Perfect spot to rest my head. I needed a bed to break up the drive from Picton to Christchurch (after taking an afternoon ferry across from Wellington). A bunk bed in a shared dorm at low cost was all I needed. The view from the lounge and living room was an absolute bonus. Thank you.

We stayed here for one night as part of a little surprise trip for my husbands birthday. Two friends came along so it was 4 of us total staying in the shared accomodations room bunk beds. The common areas were very well presented/newly renovated, clean, and had a beautiful view right across from the water. You're not far from fishing, walks, great food & coffee which we loved. The rooms themselves are comfy and well-equipped with linens and pillow. The only feedback I will say is that if you're a hot sleeper, you might be a little toasty but you may be able to request a fan.

We have stayed at the Seaside Lodge twice now and will visit again. The location of this place is on point: tranquil sea, snow covered mountains with amazing sun rises. The view from the dining room is unmatched.
