Apartamentos Cordial Mogán Valle

This complex is huge and took 3 lifts to reach our room, we did use stairs most of the time though. The complex is clean and well maintained. We did not eat or drink in the complex we were self catering which we enjoyed to make our own breakfast and lunch sometimes. While the rooms are clean they definitely need upgrading appears the bathrooms have been but not the bedrooms or living areas.. big spacious rooms though. No AC in our room but ceiling fans which was fine at this time of year, but you can rent AC unit, along with just about everything else, iron, safe etc. I know you can’t compare apples and oranges and it would be more expensive but if coming back would go to the Mogan playa or back to radisson but it would definitely be ideal for families so I do see the attraction.

Family holiday for 7 nights late December to early January. The positives: Room was clean and spacious. Family of 5. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, nice private terrace and easy access to all resort amenities. Pools - nice, clean and well maintained. Pool attendant on duty at all pools. Location - very good. 15 min stroll to beach and Harbour. Lovely restaurants and cafe bars. The best ones need to be booked in advance. Everything is walkable around Mogan. Only 10 mins to Bus Terminus with excellent service to nearby resorts of Amadores and Puerto Rico. Approx 45 mins transfer from airport (75€ in taxi). Spa - excellent, attentive and friendly service. Natalia in particular. Recommended. Excellent, Friday morning market spanning the whole resort. The negatives: Reception staff very slow and need guest service training. Check in and out takes a long time and lacks efficiency. On two separate occasions I politely asked front desk to call a taxi for our family. Kept waiting for 20 minutes on each occasion without update or apology. Eventually gave up and made our own arrangements. Day prior to check out, sought to book a late check out. Not available. No problem. Was offered, and accepted, a private courtesy room with shower etc given our late flight. Was told to collect the key in the morning. Arrived in the morning to collect said key. No booking had been made ! Only after another 20 minute wait and a polite complaint to the manager did a key then materialise. No apology for the error. Disappointing and the hotel staff really need some training. We travel extensively as a family and, whilst customer service needs attention at Cordial Valle, the location, rooms and pools make this a reasonable, and affordable destination for a family. Puerto Mogan is a delightful resort. Picturesque, and well maintained. A nice place to spend a tranquil week after a busy year. Restaurants are pricey compared to the rest of the island but to be expected given that Mogan is a bit more upmarket and well maintained. Overall, I’d rate Cordial Valle apartments 3.5 stars. We’d perhaps look to book the neighbouring Cordial Valle Hotel next time which looked nicer or the Radisson Blu.

Stayed here for Christmas - honest review. Great 2 bed apartment with huge balcony overlooking the pool area. Room 238. Lovely spa, helpful staff and great location. Apartment cleaned every other day. We were self catering so ate out and had some great takeaways too.

The management of this organisation is rotton from top to bottom. Despite being assured that we could receive Englis channels on the TV, this facility broke down EVERY day for 10 days! I reported it to the management each day but they were SO complacent and kept re-assurting us it was fixed when it was not. On my return I wrote to the owner and outlined the events. He di NOT evemn bother to reply. It is clear that no senior member of staff cared in the slightest as to whether guesta were satidfied or not.

Unfortunately I didn't do my homework properly & neither Puerto de Mogan or Apartamentos Cordial Mogan Valle lived up to expectations. The resort is marketed as "Little Venice of the Canaries" which is something of an exaggeration & quite misleading! There is little to do other than slonk about on the beach, the old original village is quite cute but small & only takes a short time to explore, fortunately there's an excellent cheap bus service to visit the very rugged dramatic interior or other resorts. As for the actual apartments complex it is very family orientated & in our opinion not ideal for couples especially elderly. There is no separate restaurant or bar for adults, breakfast & dinner being served in what can best be described as a slightly upmarket canteen, extremely noisy especially at breakfast, second sitting at dinner being rather more tolerable, at all meals staff were dashing about & we felt rushed. The food itself was generally fine & plentiful. The complex layout is quite a labyrinth of stairs & lifts with extremely long dreary corridors, in general the circulation areas look a little tired & in need of a makeover. Our apartment was spacious, well furnished, clean & well serviced with a large sunlit balcony. The balconies & extensive public areas are surfaced in artificial grass which doesn't seem practical or hygienic, it rained heavily on our arrival & said areas took a couple of days to dry out. It has to be said that all the staff were very pleasant & hard working. In summarising we would reiterate that this complex is perfectly fine for families but not ideal for elderly couples.
