Too overpriced!! No Wi-Fi as in all Sama hotels. No mentioned pool. Breakfast was so poor A standard room gave me the sense of hostel but not a comfort

Quite a drive on a rocky road to get there but what an amazing place! The spatial design integrates perfectly with the surrounding mountain area and natural materials were used for many of the cottages and main building. Spacious rooms with breathtaking view over Jebel Shams. At night, enjoy a total silence. We ate at the terrace but the heaters made sure we stayed warm.

Bof! Campement sur le jebal shams avec des prestations basiques. Literie hyper dure, accueil moyen, nourriture pas terrible. Les chambres avec vue sur le parking!!! Qui a eu cette idée? Piscine inexistante. Les chambres sans charme, semblant de décoration qui se veut locale et Omanaise, salle de bains avec baignoire glissante Je ne recommande pas ce campement qui n'offre aucun intérêt

Pros: - Great location: beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, and a short (10 minutes or so) drive to the start of the Balcony Walk. - Nice of the staff to upgrade us to a stone chalet with a mountain view! - Buffet breakfast and dinner included. - Clean, quiet, comfortable room (stone chalet) with everything we needed. - Good playground for kids, and plenty of outdoor seating. - Peaceful setting. Neutral: - The breakfast and dinner buffets were fine, I guess especially for being up in the mountains, but nothing to necessarily write home about. - The water in the shower took ages to get hot, so be sure to turn on the water heater as soon as you arrive if you want a hot shower at night. Cons: - There was no housekeeping (we stayed two nights). - We had to ask for toilet paper--even on the first day. Stayed two nights here with our toddler, and probably would stay again. It's up in the mountains, and even in mid-April it was a tad chilly at night (pants and a sweater were fine though, and the rooms come with space heaters, which we definitely used).

What a lovely and unique resort! The drive alone to get there is an adrenaline rush, and not for the faint of heart. The resort is built mostly local material. It has modern touches and amenities while seeming authentically Omani. The breakfast and dinner buffets that were included were excellent. Not a lot of selection but definitely enough, and considering how remote this location is everything was fresh and quite tasty. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The hotel's tagline is "Designed to Make Your Stay Magnificent" and they certainly lived up to it.

Beautifully located resort. Awake to the most serene and dramatic Mountain View that you can imagine on Jabal Shams, Oman highest peak. With close proximity to the breathtaking Balcony walk this is the perfect location to explore the upper reaches of Jabal Shams.

It is a good option although expensive, since there are not many other facilities. It is made up of stone houses and tents and you eat buffet style, not of great quality. They are very kind and in January it is quite cold, we are at 2000 meters above sea level. the rooms are large and the beds are good, as usual there are no sockets in the bathroom and there are few places to put things. It is perhaps the best place for the balcony walk. 4x4 is highly recommended to get there.
