Good overall experience. Gentleman at front counter was great and friendly to deal with. Same with the waiter at the restaurant he was very personable, friendly, and respectful. Room was clean and mattress was comfortable. Also in a very central location for conferences, other restaurants, and access to the highway. Restaurant had a good breakfast menu.

The appearance of the hotel is very beautiful, the house is clean, I pay great attention to the wall tile gap of the bathroom and the edge of the basin sealant. There is no mold, there is no such a hotel in the early level, can be so clean, I am very satisfied. The facilities in the house are very good, the rooms are very spacious and the price is very high.

This was our first stay at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised about the age and condition of the hotel. It is reasonably new and has a large airy lobby with multiple sitting areas (which was empty when we were there). We stayed at the tail-end (we hope) of the pandemic for a chance to try out this hotel when it wasn't too busy or too expensive. There are two Holiday Inns in Kamloops, so watch the address. This is the one on the North Shore (across the Thompson River from downtown). There is another that is close to Hwy 1 & Hwy 5 on the way into town from Vancouver. There is a White Spot Restaurant on site where we ate dinner & breakfast. I will review it separately, but the food was excellent, prices were mid-range to a bit expensive (breakfast $15-$20, dinner $15-$30). Breakfast is NOT included with your room cost at this hotel. Both hotel and restaurant followed all COVID protocols in place at the time, even having sanitized pens available for check-in. The hotel and room were very clean. We were comfortable & and slept well. The only glitch was that on check-in, we were told that the accessible room we had reserved wasn't available. They had reassigned us to a regular room, thinking that we didn't really need the accessible room. When I asked, the cheaper rate of ”any room available when you check in” was granted, rather than the more expensive rate we had booked online to be able to choose a specific room. Another time, as well as booking online, I will phone the hotel to confirm that the room type we have booked is available. We found out that this hotel has only one accessible room, so don't expect to stay in it at a busy time unless you book well ahead. We were able to tour this room before we left town and found that it would meet our needs in the future. It has a very nice roll-in shower. Light switches are also lower than usual, but the rest of the room was very similar to the regular room with one king-sized bed that we were assigned. If it wasn't for the check-in glitch, I would give this hotel a rating of 5. We will likely stay again and would recommend it to visitors to Kamloops, especially if you want to be on the North Shore. It would be a very nice option not too far from the airport, if that is important to you.

This was the hotel chosen for us to stay at as part of the Rocky Mountaineer Train from Banff to Vancouver. I am aware that many are not happy with this hotel or it seems any hotel the Train uses as part of the trip for Kamaloops. I had read many reviews leading up to our trip, but we were actually pleasantly surprised. It was fine. We were already given a key to hotel room while on the train so check in was as simple as walking in and riding an elevator up to our floor. Room was close to elevator as had been requested due to mobility issue. Not an accessible Room but was roomy and comfortable. Very small bathroom. Not the best water pressure but Clean. I went down to request a bath mat. The young man at desk was super busy on phone and dealing with people but was polite and remained calm regardless of it all. He managed to find a bath chair as well as the mat. There is a restaurant right there in lobby and an area to sit outside. Bottles of water, pop, and a few snacks are available right next to front desk. It is my understanding there is alot of restaurants ect in the area but we did not venture out. We feel that we got a good night's sleep and that the front desk met our needs. I admit I never thought to take pictures of the room ect because nothing really stands out. But it was not in disrepair and we would recommend for a affordable choice of 1 night while in kamaloops.

The location is in the center of the town. The pizza shop opposite is said to be one of the more popular shops in the local area. The hotel is old, but you can feel the glory of the past. The breakfast is very simple. It is scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, toast and fruit. It basically meets the demand. The parking lot is on the side of the hotel. We were blown away by the quality of service at the delta hotel in kamloops. The staff were friendly and efficient, everything went smoothly starting with our checkin, the front desk agent made the gesture to congratulate us on our engagement. The pool area was spotless and well maintained. We were also impressed with the food at Cordo restaurant, coming from Vancouver we have no shortage of great restaurants, and I would say that cordo is very on par with the dining experience in Vancouver. The menu selection was fantastic and cocktails were also very thoughtful. Make sure to check out stills distillery while staying at the hotel for some tapas and cool drinks. Thanks Delta Kamloops, we will be back!

The room is amazingly clean. The 2 double beds and pillows are very comfortable. However, the single bed is sagging and made a lot of noise when you turn. Price is very reasonable. The bathroom fan is very weak. The Motel’s restaurant, the Hideout Cafe, only opens at 8:00 am which I think is a bit late for travellers. If bathroom fan and restaurant open hours can improve, this is overall a very good motel.

The good things about this place are location by the river, and the rooms appear to have been updated. However: the sink is directly inside to the right, where the door swings open. The concrete sidewalks around the building and on the way to stairs are terrible...rough, uneven, a tripping hazard. The exterior walls going up the outside stairs are filthy. What looks like former all-weather carpeting on vertical portions of the stairs is torn and dirty. Most of all, we (exhausted from a bad day of driving the previous day), left a suit bag containing about $700 worth of shirts and pants hanging in the closet cabinet. The day after we checked out, we discovered the mistake and called the hotel. When we explained the problem three or four times until the clerk figured out what our problem was, the 'sweet' young woman said she would check with Housekeeping. She took my number. No phone call that day. The second day, a different un-empowered 'sweet' woman on the desk said no note had been left and that housekeeping had not turned in anything. When pressed, she admitted that perhaps no one had actually checked. So the next day I called again and this time connected with a man who seemed to have some authority. He firmly promised he's check with housekeeping. I firmly asked that he actually go to our former room and check the closet. He promised to do that and call me back in 15 minutes. He did not. The next day I called, and was told the man was on a day off. The day after that, they told me the man did not actually work in the office, and that he was off somewhere else in BC, ”checking on our other properties”. I can conclude only two things: either the housekeeping staff stole the clothing and lied when asked, or the next day's guest stole them. If I managed that hotel, I would be humiliated by how the staff treated a guest, pretending to try to help, then not actually lifting a finger, and when confronted, not owning up to and apologizing for the guest's loss

HHONGYINGThe room is facing the street and the noise is loud at night. The small refrigerator drip is also very noisy. Breakfast is quite simple, count as basic breakfast. You can park for free, pay attention to the area, the front desk will register the license plate number, and put a strip on the dashboard. The traffic is full. There are 7-11 blocks per block, and there are not many things.
GGuest UserJust had a great supper at a very reasonable price. Great service. It is a little out of the way put with them help if GPS we found it. They have an every day seniors menu with about 5 different entries including two sides for $17.95. We didn't take advantage of his but saw a large group of seniors that appeared to enjoy their meals.
XXiaoguaibaobeiyingyingjoviService: Self-driving with children from Vancouver to Banff, with one night’s rest in transit
I checked in at the front desk and struggled for more than an hour at 7:30 in the evening. The reason was that the hotel did not recognize my visa card as a credit card (there was no chip, so I could only swipe a magnetic stripe card), and domestic Unipay could not be used.
The front desk asked my friend in Nanaimo to send me a credit card or ask the supplier to change hotels for me.
Finally, with the efforts of Ctrip and the supplier, we reached an agreement with the hotel owner + front desk and allowed me to use the visa card.
Hygiene: Relatively clean and tidy. It meets the standards of a motel. It is suitable for resting. The bedding is relatively comfortable for sleeping.
Facilities: The air cooler is very noisy and needs to be turned off at night
Environment: There is a small outdoor swimming pool. Some children were playing when we arrived. It is very convenient for fast food and gas nearby.
Friends who start here or go to Banff via here must fill up the tank. If I remember correctly, the next gas station is more than 200 kilometers away.
AAnonymous UserWe stayed on the side of the hotel near the train track. We didn’t sleep much at night. It was too noisy. We wanted to feel like the train was going into the room. It was deafening and the child was crying. This was a very dissatisfied and unpleasant experience.
GGuest UserTwo stays, one on the way from Calgary to Victoria, one return. First stay, found the hotel ok, but the parking exit was awkward. Breakfast was disappointing. Tables were not wiped between guests. Pancake machine made undercooked pancakes. Second stay, the hotel was overbooked so we did not get the requested room. Instead a top floor suite, we thought would be better but was dirty, not cleaned between guests, very noisy due to balcony not closing properly, and same problems as before.
Whilst the room was good, well appointed and great facilities including a very good bed, it’s the reception that lets this place down. The day before we were due to arrived we received a precheck in email confirming our details and offering us an early check in (1 pm) rather than the usual 3 pm. We accepted the early check in and received an email confirmation. Upon arrival at 1.00 pm we were advised by a very rude person at reception “the room is not ready check out was only at 11 and to come back at 3. I advised him that we had been offered an early check in yesterday to which he flatly denied that was possible and it was only after I asked to speak to the manager that he was able to find the paperwork confirming our early check in. Lot of stress for absolutely no reason
王王No extra bed for children, there is a problem, there is no slippers and shower cap, it is very inconvenient. Wi-Fi is not free, check-in is very slow... I don’t know what to do on the keyboard for a long time. The room is quite wide, the bed is very Comfortable...
HHONGCHUANThis hotel is actually a Motel. For a stopover from Vancouver to Jasper, this hotel is absolutely fine. In addition, the price of 300+ yuan is also very cost-effective. Breakfast was modest and the service girl was hospitable.
XXINLANCalculating the surrounding price is relatively cheap. A twin room was set up and the faucet was found to be bad after check-in. The family suite with a kitchen (one big one small two beds + one sofa bed) was upgraded free of charge. The decoration is relatively old, and the price can't ask too much. Family room kitchen pot is less, a pan + a soup pot, if you want to open your own, you can only cook a noodle. Breakfast is very simple, bread, milk, yogurt, muffins, cakes, jams, butter, that's all. There is a supermarket opposite, it is very convenient to buy things.
