JJulien HengThis hotel is massive, felt like i was living in a modern royal palace. I did get lost trying to find my ways. The staff was extremely courteous. I could see that excellent customer service is their top priority. The hotel room is very spacious and clean. Breakfast was also very delicious and they had too many selections to choose from. I had a great time staying at this hotel. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserThe tatvam is a lovely hotel its each floor has 3 bedrooms with a shared living room/dining room area; each bedroom has its own bathroom. The rooms are beautifully appointed, clean and inviting. If u have enough person in our group to take up all 3 bedrooms on a floor and having the living room space to hang out in was a huge plus. Meal and breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly and responsive. I found on google map it take to me first in another lane but i got it. I highly recommend the tatvam and hope to stay there again should i return to kolkata.
SShree Vardhan MundhraCheck in was smooth and quick. I was escorted to my room. The room was well appointed, clean and house keeping did a good job. The hotel took care of an issue with slightly faulty bathroom faucets as well. Overall, a nice stay.
PPANCHALMy stay at DNG The Grand Hotel in Kanpur was nothing short of exceptional. Whether you’re in the city for business or leisure, this hotel offers the perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and top-tier hospitality that truly makes you feel at home — but with luxury.
From the moment I arrived, the check-in process was smooth and welcoming. The staff was incredibly polite, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. They were quick to respond to any request and always greeted with a warm smile, which made the experience even more pleasant.
The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed. The decor was modern yet classy, with thoughtful touches that added a sense of sophistication. The bed was incredibly
GGuest UserThe overall experience was good. There were some issues with housekeeping which was annoying.
Service and staff were very good. Mr Raj received us very well late at night.
Service at the restaurant was exceptional.
SSuzanna EadsI stayed here for one night first time in Kolkata from Nepal heading to the Andaman Islands. I was greeted with lots of smiles, very friendly accommodating staff who helped me with everything I needed. I ate and drank at the bar. Everything was delicious. The room was very comfortable stocked with everything you need. Great view of their beautiful pool. It was closed for maintenance so I couldn’t try it. They made me feel like family. I highly recommend this hotel when you want to stay close to the airport in Kolkata. Thank you for everything!
GGuest UserWe booked a night here at the Holiday Inn Kolkata hotel. I have stayed in Holiday Inn chennai as well. However, the standards of cleanliness and amenities and the room, the bathroom fittings and floor were low and some areas felt unsanitized as well. The floor in the room also lacked cleanliness.
They also had a torn bedsheet on our bed which I asked them to remove and they very quickly and diligently changed it. However, I was disappointed since the finishing checks if the room is in good condition for the next guest needs improvement.
The walls lacked lustre. And we paid approximately 62 EUR. Maybe they need to check the standards of other Holiday Inns like in Chennai.
Food that we ordered was nice. 10/10 on that.
But somehow the brand that Holiday Inn is and that we experienced in Kolkata was a huge mismatch.
I hope they look into all this.
TTanjilHonestly speaking, the hotel was great. The location was a bit far from the airport, BUT it is located at one of the cleanest places in Kolkata, making it a huge plus. Now for the details:
Room: 5/5. The decoration, the ambiance, the wall art.
Lobby and other places: 5/5. Absolutely loved the design and hotel architecture.
Bathroom: 3.5/5. Honestly, it is a basic bathroom, but I expected more from a 5 star hotel, even on the cheaper rooms. There was no bathtub, which I feel is fairly common everywhere I’ve stayed in.
ONE PROBLEM: A major issue I have faced was after turning on the water. It had a smell, which I am guessing is from the river beside it. I feel like the Hotel should add a water filter to avoid this problem, because the smell doesn’t go away until the water is turned on for at least 5-10minutes. If I wasn’t South Asian, I probably couldn’t have taken the smell as easily as I did. I would put this in High Priority to fix for attracting many more customers.
Bar and Food: 4/5. Good collection, great taste but very expensive.
Lastly, a shoutout to Al Jabbar and Al Sahid from the Housecleaning service, they were extremely polite, fast, very thorough with their cleaning and very well mannered. Absolutely a delight to talk to and learn about the local areas.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Very rare to find such good hotels, with some minor flaws.
