Such a lovely place to stay in Kunming. The staff speak English, and the location is perfect, everything is easily accessible, from the lake to Kunming Old Street, Nanping Pedestrian Street, and even a local fresh market nearby. What I really loved is that it’s a mix of both Chinese and international travelers. If you’re traveling solo, you’ll probably make friends here in no time. I was genuinely surprised to see people of all age groups just hanging out and having a great time together. One small thing to note, there’s no elevator. So if you’re carrying heavy luggage, getting to the top floor can be a bit of a task. Smoking in allowed in the common area, a warning is that you will be passive smoking. My favorite part has to be their cafe and restaurant. After a long day, it was so comforting to not worry about finding food outside. They’re open until 11 pm, and the food is genuinely good. Morning coffee was sorted too. I already miss my favorite Oreo drink, both mocha and chocolate milk, please share the recipe😭. We only stayed here on our arrival and departure days, but ended up eating at their cozy restaurant most of the time. They also have some nice vegetarian options. If I ever come back, I would definitely stay here again. I absolutely loved the place, the vibe, and the people. I was also really curious about the story behind the owner after reading the little note in the menu, but couldn’t find more about it. Wishing you good health and happiness.🌷

Five-star review! The subway station is right outside the door. To the left, there's a street corner where they sell fresh flowers and fruits at night. Just one street back is the local farmer's market. The rice noodles for breakfast were delicious, and the tea in the room was excellent. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out!

I stumbled upon RAW HOTEL during my trip to Kunming, and I absolutely loved its stylish industrial-vintage vibe. The old brick walls paired with large glass panels, and abundant greenery create an amazing atmosphere in the public areas. The lobby and lounge are meticulously designed, with metal and wood accents complementing the dark green walls, showcasing incredible attention to detail. Sitting by the floor-to-ceiling windows, looking out at the lush courtyard, I felt completely relaxed. Plus, there's an adorable tabby cat at the hotel! The breakfast was a pleasant surprise too. They offer thoughtful choices, from Western-style omelet, toast, and sausage sets to hot wontons and rice noodles, along with side dishes and fresh fruit. It was delicious, well-balanced, and a truly satisfying start to the day. The hotel itself is quiet and clean, and the front desk staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The public spaces are well-maintained, and the overall quality of the amenities is excellent. It's a perfect spot whether you're looking for a comfortable place to rest after a day out or just want to relax in a pleasant environment.

Staying at the Hanting Hotel in Kunming was much better than I expected. The room was clean and refreshing, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, so I got a great rest after a long day of traveling. The front desk staff were polite and checked me in efficiently. The hotel's location is convenient for getting around, and overall, it offers good value for money. Friends visiting Kunming should definitely consider it; I'll stay here again next time I'm in town.

This is an unbeatable choice for traveling with friends, absolutely fantastic! As soon as we walked in, the lobby was spacious and bright. While we were sitting there, the front desk even offered us warm black tea. So thoughtful! The front desk ladies were always smiling and helpful. We asked them about fun places nearby, and they thoughtfully told us where to go. If you arrive early, you can even park for free, which is very convenient. It’s also very close to the bus stop, just a five-minute walk, so the location is great. It's really close to the Zhuanxin Farmers Market, less than a ten-minute walk. The room was clean and bright, and the bedding was super comfortable – perfect for a good night's sleep after a day of exploring. The sink and toilet were also very clean. The front desk staff had excellent service, and so did the housekeeping staff; whatever we needed, they could resolve it. The breakfast was quite rich, with Yunnan specialty sauced pork rice noodles – the sauced pork was delicious! They had both Chinese and Western options. Plus, there's free laundry service, which was incredibly convenient during our two-day stay; they even have a dryer and an iron. We will definitely come back here again when traveling with friends!

I dont think you can get a better deal for the price. Its clean, the bathroom is amazing, there are international power sockets and 3 washing machines. The only downside is that although the hotel is kind of in the centre, theres not much going on in the close proximity.

Traveling with seniors and kids, the environment was quite good. Especially the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. I'm particular about pillows when I sleep, but on the first night, I slept soundly until morning. I thought the second night would be just as good. However, on the second night, the TV in my room kept turning on by itself, and the curtains would open a crack. At 6:03 AM, I suddenly felt a bright light (I'm very sensitive to light), and then I vaguely heard the TV. After searching for a while, I realized the sound was coming from our room's TV, even though it was off (black screen, no picture). But… how could a turned-off TV suddenly make noise? I didn't dare to think too much about it. Instinctively, I used the remote to turn the TV on, then off again. A few minutes later, the sound came from the TV again 😓. At a little past 7 AM, when the sound came out of the TV for the 5th time, I wanted to unplug it, but the plug seemed to be hidden behind the TV. Finally, I just turned the TV on, lowered the volume to the minimum, and let it stay on if it wanted to… When I checked out, I reported it to the front desk. They said I should have told them immediately, and they would have arranged a room change. But I had my child with me (who was sleeping soundly), and it was already morning (we were checking out that day), so I didn't want to go through the hassle. Later, a staff member actively contacted me to offer compensation, but I politely declined. The hotel environment is good, and breakfast was decent. Thankfully, it wasn't the middle of the night, otherwise, it would have been truly terrifying.

The room facilities were excellent, and the front desk service was superb from check-in to check-out – everyone was very helpful. The breakfast in the restaurant was delicious, and the lobby had a great atmosphere. It's also very close to Daguan Park and the Zhuanxin Farmers Market. I had a very satisfying stay. The front desk was also well-equipped with almost everything. Since there was no phone in the room, I joined a concierge group, and whatever I needed, I could ask for it there, and items were delivered promptly. I'll definitely come again.

My stay was exceptional. The service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, and the complimentary tea, snacks, and fruits were a really nice touch. The restaurant's ambiance is beautiful, making it a perfect spot for afternoon tea. A special shout-out to the pineapple cake served during afternoon tea – it was absolutely delicious! The breakfast setup is also very well thought out, with two different time slots that perfectly suit the habits of younger travelers. I was also very impressed with the in-room speaker, the makeup mirror, and the individually sealed small towels. I will definitely be back to stay here on my next visit to Kunming.
