Staying at KK Heritage was a delight. I spent 9 days there. The rooms are comfortable, views from the veranda are lovely, and the ambience is calm. The homestay is on a backwater, with the beach nearby. Getting to the beach or to streets that lead to the village is quick, though the paths that lead to them could be challenging for anyone with significant mobility impairment. There are numerous beautiful walks to take in any direction, and birdwatching opportunities are plentiful. The main reasons I will return, though, have to do with the hosts, who are exceptionally warm and welcoming. Ranji and Jyothi are also quite accommodating, providing great suggestions for how to follow your interests in the area, from teyyam to handloom weaving to local temples. Ranji also makes the best home-cooked food I have eaten over decades of staying in India -- he is an amazing cook. I will definitely be back!
