The breakfast is delicious, the tomatoes and soybeans are great, and it can be eaten directly for dinner. The price is not too good at all, 90 pounds includes three breakfasts

Had a 50th Golden Wedding celebration meal for 27 people. The team couldn't do enough for us from planning the event through to the vent itself. The meal was perfect and great value for money. Highly recommend, thanks to all the staff for making it a memorable evening.

We stayed at the Victoria for a family wedding. The staff were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was really tasty. There was a choice of cereals and hot food was freshly cooked to order. We also arranged to have a high tea for 17 of us. The lovely lady on reception was so helpful when arranging and nothing was too much trouble. The service was superb and the food excellent. I highly recommend.

Stayed for one night on B&B basis. Lovely old hotel. Rooms nice and clean. Staff friendly and attentive. Room was clean and so was my other families who were in a bigger room. Only downside was the heating in both rooms which were cold and couldn't be turned up as radiators needed bled in both rooms. Also no lift in hotel which may be a problem to some people.

Very friendly and welcoming manner from all staff. I had a double room which wasn't the largest I've stayed in but it was all I needed. Lovely bathroom with a shower and no bath which was perfect for me. Great food served in a very nice dining room or the bar for dinner, whichever you choose. Excellent breakfast in the dining room. 10 minute walk from the station which is great for a non driver like me. On bus route too.

Nice friendly welcome,eventually, first appearance looks nice. Room,very clean ,but very small,and absolutely freezing,and never got any warmer all night. Comfy bed ,with an excellent night's sleep. In the morning the water took an age to get WARM,,and as for the pressure in the shower,we'll that was a joke. Then breakfast, lovely lady taking the orders and a breakfast, nice and freshly made . Very nice,cold visit

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Victoria hotel. We found it to be very welcoming and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful . Our bedroom was clean quiet and huge , we even had a sofa . The food was good, honest and filling. The Breakfast menu had an extensive selection of items to combine although fresh tomatoes rather than tinned would be preferred. Importantly, all meals were served on hot plates.

The room was great with comfortable bed, the bathroom was clean with a good pressure in the shower, the staff were great and I would stay again. The food needs to improve, I think chef micro may have had a hand in it. The offering on the menu is good.
