Beautiful looking hotel, good location, wonderful swimming pool, nice pier and the little islets for the rooms are quite nice.
For the rooms it's another story, it may have been a 5 star 10 years ago but not today.
Furniture stained and user, ditto for bedding, average cleanliness. Overall it deserves a major renovation to regain 5 stars. We had to ask to change rooms…
Average but correct food, a big plus for the Jetty restaurant whose dishes are simply excellent.
In short, in summary the value for money is very average, if you have this kind of budget, take another 5 *, otherwise pay less and take a nice 4 * at half price.

Siamo stati qualche giorno in questo hotel per trascorrere una parte del nostro viaggio di nozze. E' veramente bello, molto particolare, decorato secondo lo stile tradizionale dell'isola e vanta un enorme tetto Makuti che lascia senza fiato. La struttura, che si colloca all'interno di una cornice molto suggestiva, è sempre pulita e ordinata, così come le suite. L'attenzione per i dettagli e la cura dell'ospite sono il fiore all'occhiello del resort. Il personale, infatti, è sempre molto gentile, sorridente e subito disponibile per soddisfare tutte le esigenze dei clienti. L'hotel è dotato di una sauna, una palestra e una piscina di acqua salata con libero accesso e di una SPA meravigliosa a pagamento. Dal pontile è possibile scendere alla spiaggia, accessibile solo con la bassa marea, ma che vale la pena vedere. È comunque disponibile, due volte al giorno, una navetta gratuita per recarsi alla spiaggia vicina di Kendwa, oppure con la bassa marea si può raggiungere a piedi la spiaggia del vilaggio di Nungwi. Avendo prenotato per una mezza pensione, posso dire che la colazione e la cena sono state eccezionali: tantissima varietà di cibi sempre freschi, servizio a buffet, e piatti sempre diversi ogni sera, con postazioni di live cooking per carne e pesce e verdura. È possibile anche usifruire di ben 3 bar, due vicini alla laguna e uno al termine del pontile che si allunga oltre la costa. I prezzi sono in dollari.
