I booked a 2-bedroom, 1-living room apartment with a swimming pool on the rooftop. You can cook for yourself. The location is convenient, but you need a car to travel. It's the first choice for family travel.

The property is in very bad condition. Photos are old, reality is very different. We made a reservation and when arrived we realized that apartments need significant maintenance and pictures were misleading. We discussed it with property manager and they offered us money refund so we moved to another hotel. But after one month we are still waiting for refund (about 600 dollars) and property manager continues to ignore our messages. I read (unfortunately after this happened) that this is quite common practice for this hotel to promise money refund and not to do it. Krabi area is amazing, but I would recommend to avoid staying in this particular property.

This place operates without a hotel license or any other license. It is a condominium, not a hotel. Please ask the company that enlisted the hotel/resort room rental to provide you with the hotel license they are operating under.

This accommodation was perfect for us. We stayed in the 2br ocean suite with pool for a family stay. Our view and the private pool were amazing and worth every cent and the room generally clean enough - we'd probably stay again. The comments around maintenance are generally accurate. The grounds were well kept. The building, like all Thai buildings (even the 6 star Phulay Bay) show pain wear on the outside. To be clear, this is not a hotel, rather a service apartment where apartments and their upkeep are not something the accommodation manager can fix easily. We had some broken furniture, decaying wood, popped floor tiles: nothing to bad. What they could improve is cleaner sheets: ours were simply filthy. The outdoor wooden structure above the pool was severely rotten and ready to fall anytime. Positives are the staff are very friendly and nice. Room service was regular and on time. I recommend staying here, with a catch. If you're tolerant to not everything being perfect, you'll love the size, views, and sunsets int he pool. If you're a fussy hotel-only traveller, perhaps better to avoid.

Sawadee Krabi travelers. We are one of the first guests at the Pelican, staying here currently for 3 weeks. The resort has JUST reopened after 3 very long years with virtually no guests. The last 2 reviews were bad, but the resort had not yet started post COVID renovations. Now, however, the Pelican deserves your booking and 4 stars for these reasons: 1) Friendly, helpful staff, responsive to personal requests and any maintenance concerns; 2) Beach access, directly across the street; 3) Easy walks to great, inexpensive, beachfront restaurants, bars, massages and 7-11; 4) The most spacious and modern a/c rooms you will ever find in Thailand for the money; 5) fabulous pool; 6) Relaxed authentic Thai vibe outside the craziness of Ao Nang, which is a 20 minute drive; 7) great resort lay-out; 8) The best value for the money you will find in Krabi. The post-Covid reality in Thailand is that ALL resorts have suffered substantial neglect from being unoccupied for 3 years. SO, since the prior two bad reviewers, this resort is actively remodeling, updating, cleaning, repairing, etc. with virtually no intrusion to the guests, no loud noise, etc. And bending over backwards to ensure we are happy. If you are picky about everything, you will be disappointed here. Please don’t book with grand expectations only to leave a bad review that everything is not yet perfect. The staff is working really hard. Conversely, if you don’t want to spend 5 star dollars and want huge space, amenities, great staff and modern conveniences on a shoestring budget - the Pelican is your place. We are loving it here. P.S if you stay in Khlong Muang beach area, you need transportation, but there is plenty around.

The Pelican Resort was recommended to us by a travel agency. While the 2-bedroom, 2-bath suite was clean, large and even had its own individual pool, and located across the street from the beach, it was not what we were looking to reserve. It is located far from Ao Nang Beach (with lots of shopping, restaurants, bars, activities, etc.), requiring us to spend 500 Baht taxi rides to and from. Fortunately, there were 2 great restaurants located across the street from the hotel and a Seven-11 is about a block away. While the room was clean, roomy with a kitchenette, we were provided very few amenities, i.e. only 2 bath towels, a Chicklet-size soap, watery shampoo and small soap gel. We did find the hair dryer in a bedroom drawer when we were checking out. No daily cleaning was provided. The furnishings were okay for us, but cheap; even the drawers on our nightstands would not stay shut. The front desk staff was helpful and nice, but there were times they were not there when we needed something—like toilet paper. I note here we initially booked a king-side bedroom (which our travel agency said was all that was available), and when we arrived in the evening, we were told the room was not ready (giving us the impression it was being cleaned), but we could pay substantially more for the 2-bedroom suite. When we declined the suite, we were asked to wait, and ultimately, were given the suite for the original price we paid, i.e. approximately $123 USD for 2 nights (not complaining about price!).. We were given the impression by our travel agent the hotel was full, but we discovered it was practically empty and many of the rooms were in the process of renovation. The grounds and pools were impressive and beautiful. We rate our experience a “3” as we are active and not accustomed to simply stay in our hotel room which has no convenient access to shopping, some nightlife, bars, etc.. However, if the guest is there for serenity, enjoy the grounds and pool experience with two great restaurant options within walking distance, he/she probably would rate this hotel a 4 or 5.

Awful. Badly cleaned appartment (we had the one with pool on the rooftop). Everywhere dark hairs on the floor, towels smelled and building looked old and has had no maintenance. Apaprtment wasnt cleaned in three days! No sunbeds. No staff at reception. Handed the key once and that was it. Waste of time booking. Better options around.

Clearly the resort when it opened would have been special however, the buildings and apartments are badly in need of refurbishment. A building was being repainted whilst we were there but not to a good standard. The balcony to our apartment on the 4th floor with a plunge pool had paint splashes all over it because the painters had not covered up properly. Only 10 apartments were occupied so to put it mildly it was eerily quiet. The plastic sun-beds around the pool had holes in them and management should address this quickly. Don’t get me wrong we enjoyed our time here, there are lots of restaurants open within 5 minutes walk and I would highly recommend the ‘Fairy Thai Restaurant’ (Past 7/11 supermarket, last restaurant on the right) fantastic prices and excellent quality food.

I booked the hotel through check24. Payment was agreed on site at the hotel. The credit card was only to be deposited as a security deposit. Immediately after booking, two amounts totaling around €1000 were debited. I cancelled the hotel a short time later within the agreed free period. I still haven't received the money back (around 4 weeks after cancellation). Check24 is not taking any further action and the hotel is not responding to my request to transfer the money back. BEWARE to all bookings. This is a criminal, dubious and illegal business practice.

I do not recommend!!! We lived in these apartments for more than a month, I’ll start with a lot of impressions with good ones: (large room! We had 80 m2 with one bedroom and it’s cool and it’s all good, then one rubbish and tin)) This place is positioned for a long stay in including, but the equipment of the rooms is extremely poor, the kitchen is just tears, I won’t list what’s missing) but there’s not even a scoop with a whisk :( My favorite topic here was cleaning the rooms, it’s imperishable, hit and other circus)) given the dust on the doors even before covid, you can imagine this imitation of cleaning, complete sadness (they had a lot of fun when they didn’t change the bed and towels on the day of cleaning, and then the clown at the reception organized it for three days🤣🤣🤣 on the territory everything is stained with paint, not a single cafe works, really maybe this is for the better, according to past reviews, their food is a special trash)) Well, the main impression is the departure and return of the deposit !!! What would you understand) the day before I came up and reminded of my departure, I received assurances that the deposit would be returned on time and in cash as we left it ... when we arrived half an hour before the check out, it turned out that there was no deposit) they began to talk about the transfer to the card and talk other nonsense, invent different things in short, when it became clear that they were pure swindlers, I turned to a friend with a local card to accept our money, so even despite this they fooled us for two hours before returning the money. It’s good that we didn’t go to the airport, but simply changed the location and, one might say, were not limited in time. For those who decide to stay here longer than booking in booking, remember that there is VERY WEAK MANAGEMENT, CLEANING IS ONE NAME, WILL TRY TO DECEIVE YOU WITH THE REFUND OF THE DEPOSIT! I will definitely send letters to booking sites so that these scammers are removed from there.

One month rental for three people Beautiful room with swimming pool on balcony. - Incompetent staff, unpleasant manager. Not attentive / not responsive. - No cleaning (my boyfriend complained once and they told him to go wash his sheets at the laundromat across the street even though they were supposed to do it once a week) - No restaurants (no small service lunch) - Be careful, scam, I only got the deposit back two months after depositing it (and only in cash because they don't make any transfers to accounts other than Thai accounts) Fortunately I live in Thailand. - We were kicked out of the room a day early even though it was not re-let behind. So when we asked to rent an extra night the manager gave us a price 4x more expensive than booking (we had to book on the site without telling the manager in order to be able to stay) In short, I don't recommend it at all. I work in a hotel in Thailand, I know how hard it is to get back on track after covid but it’s a wasted effort.
