Daitokan

Daitokan is right in front of the Yubatake, and there is a Seven-Eleven and other restaurants nearby. You can eat dinner at Uoden inside Daitokan from 5:00, so it was very convenient. There is a shuttle bus to the Kamenoi Hotel-affiliated Kusatsu resort that leaves every 10 to 15 minutes from 3:00, and there is a sauna, so I spent every day there. It was fun to visit three hot springs. I've stayed here four nights already, and I'm going back for another three nights.

Pleasant vacation experience. One stay and two meals package. Food is good. Standard Japanese style room, overall good. Just outside the hotel is Yuda, which is convenient for viewing scenic spots.

You can borrow yukata to wear. There are many colors to choose from. You can borrow clogs and handbags. There are foreign clothes in the closet. There is a play area. The breakfast is pretty good and there are many Gunma specialties. The air conditioning or heating is a bit noisy and the air volume is small. The toilet is a bit small.

Apart from the good location, there is nothing else. Yubata is right at the door. The hotel facilities are relatively shabby.

The location was excellent, right in front of the Yubatake, but the building was so old that it was a bit worrying. We went by car, but we had to take a bus from the parking lot, so if you left something in the car, it was a hassle to go and get it. It's better not to leave anything behind when you go from the car to the hotel. The hot spring had little of the sulfurous smell that is unique to Kusatsu, and was colorless and transparent. There was also an open-air bath. The food was a buffet, but there was nothing particularly special about it. I think it's more suitable for young people or families with small children. If you want to eat delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere, it seems better not to go for the buffet. The reception and staff were efficient and nice.
