This hotel is clean and comfortable.
There are no reception staff so its not welcoming. Its under staffed and staff need more training on how to welcome people especially at breakfast. The staff they do have are very nice.

Lovely room & ensuite bathroom. I enjoyed my evening meal and breakfast- food was very good. Staff were friendly and pleasant and very very helpful. On the day i was leaving, i was able to return and shower after parkrun , even though this was after check out time.I really appreciated this as meant i was clean fir my last day of tiuring in orkney. Id be very pleased to return.

The location can’t be beat! Our window was right above the entrance to the pub and did get a bit noisy. The bathroom was good and the bed was okay.

Food and service in the pub was excellent. Breakfast was quite good, though maybe a little slow. The rooms are dated, but comfortable and clean.

So you aren’t going to find any 5 star hotels in the Orkney Islands, but this hotel was cozy and clean with a great staff, good location in the heart of Kirkwall. They served a nice freshly ordered breakfast with a nice selection. The restaurant offered good food and drink with excellent service. We would definitely come again.

This is a small hotel but very cozy and comfortable. Nice room and a great location. Very clean and the staff are friendly and accessible. Nice breakfast with cooked to order options. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Orkney.

Good location for exploring Orkney. Small rooms but clean and tidy. Breakfast was good, all freshly cooked to order. Ate in the restaurant for one evening meal. Good selection of dishes available and not too pricey. Would return if visiting Orkney again
