For some of the weekend, I took a train from Xi’an to Kaifeng. This weekend, a cold front came in. It didn’t matter because the Gulou night market had everything I needed to adjust. I found some hidden spots (like Bayu Morning Rikaye Alcohol, Lecker’s Leban German Restaurant, and Jieyou Grocery Little Bar) while exploring. The Millenium Park, Gulou Market, and Wansui Shan Wuxia City are very close. The hotel property is great for walking, and the room was really comfortable. Front desk was easy to communicate with despite the language barrier, and everything very efficient. There is a nice gym and pool, but I was out exploring. There is also a shuttle which can take you to a couple of spots nearby. This property is good for conventions or families, but I was fine as a solo traveler. Food good.

However, if you don't drive back, you can only walk back if there is no shuttle bus. It takes a long time. You can only call the front desk to call a taxi. The hotel environment and rooms are good. The breakfast variety is good and varied. It's average. The room is large and easy to have dead corners.

The next day, the relevant person in charge of the hotel treated us to a free buffet lunch to make up for the bad experience brought to us, but I don’t know if it was a coincidence or something, and the most basic food safety problem appeared again! At this point, I was speechless...
