My wife’s birthday trip at the Suiran was a dream come true. With successive Covid cancellations, it took us four years of planning, but it was worth the wait. With their traditional Japanese structures and landscaping, the Suiran was our oasis of calm during Kyoto’s busiest season (cherry blossoms). We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and the best breakfasts of our lives in their dining room, and blissful riverside happy hours in their cafe. Our comfortable room had all the amenities, and a soothing minimalist aesthetic. The Suiran staff is spectacular: thoughtful, gracious, attentive. Through our years of planning and days of enjoyment, we were guided by Suiran’s chief concierge, Hiromi Maruyama. Her kindness, patience, and expertise added greatly to the success of our time in Kyoto. Her suggestions and insights, and good spirits were a beacon shining our way. We are indebted to her for her efforts on our behalf.

It may not have been an ordinary environment due to the influence of corona, but I was able to stay very good with my family. Just a drive from Osaka. The parking lot is free for guests. It's not a tourist destination, but there is Lawson next to it and it is convenient. Stayed in a Japanese room for smoking, but there was an air cleaner in the room and there was no smell of cigarettes at all. It was a baby, but it was easy to use in a cleaned wide 〜 inner bath. Also, the adjacent super public bath can be used, and the hot spring is wet and hot spring quality. The temperature of the hot water was not too hot, and I enjoyed the open-air bath. Amenities are available in the room, including cleaning, face washing, cosmetic water, emulsion, shaving lotion, hair tonic, so you can go hanging by hand. Meals are served at the restaurant. I stayed with meals, but it was delicious with a lot of volume. The restaurant was rich in menu and seemed to be delicious, so dinner may be good to order directly at the restaurant. Breakfast was a buffet, but rice and miso soup were brought individually, and many kinds of side dishes were divided into small bowls, and there was no common use of tong, so I was able to rest assured.

If you tell the parking lot in advance, you will guide you to the moon pole parking lot a little on foot. The receptionist was very good and I was happy to talk carefully. Originally, because of the condominium, the stairs and corridors were renovated in the old ones and were very beautiful and fashionable. I was saved by drinking free water and coffee in PET bottles. The only thing I thought was the accumulation of dust in the ventilation filter in the dressing room. It was very dirty. I think it has not been cleaned up so far. The other parts were very beautiful! I was able to spend comfortably. I rented a bicycle to Arashiyama, but it was very helpful because it was free within 2 hours! After that, I asked about the parking lot by chat at the time of the reservation, but I was unread and eventually called myself. I think the meaning of chat? I was able to make a reservation cheaply while I thought it was not used, and it was really good to be able to spend comfortably.

The owner and wife were kind and smiley. It was the first guest house and the first dormitory, but the person in the room also communicated with the translation app and enjoyed it! The room was clean and very cozy! I also missed the game of the Nintendo (laughs) and I played it. I wanted to use it when I went to Arashiyama again. *ˊᵕˋ*

The location is very good, convenient to travel, walking to various attractions, Hankyu and Sapporo are also nearby, JR is a little far away. Warm reminder: Dinner in Busan must be earlier, otherwise all the shops will be closed.
