This place is the WORST place I have ever stayed. If I had booked a cheap floozy house of ill-repute I would have had a better experience!! Dirty place, no one to contact for help, no cable or wifi, contact phones were disconnected when called, folding door fell off when we tried to open it for washer and dryer, overhead light had NO cover, homeless camp right outside the balcony, dryer lint trap was so full of lint it was a fire hazard, curtain rods in front room for lanai was so rusted it was difficult to open curtains, A/C coated with dust and cobwebs, bathroom fan cover COATED with dust and lord knows what else. If I had stayed outside at the homeless camp I probably would have had a better experience.

There's a reason this is the pic on the website for this rental. Ground level, view of nothing but a rock wall. Between a parking lot and the pool. Room needed work. Toilet tank drained and refilled every 15 minutes. Reported it day 1, never fixed. Numerous other repairs needed. Couch was horribly uncomfotable. Was the property waterfront? Yes. Short walk down the road to a nice lagoon, bars and restaurants, which was awesome, because its $15 an hour to park anywhere in Kona

The location is excellent. Our suite, E-1, was a basement apartment, but it was a walk-out so it had a lot of light in the living room, just not in the bedroom. It was very spacious. The kitchen has been renovated recently and it was nice and very functional. But the bathroom was unacceptable. The walls were peeling in big hunks, there was a paint-spattered, dirty window, and there was a weird glob of spackling or something where they had moved the shower rod. In the bathroom and elsewhere, the furniture was beat up and worn beyond what I would expect. The air conditioning worked well but had a musty smell. There isn't much to the resort but it was well kept.

立地はとても良く、海にも出れるのでとても良いです。ただ、少し古いのでその点だけ構わなければとても素晴らしい。半分近い部屋が住人の様でquiet time PM10 to AM8となってます。

Cancel my reservation 24 hours before our flight left. Told me that my room had major issues They flat out lied. Room was being used by another family that paid more. I'm out 500.00 more and they didn't care. Very upset with them. Just lied. Mohala they said. I'll go back tomorrow and take photos.

Great views however rental unit itself for the great Oceanview condo was not good. It needs some updating! It was unit D01. *The master bedroom bed was really bad, huge lumps in it and sagged really bad. *The toilet upstairs made a really loud noise every time the flushed it and it may have had a leak in it because the ceiling had a kind of bulge and crack in it like there may be a water leak. *The curtains in the living room and bedroom had big tears in them so if people wanted to look in they could. *The windows were really in need of cleaning. *The air conditioner only cooled the living room, and they had a standing fan, but it was broken and didn’t work. *The doors to the washer and dryer were off the track and kept wanting to fall off so you had to be very careful with them. *The dryer vent was broken so it was hard to use the dryer because the door didn’t want to close. *The living room couch cushions had slits in them like were holes *The paint on the floorboards in the master bedroom, look like it was chipped and falling apart, like almost like they had a mold issue The view helped for the week, and if you don't care about something being run down then sure rent this place, but we won't stay here again.

When we arrived we were assigned room E3. This is bottom floor E building next to the pool. A dark little room that shares a common patio with rooms E1 and E2. The room has a view of people sitting at the pool. The room features a king bed in the bedroom, along with a pullman in the living room. The sliding glass door does not have a locking mechanism, just a handle. According to the on site personnel, these rooms are pre-assigned by Raintree and there is no option to move us to a nicer room. So this glorious hole cost me 2 years of points... Fabulous. We went to Hilo to stay with friends for the first couple of nights. Interestingly enough, we came back on night 3 to find that someone had started a plumbing project in the kitchen... How I wonder did they figure that we would not return? Back to Hilo we went. This would have been our 5th stay at the Kona Reef over the last 10 years or so. This it the third occasion where we have booked it through Raintree Vacation Club. Last year we di as well, and we had to leave the first night because the whole room smelled like someone had poured an entire bottle of Clorox in the place... burning eyes, it was bad news. On day 2 we bought cleaning supplies and cleaned it ourselves. So my point, the Reef is nice... we've rented other rooms there through other companies that have been just fine... but please, DO NOT RESERVE YOUR ROOM AT THE KONA REEF USING RAINTREE VACATION CLUB! You'll be sorry. Ive posted pictures of the room including the wonderful tub, and the mess the plumbers left us on day 3.
