We were returning guests at the end of November this year for 10 nights. From the moment we got off the speedboat we felt back at home. Big hugs and a warm welcome from KK & Thushara whom we had met last year as well as other staff. We find the transfers from the airport very easy and you receive a warm welcome there too. Our request for a Deluxe Beach Villa in the same area of the island as last year was accommodated (Reef side – 196 requested and got 199). We love the layout of the room and the outside bathroom in particular. We love the size of the island and the variety it offers. It is not small, and therefore allows you to do a reasonable amount of steps to get about, but then again not too large. You have the sunset side, the reef side and the waves area (great restaurant for lunches at Waves – in particular don’t miss out on a pizza!) As returning guests we were welcomed by KK and his whole team in the Sunset Restaurant for our breakfast and dinner. We cannot thank the team enough for their warm welcome, smiles, jokes and total professionalism all the time (I am sorry I don’t recall all your names). We were provided with a shark view table every night which was truly appreciated. Nothing was a problem, e.g. providing me with a takeaway coffee in the morning, brought me some naan bread which I love from the Indian Pavillion, some snacks for the journey home, etc. Food was amazing. You will always find something new to try or find a home favourite to enjoy. My eggs made in the morning by the same friendly gentleman – can’t remember his name, but always smiling and nice to us. We enjoyed the addition of the saxophonist this year in the evenings too at the Sunset Restaurant. Also Nofaz (Sunset restaurant team member) made a beautiful shell ornament from local shells for me to take home. A truly wonderful thing to do with such a personal touch which I will treasure for a long time. The Banyan restaurant is also amazing, just larger with a lot of the same food and also amazing staff. The Indian Pavillion is very much worth a visit. Most days we would use the Beach Grill for a light lunch. Anand was lovely and always on hand for hubby’s beer and my glass of wine. We would also swim from one end of the reef to the other end, which ends up at the Beach Grill, stop off for a cocktail and walk back to our sun beds. Good fun! We love Watersports, so like to check in there as soon as we arrive. We went on the free snorkel trip once, for the 2nd one it was too windy so it did not go. We also went on the catamaran with Sammi which was great and I also did a water ski. On my last day I had booked a facial at the Spa which I really enjoyed and felt it was worth every penny. Thank you Timi & Nanda. Overall, we felt we were treated like royalty as returning guests. We are trying to work out when we can fit in a return. It will definitely happen as we just feel happy and relaxed when we are there. Thank you KK in particular for your kindn
