This was my first stay at 18 Degrees Smart Hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised. The room had a unique style from the moment I walked in; it wasn't the stiff, traditional business hotel vibe. The lighting was warm, and lying in bed with the curtains drawn, scrolling through my phone, really made me feel like I was relaxing at home. The bedding was more comfortable than I expected, and the pillows were just the right softness – I honestly didn't want to get up! Cleanliness was also impressive. The floors and surfaces were quite clean, and I checked the bathroom for hairs and found none. They paid attention to the details, which is acceptable even for someone like me who's a bit of a clean freak. The service was very thoughtful too. The front desk attendant explained everything patiently and even kindly pointed out that there's a subway and bus stop nearby. The transportation is indeed convenient, and there are plenty of dining options close by. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free, which is definitely a plus.

Staying on the 21st floor, I had a great view of Dianchi Lake from my window. The hotel is also not far from the subway station, and there are tons of fantastic restaurants nearby, which was really convenient. The Provincial Museum and Guandu Ancient Town are within walking distance. For Dounan Flower Market and Baofeng Wetland Park, it's just a couple of bus stops away. The hotel management seems very professional. The industrial-style design gives the room high ceilings, so the air conditioning takes a little longer to kick in. There are so, so, so many cabinets in the room – almost too many! The duvet wasn't very breathable, so I was too hot to sleep in the first half of the night, but then I'd often wake up cold in the latter half.

It was my first time in Yunnan. Because I wanted to be close to the Provincial Museum, I booked a family room at this hotel. I was amazed when I opened the door. The room was large, the environment was good, and the sleep was quite comfortable. I recommend it.
