I like this place because of the price and the location, which is right on the beach. There are 2 types of rooms to choose from: bungalows and villas. I chose the bungalow because it has a high foundation and a view of the beach and the sea. The manager is friendly and attentive to customers. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the village for lunch. You can book a private boat to drop you off in front of the hotel. Breakfast is available to order from the menu and you get extra. I like this atmosphere. From morning to evening, you can hear birds singing. There are hornbills to see. In nature, when the water recedes, you can walk along the long beach and watch the small crabs running around. In the evening, you can see many hermit crabs coming out to find a mate. This place also accepts small wedding ceremonies on the beach. Next year, I will come again.

Our experience with Pawapi has been a disaster. We booked a vacation through Agoda (we have the confirmation) and were directed to your official email and website. When we were asked to make a bank transfer (number written on the official website), we did so because we could see it was your official web address where the bank account number was listed. Once we realized we had been scammed, we contacted you, and you said you had been hacked!!! (We have screenshots). After that, we heard nothing from you (we have taken screenshots of this). On your website we can now see that you know you have been hacked (written on your frontpage), but you have decided not to help us. This is very suspicious, and we have lost all our money. We have reported the scam. You can still refund our money. We Will not accept this. Julie and Mads

We cancelled our booking here and despite 4 messages to hotel and a phone call from booking agent - where they claimed they had forgotten to process refund I have still not received a refund - it’s been 5 weeks ! It does deter me from booking alternative dates that had been my intention. Beware !

We stayed at Pawapi Resort for 2 nights only after unfortunately making a bit of a mistake with the original accommodation we booked - which wasn't great at all! We had a sea view villa, our villa was one of the last ones in the row at the back but it was still really nice. The villa itself is HUGE. Don't expect it to be super modern, they are slightly dated inside but this is still a relatively underdeveloped island compared to others in Thailand, so considering this we were really impressed. It was extremely clean, comfortable and everything worked perfectly - the aircon was amazing (it was almost too cold at times!) and the shower was great. The infinity pool is stunning, really well maintained, quiet with there always being sun loungers and parasols available. The view over the beach is a real highlight. The beach it's on it beautiful, the sun rises are stunning. It's really quiet yet only a 5 min walk to the beach restaurants and bars so really conveniently located. It is on the expensive side in comparison to other accommodation you can get on the island, but my advice would be to be pay that little bit more if you want something on the nicer side.

Cancelled our reservation on the day of our arrival for no truthful reason apart from they’d overbooked we spent all day from 11-6 trying to find a hotel they offered us a very small dirty massage room at an alternative hotel we declined ! We eventually found a hotel for 1 night and intend to return today to the Pawapi as they’ve promised they’ll have a room for us today .. let’s see ?

Never again. The pictures in the advert do not reflect the current quality. When you book such an expensive resort you have expectations, cleanliness and a clean bathroom are part of that. The towels have yellow stains, one pillowcase even had hair stuck to a yellow stain. Cold water for 5 nights until something was finally repaired, but very little water came out of the dirty tap and the temperature fluctuated from super hot to cold. For the price they charge, it's a letdown. We were annoyed and very disappointed with our stay there.

I would say don't miss out here, the Pawapi Beach resort is under new management and the staff cannot be more helpful. We came here for my wife's birthday and had so many great experiences arranged for her. Take an early trip to Emerald Cave, a private speedboat with guide to lead you as you swim through the 80 meter cavern to the beach. As a treat, arrange for a boat to a sunset point with a bottle of Brut and strawberries. For something really special, how about private beach dining, a sea food basket of fresh fish, tiger prawns, calamari and crab served with rice and their special Thai sauces. We have had the most wonderful time here at Pawapi Beach resort. What will you do here ?

A waste of money.. The resort is in very poor condition. Maintenance is not done. Breakfast is very limited. Lots of stray dogs pooping everywhere. There are even dogs on the stairs to your bungalow. All in all, a resort that is better avoided. Waste of your money.

The restaurant food is terrible and the breakfast lousy. Despite the efforts of the new manager Ms Pitt, the value for money is absolutely not there. During my many complaints to the management, I was told that they were in the process of raising the standard of the hotel to become a 5 star but I can tell you that there is work. To apologize for the bad stay, he told us that he would send a voucher so that we could come back and see. I’m still waiting for their voucher… I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS RESORT!
