Hotels Near Choujin Shrine Groves in Kyoto

The owner and wife were kind and smiley. It was the first guest house and the first dormitory, but the person in the room also communicated with the translation app and enjoyed it! The room was clean and very cozy! I also missed the game of the Nintendo (laughs) and I played it. I wanted to use it when I went to Arashiyama again. *ˊᵕˋ*

　The first impression of the hotel was clean and calm. The decoration such as the front desk, the room, the corridor is modest, and there is a elegant atmosphere that can feel attentive. The deluxe twin of the 2-way specification is recommended. Bedroom and living room? When you close the door, you can't hear much of the sound of TV and so on in the bedroom. The tired person can lie in the bed first. It is convenient for sightseeing. 15 〜 20 minutes walk to Hirozawa Ike pond and JR Saga Arashiyama Station. We parked a car at the hotel and visited Seiryo Ji Temple and Kano nenbutsu Ji Temple, Gion Ji Temple and Nison in temple on foot. Near Saga Arashiyama, the car cannot move due to traffic jam. Parking is also full. There is a rental cycle in the hotel. The staff is also helpful.

This hotel is located right near the intersection of Shijo Horikawa. I checked in at midnight, but the front desk was kind and I was able to respond without a disgusting face. The room was clean and the amenities were substantial, and there was a USB port for charging, which was very helpful. However, probably because it was a premise to use a large communal bath, there was only a shower booth in the room. It may be a negative for those who want to slowly soak in the bathtub in the room. Personally, I was happy with the large communal bath, so there was no problem at all. It was also good that the transportation was convenient. From the Shijo Horikawa bus stop, you can go not only to Kyoto Station, but also to famous tourist spots such as Kinkakuji, Kiyomizu-dera, Toji, Nijo Castle, Arashiyama, and you can go to Gion and downtown Kawaramachi without changing trains. You will need to change trains once, but you can also go to Nanzenji Temple and Ginkakuji Temple. If you walk a little, you will find Hankyu Omiya Station and Arashiden Shijo Omiya Station, and it is very accessible for sightseeing or business. There is a Family Mart just south of the hotel, and there are 7-Eleven ahead, so you don't have to worry about a little shopping. The accommodation fee was reasonable and it is a recommended hotel.

The water in the bathroom is very weak and bathing takes a long time, which is very unpleasant. However, there is a bus stop near this hotel. It is very convenient to go to the JR station. The streets nearby are also quiet. Unfortunately, there are no restaurants. There is only a Royal Host Western restaurant. The service is very good and the food is delicious.

Overall was okay, a bit far from Kyoto staion. But, hotel has shuttle bus every 20 mins and make it more convenient. Service and amenities were nice. The worst part was humidity of the room and cleanliness (quite low compared to Japanese standard), plus bedsheets were smelly.

The location was right beside Kyoto station and easily accessible. The room was spacious and with a smart TV?! Major win. There’s even a separate laundry room and dryer and sauna their customers can use. They also provided baggage storage when the room is not ready yet. Even after checking out, they allowed us to leave our baggage with them to go get a quick bite before heading to the airport. Great service and vibes. Will definitely book this hotel again for my next trip!

Minn Gion is a great hotel with reasonable prices. First of all, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We received a warm welcome upon check-in and were always prompt and courteous in responding to our requests afterwards. Their response was truly moving, and the whole hotel was wrapped in a warm atmosphere. Secondly, the room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The furniture was modern and comfortable, and the bed and tatami mats were very comfortable. The bathroom was also large and comfortably equipped. And the facilities in the hotel were great. I especially enjoyed the sauna and spa facilities. The large and clean sauna and spa was the perfect place to soothe our weary bodies. Additionally, the food was outstanding. Around the hotel is the most bustling ”Shijo Kawaramachi” area in Kyoto, and I was able to enjoy dishes using local ingredients every day. Overall, Minn Gion is a great hotel and offers a relaxing and comfortable stay. Great service from the staff, comfortable rooms, luxurious facilities and a great location made our stay very special. It is a wonderful hotel that you will definitely want to use on your next trip! Recommended for everyone! Furthermore, the price is reasonable, and the cost performance is outstanding.

This was by far the best accommodation we stayed in during our trip to Japan. I was a bit hesitant to book it as other reviews said it’s far away from everything, but it’s not. A short/cheap taxi from the train station (1000-1200 Yen) self-serve check in and self-serve luggage storage (which was a blessing!) We stayed in an apartment, spacious, modern, clean, separate bedroom, washer/dryer, bath and shower and full kitchen. I would live in this apartment if I could! There are staff in the reception area during certain times if you need help. The bus stop is right around the corner. Food options nearby.

I stayed once before the renewal, but at that time it was not a very beautiful room for compliments. I stayed for the first time after the renewal this time, but it was no longer a separate inn. The room was comfortable, the view of the Uji River and the open-air bath with the room were large and comfortable. The staff was also pleasant and I want to go again if I can afford time and money. However, all dinners during the 3 nights were steak kaiseki shops, but until the first 2 nights, the chef was very good, and the meat was soft and I was able to eat very comfortably. There was a preschool child who was originally prohibited from entering the store at the last 3 night dinner (except for rental), and it was not possible to slow at all in the gaga gaga and the ugly gakinko.
