The sports facilities were excellent. The pools were amazing and simple to book, for every session I had a 50m lane to myself. The classes we joined were also well run, challenging and enjoyable. The booking app worked well. Bike team were great, I hired a bike for a week which was reasonably priced and well maintained. The guided rides are good but be aware the ride leaders are incredibly strict about riding 2x2 in a group - some are more friendly than others in directing you, others are quite grumpy- to the extent it detracted from the enjoyment of the ride on a couple of occasions. Before you sign up I would recommend having a discussion with the bike team about your experience and what suits you best. I’m a strong and experienced cyclist but had not ridden in this way before so it was a struggle. Food was very good, we ate in El Lago a couple of times which we enjoyed. Also made a trip into La Santa village for a very nice meal at Restaurant Alma. Otherwise we self-catered having rented a car and able to get to the larger supermarkets for supplies. On site supermarket is decent and has fresh bread and croissants every morning We stayed in one of the newer 1 bed suites which was clean and well maintained. Main issue for us was the room was very warm at night. Although air-con is advertised it only goes down to 22 degrees, which meant the room stayed warm all night (nb- we have just spent 3 years living in Australia so no strangers to the heat). There is a decent breeze at night so opening windows would have made it comfortable. Unfortunately the design of the buildings is such that the bedroom windows are directly above the patio area for the family suites - and we were unlucky enough to be above an inconsiderate family who, despite polite requests, kept making noise late into the night. Hence sleeping was a real challenge, and having been there for a training camp, not being able to sleep and recover properly negated the benefits of the resort as a whole. We did ask if we could move and/or if the settings on the AC could be changed but no luck, the guest service is below the quality of the resort as a whole (restaurant and Green team aside who were very good) Would love to go back if we knew we could get a decent night’s sleep. I would give it 5* if that were the case. We were due to return in September for a big training camp before an important race but have decided to cancel, sadly.

We have just spent 7 nights here with children aged 6 , 8, 12, 16, 19. As we were such a large family I did have to book 2 rooms. I sent an email request asking for these to be next each other. This was no possible but they did have us in the same block and floor. We arrived early hours and was given a packed lunch by reception which we thought was lovely. Although the sandwiches were mouldy so obviously was not eaten. We were happy with our rooms, they were very basic but were clean. Before coming were thought the hotel had more restaurants but infact there are 2 serving identical foods. During the day the pool bar also served your basic snacks of pizza, chicken nuggets, chips ect. We chose to go all inclusive but because the food was very basic we only ate on the hotel grounds twice throughout the week. The hotel has several pools and one main pool. Main pool has a few small slides which the children enjoyed and there is also a splash park for the younger children which was great. There was never any need to rush and put your towels down as their was always plenty of sun loungers. We would use the main pool of a morning then use the smaller pool at our apartment block during the afternoon just for some quieter relaxation time. During the evening there is entertainment for the children, I wouldn't say this is the best but I was ok to pop down for an hour before we headed out off site. The hotel grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The grounds are huge and everywhere looks identical so getting lost became the norm! Getting off site was fine, reception would call us taxis and it was only 5 euros into playa blanca or down to the marina. Over all we had an ok week, and the kids had fun. I wouldn't choose to stay here again but I wouldn't tell people not to book here either

This hotel is in a lovely quiet location. It has great amenities including several pools and restaurants. The best thing is the staff who are fantastic, friendly and very helpful. Food is good but not great. We felt they would benefit from including daily specials to boost variety. It’s worth upgrading to Preferred for the access to private pool area and restaurants. One strange thing is that despite being adults only most of the pool areas are very shallow so not suitable for swimming. We would recommend eating at the sushi bar Gotham. The chef is brilliant, very charismatic and makes some fantastic sushi. Our trip went well for 8 days but then the hotel was invaded by a massive group of Americans on a corporate reward group. This turned a hotel that was supposed to be romantic and for couples into a noisy, shindig. The noise levels increased with the alcohol consumption from late afternoon until late night. It was a very disappointing end to what had been a lovely holiday. Surely a hotel that advertises it is for couples should not be offering mass corporate stays.

We have just returned from a 10 day family holiday at dreams. We had a room overlooking the kids slide pool and stayed on an All Inclusive basis. The hotel is stunning and is refurbished to a very high standard. The lobby and communal areas are beautiful & have a very luxurious feel. Our room was perfect for us - clean & comfortable. Rooms are cleaned daily to a good standard and the mini bar is replenished with drinks daily. The beds and linens are very comfortable - we slept really well our entire trip. Small gripe we weren’t given towels 2 days but we were able to order them on the app to be delivered to our room. The food in the hotel does vary in terms of quality. Breakfast in the world cafe is great - plenty of options to choose from and generally something for everyone. To be honest I can’t really say the same about lunch and dinner in the buffet, we only had dinner once and lunch once, and neither time were we impressed much. The coco cafe is a lovely alternative if you don’t mind a lighter lunch or some cake/coffee instead. They do a great caramel frappe and they also have some really yummy ice creams - our daughter loved it there. The A La Carte restaurants are much better , although again standards vary. Our favourite was Portofino closely followed by The Bluewater Grill. The asparagus & Iberian ham soup is gorgeous! Sabor had great starters and desserts but the mains were a little hit & miss. Himitsu was a bit of a let down for us. We stayed at Dreams in the Caribbean and Himitsu was our favourite, however my husband had a green seafood curry that was neither green nor curry. He said it was like drinking a salty soup. The chocolate dessert again wasn’t great, not a 5* offering. My main feedback or hopefully constructive criticism would be lack of consistency. I ordered the same dish two nights in a row - first night amazing - second night just ok. We also had a few occasions where we ordered the same thing but they came out looking different. Or dishes advertised as containing certain ingredients but arriving without.If things could just be a bit more consistent it would really improve the experience. One of my favourite things about the hotel is the staff. I’ve got to say that whilst there were times I could see that they need more, the ones that are there are incredibly hard working, passionate and professional. We were treated like family from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. I’d like to give a special mention to Maria & Sarah at the kids club who were great with our little girl. Victoria at the Marlin bar who helped me practice my Spanish - she’s a gem! Hugo & Denisa on the entertainment team - so much fun and laughter had with these two. And in the restaurants Aaron, Gorka & Marcos always made us feel so welcome and taken care of. And of course Daniel - every hotel should have a Daniel he is just so lovely and makes your guest experience very special. Our daughter was delighted every time she saw him. O
