Palau Central Hotel Reviews

We shifted to the hotel from another one in the early morning before we went for sea activity. We saved our bags in the front desk. Hotel staffs were very friendly and gave us towels for sea activity. After came back to the hotel, we found our room was arranged at the third floor with rock island view, which was great and worthy of the money. The room was spacious and very clean. There was even an elevator for going up to the floors. Though the breakfast was somewhat simple, but it was enough to us. We loved the warm memories at the hotel.

This may be the nicest small hotel I have ever stayed at in my 45 years of traveling. The staff are great, so friendly, so kind & they WANT to take of everything you may need! I will stay here again on my next trip. I can say "I FULLY recommend this hotel"!

The breakfast in the hotel is so delicious that it makes me cry

The location is very good, in the center of Palau. It is very close to restaurants, and there is a large supermarket not far from the hotel, which is said to be the largest supermarket in Palau. Although the hotel is not big, it is very clean and the staff are very proactive. I forgot a piece of clothing when I checked out and even sent it to my next hotel.

I could not have asked for a better stay in Palau than the one I experienced at Palau Central. The property is beautiful and very conveniently located, staff extremely attentive, beds some of the most comfortable I’ve stayed in, and the views from their Rock Island view rooms are unparalleled. Having Canoe House right in the hotel was a tremendous asset as well, as it’s one of the most fun bars in Palau and whenever you’ve finished a night out or want delicious room service you have that at your disposal. Staff will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need during your stay. The pool and outside area with waterfall are a perfect place to relax after or between dive days…I simply cannot say enough about this wonderful accommodation in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. I can’t wait for my next visit! Mesulang!

This hotel is well located and offers a very satisfactory level of service. The highlight is it reception staff who areincredibly efficient and delightful – most of them are from the Philippines – they knew what I was doing before I did. Plus other staff were fantastic as well. My room was satisfactory for the cost – $US200 a night. The downside was a somewhat musty smell and a very loud hall air-conditioning unit placed just outside my door plus a TV remote that didn’t work unless you were literally right in front of the TV. But apart from that I was happy with the room. The included breakfast was good I thought. The hotel was able to organise a rental car for me which was helpful.

Came here whilst working with the hospital. Staff are extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast is simple but the staff are very accommodating when it comes to egg requests! They were kind enough to let me work in the dining area when I got tired of being in my room. Coffee is continuous!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Palau Central Hotel, a great base for a stay in Palau. It is located on the main road right in the heart of downtown, close to numerous shops, supermarkets, and restaurants. The onsite resto, The Canoe House, is an excellent place for a meal or drink. All the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They assisted us in organizing snorkeling tours and rental cars and provided other bits of useful information about the local area. Our room was excellent, one of the few facing south out to the Rock Islands, so we had the most excellent views from our spacious balcony. The room was very big, well-lit, and airy and spotlessly clean. Everything as modern and tastefully furnished with a huge king-size bed. The room had all the mod cons including great AC, satellite TV, strong Wifi connection, and a good little mini-fridge. The hotel buffet breakfast was quite good with a good variety of hot and cold options. However we were disappointed with the lack of fresh tropical fruit – just imported apples and oranges available for some reason. Seems to be a big problem in getting fresh tropical fruits across Micronesia!! We made use of the mini-gym on the 2nd floor. It was indeed mini, only enough room for 2, maybe 3 people. There was a treadmill and a rowing machine, as well as a few dumbbells and a multi-gym. All equipment was of the lowest quality, but luckily it was relatively new so still in working order. Not very impressive but better than nothing! We also had the fortuitous experience of being the first people to use the hotel rental mountain bikes. We gave them a really good run around the streets of Koror. They were adequate, but again, very low quality, so may not last long if not well looked after. Overall we had an amazing stay here and would highly recommend it to all travelers looking for a good, comfortable base in Koror.

Great hotel, will be back for more! Eclectic style, great onsite Restaurant/Bar (the Canoe Bar) most nights with live entertainment - even weekly karaoke! Clean and well designed rooms, plus your own capsule coffee maker! THE BEST mattresses - slept like a log.

Palau Central is the BEST! The pool is refreshing and relaxing. The views from the pool deck or the Rock Island view rooms are more than great. Rooms are very comfortable and the beds are heavenly. In suite Keurig's and refrigerators were a big plus. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The included full breakfast was delicious. After a full day of diving or sightseeing the Canoe House Pub Restaurant is a fun evening spot. Palau Central also has free transportation to other sights or restaurants, plus we could also rent a car directly from the hotel. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Palau. Truly a 5 star experience. Can't wait to return!!

When you enter the hotel,you can smell how fresh it was.The lady in the frontdesk is so warm and can communicate very well.Me and my husband has a different accent and barely speak English but the frontdesk name Rona is generous to explain everything to us.She provides every answer to our question making it easy to go around the island.The drivers are very kind and helpful.Room is very clean and the lady name Carmen is very nice making our bed comfortable. Breakfast is simple yet you will know it is prepare like you are at home. The staff are so warm and maybe the reason my husband said it's different from other hotel. Their giftshop is amazing.Overall, our stay is memorable and worth every money we pay.

Great location with The Canoe House Bar & Grill just downstairs! Really nice local art gallery next door! Clean, comfortable beds! It’s not luxurious but staff was welcoming. We had just gotten off a liveaboard and wanted a place to rest before our flight and to be able to wander Koror!
