a comfortable experience for its guests. Additionally, the absence of certain amenities that are commonly expected in hotels of similar caliber was quite noticeable. In conclusion, First70 Hotel’s location and service certainly make it an enticing option for travelers visiting Jeju. However, prospective guests should be aware that there are areas where improvement is needed - specifically in terms of cleanliness upkeep and provision of adequate amenities. It is my hope that management takes these concerns into consideration and takes necessary steps to rectify them, in order to provide a more satisfying experience for future guests.

The service is very good. The hotel environment is also very good. You can swim and walk in the forest. It is close to the Chinese tourist area. It is convenient for eating and shopping. It is worth experiencing! ～～～～ Facilities: Good Sanitation: Good Environment: Good Service: Good

It was nice to be greeted kindly at the hotel reception. Fitness was good too! However, it is very regrettable that we could not use the swimming pool due to rain. The movement line was not large, so I did not rent a car and used the bus. The 600 didn't stop near the accommodation... Going to the accommodation by bus seems to be very difficult.

This was my second visit and I might try next year as well if I come to Jeju island again. Food is great for the price. Lovrd the breakfast. As a platinum member, my family was expecting to be upgraded greatly because one of the opening members of this hotel dearly dearly asked to visit here again. She was a model of the advertisement on TV screen of the front desk. My husband and I were a bit doubting with our first stays. My coffee had some bvlgari soap taste and smell from nespresso machine I used. Their bathroom amenities are Bvlgari. I was very unpleasant if they washed the cups roughly by using in room handwash or so. And we had brand new hotel’s Smell issues in the room. I had a terrible headache and allergies with sneezing. When I requested to have some sprays to get rid of the smell , they got me some sprays and air purifier. It didn’t solve much but we enjoyed the sightseeing and nice food selections in the hotel. The room manager sent us nice dessets From the lounge or breakfast buffet desserts to apologize about coffee taste incident. At least, we were grateful to see some gestures of apologies. and we weren’t upgraded our room last time for 5 days in spite of off season. They said the rooms were full but I had been read Of reviews that those who just arrived at the hotel while we were staying. They seemed to have been upgraded. Their tiers weren’t higher than my status all the time. Those lies the front desk workers told us made us upset a bit. I wouldn’t honestly stay here by paying the full prices that they marked. I think Jeju has a lot more of better options with hotel services and its locations to offer. This hotel Was over priced back then and still now. It is even not worth of points of 55,000 Points a night if you don’t get any breakfast for free. There are more options with better professonal options like Sh@@l hotel and many others. I would only stay here when the restaurants wuality and prices arr nice as now and we get all the tier benifits. This time, they just ignored promised not to disapoint my family if we visiy again around June. They dearly promised to upgrade to one of the Suites if we camr back. We thought it couldn’t be trusted but we wanted to trust the words. It was simply ignored many times again and I was also reading the live reviews on Korean traveler’s Blogs and web groups bragging about their Suites that they got upgraded for free during the same periods of stay as us. Theirs was shorter. We wanted and asked even for a day if we could. And they said, everyone was staying as long as us and it is fully occupied. I didn’t understand why the hotel had to lie to us about it. Anyways, we didn’t pay for the Suites - the upgraded luck wasn’t there and can’t be complaint of it. But we were disappointed with the way of their treatment with lies or not so much accommodation.

Although the room is old, the facilities are well maintained. The swimming pool is open until 12 o'clock in the evening, which is rare. The key is that the water temperature of the swimming pool is very high. Even in the weather of more than ten degrees, it is very warm to soak in the water. The hotel has band performances every night. You can order drinks and alcohol by the pool, or soak in the swimming pool to enjoy the experience. It is a great experience. The hotel raises small animals itself, and there is a fixed time in the morning to feed the small animals with free food. The hotel is on the edge of a cliff, and there is a winding path leading to the Chinese Beach. The hotel's own catering is very good. The buffet breakfast is about 600 to 700 yuan per person, but the all-you-can-eat lobster is **. The most impressive is a Matcha Napoleon dessert, one bite at a time, huge and delicious. There are also many varieties of buffet breakfasts, and the quality is online. The key point is that there are self-service popsicles in the morning, which is really great for ice cream lovers like me.

I was worried because there were a lot of accommodations in Jeju. Decided after careful consideration I was 100% satisfied with my 2-night stay with absolutely no regrets. Cleanliness is basic and staff service is key. It was good because it wasn’t too much. And it's not a forced smile, it's natural. I am impressed by the professional response. The microwave oven in the middle also played a role💚 Some parts may be sensitive because there are children. I liked it I'm going to rest well♡

This is my second visit. Overall, there was no cleaning. The bedding in the Ondol room had eyelashes, hair, etc., so I requested a replacement. The topper is very low, making it uncomfortable to sleep on the floor. I asked for just the topper and was told there would be an additional charge. Other hotels and even pensions give you an additional service if you request an additional service, but Somerset seems to charge extra for even the smallest thing. Of course, the floor gets sizzled and the soles of your feet get wet. They cleaned so sloppily that there was a bunch of dust rolling around and I threw it in the trash. It was 3 nights and 2 nights, so I slept for one day and asked for cleaning the next day. They said they would clean it once every two days and they would rent a vacuum cleaner, so I rented it and cleaned it myself. Also, there was a pleasant smell in the master bathroom... I have two babies under 24 months old and the cleanliness was the worst. Even if you go for a low price, isn't it a really cheap pension? The good thing is that the breakfast was delicious and it was a trip for mothers and children without father. It was nice and kind of them to help the 4-year-old boy get in and out of the pool. When I visited two years ago, it was nice and comfortable, so I visited again, but I was disappointed.
