After arriving with the train I was looking for a night im the neighbourhood of the Kunming South Railway Station. For a foreigner the entrance of the hotel is hard to find. The room itself and the bedding are very clean but the shower and toilet setup is a bit weird (You can sit on the toilet and shower at the same time). The price was very good so can not complain too much

Good location for those who need to catch a train from South Station. Free transfer from and to station. Comfortable room. Some communication problem, we had some difficulty in receiving instructions for the pickup, probably there was a change of shift at some point and we stopped receiving messages in english, we managed with the translation app but still, a bit stressful. The transfer to the station isn't flexible, they only have a few minibuses going, so you don't get to pick the exact time. And you have to be sharp on time, or you risk being left behind.

It is recommended to write down in words which hotel the car is from, where to wait, and the correct phone number, because the driver could not verify my number, and another guest could not get on the bus without giving the last four digits. Nice touch that you receive a bag of snacks on arrival and, if you're leaving early in the morning as I was, a little bag of fruit and pastries. I don't speak Chinese, and the staff don't speak English, so it's hard work doing everything via translate apps. It says it has a restaurant, but it actually only provides breakfast. There are lots of little restaurants and convenience stores beside the hotel.
