Excellent hotel! The location is great, next to the ocean, it has its own area with sun loungers, the area is guarded. Very convenient location - not far from Mnemba island, half an hour drive to Nungwi, half an hour walk to Matemwe, where there are many shops. The rooms are beautiful, clean bed linen, air conditioning, hot water in the bathroom 24 hours a day. The food in the restaurant is very tasty, the portions are good. The staff is friendly. I would like to thank the hotel managers Maurice and Munisi for their excellent work and thank you for a great holiday!

I didn’t not enjoy the food as the potion is very small and the hotel is far from other restraunts
I was dissapointed and decided to book other place wastage of money The hotels around this areas should do so much better as hotels are far from other areas and you can’t get food somwhere else they should definately consider their guest

Clean, very friendly and helpful staff.
I think the description of Boutique hotel does not correspond to reality, a good 3 star hotel, well decorated, but which has had its day, at the moment well used.
The location was good for our purpose, scuba diving on the island of Mnemba.
The beach in front of the hotel is full of boats and (this may change) full of sea urchins. Not the most pleasant place to swim.
For breakfast you get a plate of fruits, juice, water, coffee or tea and you can choose a dish: English or Omelette or Porridge, etc. If you want anything else, you will have to pay US$10.00.
Few good options for lunch or dinner outside the hotel, 1 restaurant very close, and another one you have to walk about 20 minutes by the beach. We ate a few times at the hotel during our stay, the food was good. Drinks reasonably priced, not exaggerated like other hotels.

We had a great stay and a wonderful time at J.B.R.
The property is well kept, cozy and very pretty; our room was clean, spacious and comfortable.
The restaurant is excellent! The service is a little slow (no issue for us), the staff is friendly, the food is delicious and not expensive.
Cherry on the cake: 1. We loved the shampoo & body wash offered by the resort; 2. The live band on Wednesday was a great surprise and so much fun!

Une expérience inoubliable - personnel d'une extrême gentillesse, parfait pour des vacances reposantes. La plage est superbe, la cuisine est excellente et variée, les chambres sont spacieuses, bien décorées, la literie très confortable. On y est tout de suite comme chez soi, grâce à l'attention et l'efficacité de Maurizio, le manager !

Agréablement surpris par l’accueil, le service et la gentillesse de Maurizio et son staff. Les prix du restaurant sont moins cher que les autres hôtel ou resort de la plage de Matemwe contrairement aux avis que j’avais lu precedement .Le chef cuisinier est exceptionnel et très à l’écoute des demandes de La clientèle. Le poulpe grillé qu’il nous a préparé était divin sans parler de la soupe de potimarron, gingembre et noix de coco . Je reviendrai à coup sûr avec mon épouse

Siamo arrivati in questo magnifico resort il 22 agosto dopo aver trascorso un pò di giorni in Tanzania per un safari. Il posto è magnifico, ti consente letteralmente di staccare. Il resort è fatto in modo tale che sei immerso in una natura meravigliosa, non esistono barriere di cemento che ti dividono dalla spiaggia, immensa e bianchissima, e dall'oceano con la barriera corallina. Le stanze del resort sono grandi, pulite e molto curate con degli affacci mozzafiato sul panorama. La cucina è ottima, con piatti curati e di vario tipo. Lo staff è molto gentile, accogliente e sorridente. Infine che dire di Maurizio? Un ottimo padrone di casa, capace di instaurare con ogni cliente un bel rapporto personale, sempre disponibile a dare consigli per godersi al meglio il periodo di vacanza. A Matemwe si respira moltissimo l'atmosfera di Zanzibar, fortunatamente non ci sono quegli aspetti turistici che annullerebbero l'originalità del luogo.

Mon séjour à l'hôtel a été globalement satisfaisant. L'ambiance est calme, et la chambre avait un style atypique, ce qui la rendait unique. Cependant, la propreté laissait à désirer : la tête de lit et la moustiquaire étaient sales, moisissures sur le plafond de la salle de bains ,ce qui est dommage. Le restaurant de l'hôtel propose de bons plats, mais les prix sont assez élevés. De plus, l'emplacement n'est pas idéal pour sortir dîner en dehors de l'hôtel. Après 20h, la mer remonte, rendant la promenade sur la plage impossible. Enfin, la piscine était décevante : elle était sale et on ne voyait pas le fond, contrairement aux photos. Grand + pour le personnel agréable et à l’écoute.
