Acacia Village is an oasis in Juba. The staff were, without exception, kind, welcoming and caring and go out of their way to make the Acacia a real home away from home. My cottage was roomy and comfortable and spotlessly clean with excellent airconditioning. The restaurant serves really good food with different specials every night and there is a good size pool. Their security is also excellent. My only recommendation for improvement is to have wine, other than Cellarcask which is awful, available by the glass.

My first stay, a week ago, was excellent—I booked an 80m² room with a pool view and received exactly what was advertised. A week later, I made the very same booking and received my confirmation from a lady called Dawa. So far, so good. However, upon arrival, they tried to place me in a cabin or cottage that 1) was not poolside, 2) was smaller and visibly more worn out than the room I stayed in before, and 3) had a terrible, mouldy, rotten smell. When I enquired about the room I had actually booked, I was told: "It is under renovation!" I am certain this is not how Acacia Resort typically conducts its business or treats its customers. This situation reflects blatant incompetence and negligence by the person who confirmed my initial booking but failed to inform me that the room was no longer available. A simple notification would have saved me the disappointment and wasted time - I travelled across the city for nothing and had to return home. My spoilt weekend doesn’t seem to count. The final straw was when the same person who made the erroneous booking (Dawa) asked me to "officially cancel my stay online via the booking app" - effectively expecting me to pay the full booking price for their mistake, despite not having a place to stay! Imagine the arrogance!

I have been staying here for years. One of the rare occasions places where the facility, staff, service and food are 100% reliable. Always top notch in every way, I love the break from the craziness, the warm welcome and the atmosphere to regroup, get work done or just breath.

The Hotel is very good compared with other lodges style in Juba. I love the green areas and enjoyed the food as well. the internet was disturbing me while I was using zoom meeting and they need to improve that.

I will definately recommend Acacia Village as the best resort in Juba, in my opinion. From Andy and Marylane, the management, chefs Kenneth, John and Siza, the waiters & waitrons, cleaners and support staff are so friendly, respectful and helpful. The food is truly amazing. Our stay has been a blessing, we appreciate this standout team very much.

In the mid of the very hot weather of Juba, Acacia offers the most pleasant environment for your cooling. It is well decorated with green vegetation everywhere, and I would frequently wonder how they were able to keep it green all-year long. There's also a beautiful pool that usually comes in very handy. Regarding the service, all I can say is INCREDIBLE! So there was an issue with my room, which I immediately reported it the next morning to the reception. It needed a bit of engineering, and technical expertise to sort it, but I was shocked by the amount of time it took them to resolve the issue. I was generally impressed. Similarly, on the last day, I had arranged my own ride to the airport, but it had unfortunately delayed and I was almost about to miss my flight. The hotel taxi immediately intervened and I was able to catch my flight early and at no any additional cost. I was very impressed by the service mostly. They also have a very nice kitchen with excellent meals - I really enjoyed the food especially the African varieties. Excellent air conditioning, hot showers and TV access to multiple channels (Premier League especially) were an awesome bonus to me too. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Juba.

I am currently staying here. Just for two nights. It IS as pretty as the pictures. The rooms are nice, the grounds are well-maintained, there is hot water and wifi. The restaurant is good and all of the staff are pleasant. The reason i am giving it an average review is that the level of customer service is poor. On arrival i wanted to change money. They would not assist me in changing money and said they could not tell me where i could do it myself. They said i could pay them $50US for a taxi into town if i liked, but without any local currency i would be unable to do anything in the city. They asked me right away for money for the bill, but I had to ask them for basic things like wifi access. I received a wine bottle full of drinking water in my room and they said I was entitled to have it refilled once per day, but on the second day they refused to refill it. There was no housekeeping. I asked if they could at least make the bed and empty the garbage and they said they do not provide housekeeping services on Sunday. Given that I arrived on Saturday and am leaving first thing monday morning, this is of little help. To be clear, I am not a fussy person. I normally stay in hostels and inexpensive places, but this is $150 US/night and I would expect, at that price, better assistance. So I think if you want a pretty place to stay and do not require any tourist type of assistance, then this place is fine. But my experience here is not good and I would not recommend it generally.
