Booked for a one night budget stay on the Argentina side of Iguazu falls. The hotel worked for what we needed. Some information which would have been helpful when we decided to book this hotel. It is not close to the center of Porto Iguazu. You can eat at the hotel restaurant, but if you want to eat at one of the many restaurants in the city center, you would need a taxi or walk about 3 km. Many of the guests seemed to be staying at the hotel for the pool – which was nice. Quite a few families. The employees at the reception were helpful and pleasant. The room was very old, run down and basic, but clean. There was no hot water, internet almost non-existent but the air conditioning worked great.

We arrived at night according to the navigation guidelines. All the way to the black light, I thought I went to the wilderness. The hotel is very wonderful. The room can only accommodate 2 people. The children over 3 years old will have to pay 60 yuan for the room. The half-day price is almost noisy and the final price is 40 dollars. The room decoration design is very simple, almost no decoration. The toilet door is facing the bed, the room on the first floor is simpler, two small beds of one meter wide, no carpet. In China, it is completely incompatible with the five-star standard.

The Saint George Hotel Iguazu rates well below the ”dump” category, relative to its 4-star status. You should stay away from this place. Avoid it at all costs. Details below: 1) Infrastructure: their rooms are so old and outdated that most youth hostels would be nicer and more inviting than them. Their furniture is extremely old. AC is LOUD. The overall quality is disastrous. Everything is awfully patched. The acoustic insulation is nonexistent, and you will be fully immersed in your neighbors' vacation experience, even if all they do is watch TV at a very reasonable volume. Some spots even appear moldy. Last, but not least, the carpet in the common areas is old, ripped, and incredibly dirty. Photos of everything below. 2) Their incredibly absurd policies: the hotel's mentality seems to be ”how can we make our guests' experience a bad one, let's try harder”. Examples: they will not allow for early check-in even if they have capacity, only hold your luggage. ”Room access is not granted until 2 pm” is the standard response. Or at check in they write down your credit card information. They actually capture (type-down) all your card info ”as a warranty” and assure you that it is ”very safely stored” (right...), instead of just blocking a temporary deposit like most civilized places around the world do. We will actually be reporting this to Booking as it is inconceivable. 3) Breakfast: their brekky room is quite small relative to the hotel size. So while the service is available 7-10 or so, you need to pick one of four 40-min (or 50, I do not remember for sure) rotations. This means, instead of just chilling in the morning during your vacation and spontaneously go for brekky when you feel like it, you need to carefully plan when to wake up and shower, so you do not miss your window. All in all, a very very poor experience. A hotel that does not belong, by any stretch of the imagination, in a world-class tourist destination like Iguazu.

It looked great from outside , but has a great potential to be a 5 stars, but not even close. It’s out dated and needs a thorough remodeling. Our room was river view and seems its bathroom has been remodeled. The carpet by the bed is filthy and aged. The sink faucet only has HOT water and after two visits by the handyman it was NOT fixed. Internet is very weak. We had power outage a few times. The view was awesome. You can see the Ferris wheel and the bridge which are in the Brazil side. The Buffett breakfast is a joke. Really. All carbs, fruits and family size cream cheese and jams. After Covid era, single size is more appreciated. No cream for coffee is available only hot milk. If lactose allergy, avoid coffee. The sweets are stale as I think they serve the same day after day. No egg station and only scrambled eggs with some oily side veggies. There’s a center fruit bowl on the fruit table that has an old eggplant on it and a melon and it has gathered lots of Gnats. I told the waiter and he smiled and just shook his hand so the Gnats fly away. No one speaks English except the front desk) they are great in recycling and even have plantable pencils. Seems like they are working to its upbringing. The hallway and entrance needs ventilation as it’s extremely hot and stuffy. Two of the elevators didnot work properly while we were here. It’s just 100 meters to the bus station for Iguazu or airport.

Large, modern, comfortable room with everything needed for the stay. Good breakfast, although on the first day overcrowded thanks to a large tour group preparing for getaway. Food and service in both the ground floor restaurant and the roof terrace were of good quality. Attentive and friendly front desk staff. Spectacular view from roof terrace (rooftop pool closed, but not a problem for us). Recommended.

cheese, fruit at the limit of its useful life, terrible coffee, completely overcooked eggs, crescents—the worst I've ever tasted in my life. Everything is additional: an espresso, additional; an omelet, additional; a cappuccino, additional, etc. They put some tiny cones to mark that you cannot park; when leaving with the SUV, I lightly hit one, and the security personnel, as if you had run over someone, stopped you, and they went to see the cone. Here are two pieces of advice: Foz has many more possibilities; if you go to this hotel, make sure to provide yourself with water; they do not give you a complimentary bottle or a refill point; and fill up with gasoline. As was our case, going to Asunción was a shame, and It's already a shame that the YPFs don't supply foreigners, and we only found one Shell service station. Check-out is at 10 a.m., just as information so that you can anticipate your plans, and ask for rooms finished in more than 10, the others will not have a panoramic view. We paid US$255 per night, so on an objective basis, it is a practical option, but it was not spectacular.

When I review a place it generally means that I had an issue. This hotel is fine for the price but there were several things that wrecked the experience for us. 1-the pool water was green so we couldn’t use it. Lack of chemical maintenance would be my guess. 2-air conditioner had no controls. It was either on or off. We inquired and they said it was the way it is. 3-room 307 has no wifi. Again we inquired and the answer was that’s the way it is in Iguazú. Finally we spoke with a different front desk person who said the WIFI is better on floor 1 so we moved and guess what, the wifi is fine on floor one. Our new room also has batteries in the air conditioning unit so we can control the temperature. Aside from a small amount of black mold growing on the shower caulk, the room is fine. The showers both have a shiny tile floor. Very slippery but they do have a hand hold in the shower. Well, I guess we are in the jungle after all. We were happy to be on the first floor so we wouldn’t have to ride the elevator anymore. The elevator stopped either right on the floor or several inches above or below so rider beware and watch your step! 4-our biggest frustration was with transportation. There are a couple of guys that sit in the lobby and represent a tourist firm of some sorts. They speak or understand no English. If you a Spanish speaker, you may have no problems but we sure did. We were abandoned in Brazil at the water falls there by our driver. We had to be very resourceful to even get back to our hotel. We had no cell service there and although there was wifi at the Falls, it was in operable due to the high traffic. Remember we are in the jungle. We had 2 other issues with transportation solely due to the “tourist company” not really being a company at all. I still don’t know their connection to the hotel but I highly recommend not using these people if you want reliable transportation. 5-the last issue occurred a few minutes ago . We asked for a late check out a couple of days ago and were granted one till 2:00 PM as we were then leaving for the airport. At 11:00 they showed up at our door telling us we had to leave or pay 23.00 late check out. My heart started pumping which can be bad for an old timer and I went directly to the manager. Told him we were granted a late check out by the front desk guy who spoke English. He insisted that we needed to pay the 23.00. I refused to do so and we “discussed “ all of the problems we have had. He was un phased until I said I was going to write a bad review on Trip advisor. Suddenly he said we could stay at no charge till 2. There is also some good to this review.. with the exception of the black mold, the rooms were quite clean. The breakfast was very good and as advertised. The hotel is in a good location. Forgot to say the tv stations are only in Spanish which is what we expect here in Argentina. My advise…if you don’t speak Spanish enough to get by, perhaps try another hotel.

GGuest UserLarge hotel ideally located for visiting Iguazu Falls complete with spa and swimming pool in a wonderful garden setting. Our room was large and very well equipped with a balcony overlooking the garden with its tropical plants. There is a screen attached and you are advised to use the screen to stop any wildlife/creatures entering your room. Air conditioning was efficient and was well used when we visited as we found the heat outside very hard to deal with. The breakfasts were plentiful and would suit all tastes. Bar snacks and evening meals were well presented and tasty and along with drinks were reasonably priced. All staff were very pleasant and helpful and due to the remoteness of the hotel they will arrange taxis to take guests in to the town of Iguazu and further afield. We enjoyed our stay.

This is a hidden gem, especially the restaurant, which had the best food of our trip. Some reviews said taxis didn’t like going there because of the rough road at the end, but our driver had no problem with it. Some reviews said it was moldy but our room was clean , spacious, and even had a bidet. The hotel restaurant and pool have a great view overlooking the Paraná River. The grounds are charming, with a mission motif. Service at the restaurant was impeccable, and prices extremely reasonable by US standards. The bill for ojo de bife (ribeye) which seemed like a filet mignon to us, mashed potatoes, chicken with rice and vegetables, an excellent bottle of Mendoza Malbec, and a passion fruit mousse for dessert, came to about $50 including a generous tip. I believe non-hotel diners are welcome. We stayed at Iguazu Jungle Lodge two nights before and everything was superior here at a better price, only because-it is off the beaten path. Highly recommend.

GGuest UserChecking in was smooth and painless. Room was clean and comfortable. Room and toilet amenities were adequate. Breakfast spread was pretty normal. Housekeeping was great. Overall, staff are quite friendly and helpful. Location was good on a quiet street. Walking distance to the centre of town and to the viewpoint of the rivers dividing the 3 countries of Paraguay, Brazil & Argentina. The hotel has seen it's hey days back when. It's quite dated but the management has done it's darnest to maintain a standard. The restaurant at the pool isn't that good. Like a public pool canteen kinda fare. Lots of area to lounge around the pool. The pool looks like a standard pool at summer camp...like something out of a 60's movie. I gave it a 4* rating as I don't think the Esturion should be short changed as it still has alot to offer if given a chance to be tweaked....but for now it is a solid 3.5*. Would consider staying here again.

The only accessible room of the hotel had a broken ac, a broken tv, no frigobar (although they left a menu with prices for the food that wasn’t there). It was impossible to wash your hands or teeth without ending up soaking wet from head to toes… They seem to think disabled people doesn’t deserve to enjoy a good holiday. They always forgot to bring towels. At the restaurant I’ve seen far better breakfasts at every hostel I’ve been to than in this so-called 4 stars hotel, lack of options in the menu in general. Location is not good at all if you don’t have a car. Not bad for a hostel or 2 stars hotel but would not recommend it. At least its price seems according to its services.

YYUKO5555Location is outstanding in front of the bus terminal which is the base to Iguazu Falls! The staff is also kind and perfect if you just sleep. However, the shower is bad, so I don't recommend it to those who are not accustomed to overseas or want to take a shower firmly. The amenities were no soap for some reason and shampoo and treatment were placed. Naturally, there are no toothbrushes, slippers, etc. Cleanliness is normal. Breakfast was included and there were bread, ham, cheese, sweets, etc. If the price is reasonable and you stay 1 nights from the Argentina side to Puerto Iguazu, I think the location is No.1 anyway! Personally recommended.

GGuest UserI read some of the other reviews and can see some of the points of the negative comments. However, looking at the pictures before we booked, we fully knew what we were getting into. It is basically a hostel and a lot of younger or single or couples traveling stay here. Food prices are a bit high but can't blame them based on the low rate they charge at the facility. It is tired and minimal comforts in the room, but it promotes common area relaxation and the pool is nice and the sounds of the rainforest is enough reason to sit outside and relax. Staff was very helpful and the beer....best beer I had the entire time in Argentina. Their brewer is awesome.

GGuest UserIt is a very nice, very ugly hotel. We had a super spacious triple room but with uncomfortable pillows, mini towels, a wet bathroom with a very poor quality shower curtain in which rainwater leaked. The amenities such as soap and shampoo are also of very poor quality. The staff's attention is not good, they are not friendly and you can only check in at exactly 2pm. Breakfast is homemade, rich and varied with a wide variety of foods. It has a very large pool and borders a section of jungle in the background.

GGuest UserWe regret that you are so disappointed because it is a very nice hotel, but it is disappointed with the disappointment you have and don't give much to stay**** enjoying the facilities. The rooms are not maintained, the furniture is disguised, the towels are scrapped and broken. The pile was missing cleaning, the water was turbid and the space around the pile was very disgusting (a stick backed on a tree, a CIF thrown, the grown grass, dirty tables and chairs, The hotel has a very good location and is very good for the hotel. The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. I repeat that it is a pity because it could be achieved with little to make the facilities prolify so that we can enjoy the place. I hope it will be a constructive criticism that will serve to put the installations in conditions and will be re-exploited as it was certainly when they opened up.
