The decoration of both the rooms and the hotel is modern and unlike other hotels, featuring a clean, white, minimalist style that feels elegant, comfortable, and easy on the eyes. The staff provide excellent service—when we arrived before check-in time and a room was available, they allowed us to check in right away. The room amenities are complete, including a Bluetooth speaker with built-in AI that can be connected for use.

Overall, I was quite satisfied.
- The location is quiet yet convenient, situated between several key spots. You can reach it by bus, train, and subway. There's also the Inaba Shrine nearby with cute cats.
- The service was very thoughtful, and breakfast was delicious. There were a few fixed sets to choose from, and I tried them all over my four-day stay – they all tasted pretty good.
- The room was okay; the design was standard, but the details were a bit lacking. Some dimensions were always just slightly off, which made the experience a bit awkward and didn't perfectly utilize the space. Storage was severely lacking, especially vertically. For example, they could have easily added more hooks in both the room and the bathroom, which would prevent things from being piled up and wasting space.
- The cleanliness was acceptable. The room was cleaned daily, but some hard-to-reach spots were inevitably missed.

Absolutely loved this hotel! 🥰 The location is fantastic, very quiet but not isolated. It's super close to Gojo and Shijo, about a 10-minute bike ride or walk. The hotel facilities are brand new, and the rooms, though small, are perfectly designed and efficient. ❤️

I’m from Thailand and have been familiar with ASAI for some time. When I discovered a location in Kyoto, the city that I wanted to revisit after 10 years, I didn’t hesitate to book my stay. I’m glad I made that choice. The service was exceptional, and some of the staff were even fluent in Thai. The amenities in my room were excellent and very useful. The room was spacious enough for a solo traveller, especially since I had a double room.
Breakfast was served as a set meal, where you could choose one option from the menu, but that was perfectly fine. The location is strategic, as it is near bus stops and train stations, allowing you to select your preferred mode of transportation. However, keep in mind that some guests may have a longer walk from the station, depending on where you disembark.
It's a shame I only spent 2 nights here because I was also staying with my friend at her place. Next time, I will definitely come back to stay here longer! 🙂
