I have been to many hotels. This hotel is a different kind of hotel. The friendly staff is the most attractive. Among them, Sarah is a really memorable name. She has a good sense of humor and friendliness. The food is very delicious and the beautiful beach is beautiful. This is a different kind of package.

We are third times at pandanus beach resort and spa. Happy to say that they are service specially front office department sara and chathu they were really helpful and friendly would definitely come back thank you for all of yoour big support and service

Had a lovely holiday in this hotel. Chose to go B&B instead of all inclusive, to sample the local cuisine in nearby restaurants. In particular I would recommend Tarick's Sea Garden, Bamboo Shoot and The Beach Club. Similar offerings in all, but good quality and great locations right on the beach and walking distance to the hotel (see separate reviews). If you do go AI in this hotel I would suggest that you venture out to these local places for some authentic food and hospitality. The Pandanus lobby is soulless but it came alive when they decorated it for Christmas which was a nice touch. We had an official lighting ceremony of the tree and numerous other decorations (including full size Santa, sleigh and reindeers on the beach). They even brought a choir in and provided a free drink. When we first arrived it was very impersonal and no nice lighting etc. Our greeting however, was lovely and we were given a cool towel and drink whilst the paperwork was completed. Our room was delightful. A deluxe room on the 5th floor 507 of the main hotel. It was quiet and huge with amazing views of the ocean. The sound of the waves was mesmerising. Our housekeeper was superb and kept the room spotless. We came in everyday to different towel art. Plenty of amenities were provided including bottled water and you can always ask for more if needed. I would suggest that the use of one use plastic is reduced and provide water fountains/ice machines on each floor for guests to refill their own containers. The food was okay. Breakfasts quite extensive with continental and cooked options, lots of pastries, curries and an egg station. The only let down for me was the filter coffee instead of latte/cappuccino options etc. These had to be paid for if you wanted them. We ate 4 times in the restaurant. The first time was on arrival being too tired venture out. We had lobster spaghetti with a beautiful arrabbiata sauce and parmesan. The sauce had been homemade with reduced tomatoes , garlic, chilli and herbs. Unfortunately, we had it a week later and a different chef gave us a foul sauce of ketchup and garlic. Our complaint to the restaurant manager went nowhere and we felt we should not have been charged for the meal or a complimentary bottle of wine as an apology. The RM just said it was a different chef and he would tell him! The buffet meals served to the AI guests was okay with a choice of Sri Sankan and western dishes as well as soups and salad etc. We were glad not to be AI as eating the buffet twice, was enough. There was building work for about a week with hammering and drilling just below our room and close to the beach sunbathing area. I think we should have been informed about this in advance, it was quite intrusive. The pool is lovely. Don't be put off by the colour. Someone decided to put green/brown tiles in the pool which makes it look dirty. It was actually spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Beach towels are provided and there was always plenty su
