At first, I booked a suite with a terrace. I thought it was traditional Thai style, but it was actually a modern large-opening design separated by sliding doors. The bedding was very good and comfortable. The toiletries were first-class.
However, the hotel's ordinary rooms and suites are in different buildings. It is far away from the check-in desk and breakfast area, and you have to rely on a battery car to pick you up.
The Ritz-Carlton may be the largest resort on Koh Samui.
Later, I upgraded to a villa, which is a Thai design. However, the facilities and supplies inside are all modern and first-class. The swimming pool, terrace, and sea view halfway up the mountain are unobstructed.
The restaurant is very good, with Thai food and other international food, many choices, and beautiful environment.
The service staff is very good, especially the front desk manager Ruben who fully considers the guests and is very helpful.

Excellent service from Alaa who had given us a resort tour! The thai restaurant is a must try with authentic Thai food and romantic ambience. Beauty and Pawi had been extraordinary in their service.
You also don't want to miss the fire show which is right next to the western dining at the beach side.

Отель очень старый и требует ремонта , в душевой огромный налет ржавчины. Персонал на стойке регистрации не приветлив и даже груб . Приехав после выезда в город обратно в отель на просьбу заказать багги до моего номера персонал среагировал лишь на 3 раз , упорно игнорируя мое присутствие . Набрала ванну в номере , ванну помыли только спустя два дня и то после моей просьбы . Ужасно грязные номера . Единственное приятное впечатление об этом отеле произвел завтрак, большой выбор блюд , вежливые официанты.

So we have read many bad review online about this resort but we trust the brand so we booked this resort. But, we really regret that we have booked this resort. This is indeed the worst resort we have stayed at worldwide. I really do not recommend anyone to book this resort if you want to enjoy your vacation and avoid any unpleasant experiences. The valet parking staff messed up our car electricity and we had to wait for the car rental to jump start the car and we wasted 1 hour and missed the best sunset timing when we get to the lamai viewpoint. And the car broke down again at the viewpoint and we had no choice but to return the car. There is a lizard poop on the wall and I pointed to the housekeeper but she just said sorry and didn’t even clean that up until we checkout. Another housekeeper threw away the alcohol we put at the room. The overall experience was very unpleasant and I will never choose ritz Carlton for my vacation again. So you get to trust the reviews online but not solely the brand.
