Hotels in Kuah Town, Langkawi

Came to checked-in here for our last minute short trip. The last time we not able to enjoy the pool due to under maintenance. So we take the chance to enjoy it this time round. But the pool was floated with many flies due to rainy season weather. So we extend our request at front dest and asked them to clean it. They do immediately. After waited almost 25 minutes, finally the pool is ready. We so glad able to enjoyed the pool this time. Thank you to the staff. But pool water quality not so good. Maybe management can please improve.

Room is spacious and clean. It’s a Muslim hotel hence prayer mat and Al-Quran are provided in the room. Azan is played through the PA system and can be heard from the room which is an added value. Staff are very welcoming. Breathtaking sea view from the balcony, very breezy air and nice ambiance. Will definitely book this hotel again.

We recently stayed here and found the rooms to be spacious and the breakfast decent. The location is also quite convenient. However, there are some downsides. Be prepared for extra charges on items like towels and blankets, which was a bit surprising. The cleanliness could definitely be better, and the hot water setup for the shower was complicated to use. There’s also no access to a swimming pool or gym, and the lobby can feel uncomfortable with no air conditioning. Overall, decent for a short stay, but a few things could be improved for comfort.

The hotel is located in a conveninet location, within walking distance to the Lagenda park and Eagle square-- which are a must see. I walked there twice in about 15- 20 minutes; it would cost about 10 RM by Grab taxi. Some rooms have a good view of the Maha tower and the bay --the tower lights up at night and is really beautiful. The bed is quite comfortable and the WIFI is very strong . The shower and hot water runs alright . The staff, Dan, was very helpful and helped me to complete my itinerary . I was travelling alone, but there were families there as well . It is budget friendly but the amenties exceeded my expectations. Of course it is not luxurious, but the rooms are clean. I enjoyed my stay.

Wonderful property , close to shopping malls , auto/motorcycle rental on the property and others nearby . A plethora of restaurants and street-food outlets at the front door . Numerous 4- and 5- star hotels nearby, with the accompanying higher prices . Baron Hotel is an excellent choice for budget- conscious travellers . The reception staff is superb , so are the maintenance personnel . Everyone makes the guest feel special , always treated with a warm , welcoming smile and attitude . They will accommodate all your needs and more . The rooms are clean , fully furnished and feature city or garden views . The WiFi is optimal and fast . The 24-hour front desk and an elevator make this property outstanding at the rates they offer . Again , the reception staff make this a superb choice . Recommend .

Tha place is clean and very nice. All amenities are good. The do have a childens room and yoga area aside from the gym. You dont need to call room service for iron cause they have a built-in iron and blower as well inside each room which I really love cause I really need to iron my clothes each time I go out. Though the place is quite far from the airport , attractions and beaches. Dont worry with the food and shops there are some shops nearby. The hotel offers car and motorbike for rent or city tour with all the attractions so its very convenient for the tourist. They also do daily cleaning. All in all its very nice 👍 will recommend it.

Don't be fooled by the 4.5 rating, because I certainly was! The only thing this hotel offers is big rooms! And not much else! The location is a big disadvantage, because all the main attractions are far away. You would either have to get a taxi every time, or rent a car or scooter. Car is better because of the distances, but it's more expensive. We were very happy that the hotel offers scooter rentals. However, sometimes the scooters are all in use, so then you're stuck. We were only able to get a scooter from our second day at the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. Back to the rooms - they had white lighting, which is a bit tasteless and makes it a bit too casual. You can fix that with the bedside lamps, though. The rooms also have mini fridges, which is always a plus point. My main issue was the bathroom; the placement / height of the wash basin, with the tiny shelf directly on top of the faucet - barely giving any space in between - was VERY uncomfortable to use. There is a normal way in which things are meant to be positioned, but this was completely absurd. The toilet and shower were all *one* area, albeit big. No boundaries, no borders, no cut-off point separating the two. So when you shower, the whole bathroom floor gets wet - and stays that way. I wouldn't have minded, had they provided wipers. The toilet paper was not great quality, and its holder was worse - when trying to put the roll in, it broke in the first instance. The toilet seat was slightly flimsy. The shower pressure was good, but the water not as hot as desired - despite keeping the geyser on the whole time. There was no proper space to keep things like shampoo. Breakfast: They have the shortest breakfast timings I've seen at any hotel 😂, namely 8am-10am (two hours). It is served inside the room. They give us a choice from four local items (from which we have to choose *one* for each day), plus toast & butter/jam, plus tea or coffee. We have to make the tea/coffee ourselves with the kettle in our room. They already apply the butter/jam on the toast for you, which is good for lazy people like me. And it was quite tasty! The local items were okay; it varies from palate to palate, whether one would like them or not. I liked three out of four, though they were quite oily. All that said, it was THE most basic breakfast I've ever had at any hotel. It only works as a preventive measure from going crazy with hunger right when you get up in the morning 😂 Speaking of food - because of the location of the place, there are no restaurants you can get to by foot (as far as I know), and even GrabFood Delivery had very limited options (we survived on ordering McDonalds for lunch). One good thing was that, unlike other hotels, there was a water dispenser in the lobby, free to use whenever we wanted. Hence, we never ran out of water. A note to all the VIEWERS considering staying in a hotel for the foreseeable. Please be kind to the team members that you encounter during your stay! 🙏🏻 Due to disappearance of income for months, the hotel you are staying in probably cannot afford to bring many team members back from furlough. If you are asked to wait in the bar, with a complimentary drink when you arrive at the hotel because your room is not quite ready. Sit patiently in the bar, and please be assured the team are working as quickly as they can. Imagine if you had to clean 20+ bedrooms yourself and think how long it would take you and how you would be feeling after room number 10! 😩 Don’t be surprised if the receptionist, waiter, housekeeper that you come across, does not actually have that role in their job title. With limited staffing, the hotel becomes 1 team! So if the waiter isn’t familiar with what beers are on offer and has to check, don't sigh and roll your eyes! Say thank you...they are probably the HR Manager! 🙋🏼‍♀️ Your room may not be cleaned everyday, as they have a duty to protect the team and as you should all well know, the virus can survive on surfaces and in the air. So why would they want to send our team into a dangerous environment just so you can have your bed sheets tucked in! They can of course offer you a top up of any guest supplies! In fact, you can have as many tea bags and loo rolls as you like!!! And yes, you have single use cups in your room, because no, they don’t have time to run 400+ cups and mugs through the dishwasher on a daily basis. 🤔🤔😫😒 When you decide to dine in the hotel, the menu may be limited. Please consider that there is likely to only be 1 chef in the kitchen, on his own, running the whole operation...yes that includes washing up too! They are grateful you chose to dine with them, but please be considerate and don’t complain because there isn’t enough options on the menu and you wanted steak! 🥗🥣🌮🥪🍲🥘🌭 I am sure the rate you are paying for your room may be a considerable amount of money to you. But, be rest assured they are considerably cheaper than what you would usually pay. So please do not ask for a discount because the leisure facilities are closed. As above, the industry is already struggling for income without having to process refunds because you weren't impressed with sausage you had at breakfast because it tasted too piggy! 🐷👏🏻👏🏻 And lastly, it is highly likely the hotel is going through a redundancy and restructure process right now. It is a very sad time for the hospitality industry. So please be kind, it is a very stressful and upsetting time for the team. They work very hard and very long hours to ensure that you have a relaxing break! I could go on but I am sure you get the gist by now! Went to Langkawi during semi lockdown in Klang Valley and was looking for a budget friendly accommodation just to shower and sleep. Upon looking Agoda (online booking aps) decided to stay at this place that situated in Kuah Town due to its super low rate (probably due to covid) and central location. The place is brand new and from the outside, it looks like a decent no frills accommodation. The lobby is like the average bed and breakfast place (they open 24 hrs.. Don't worry if u arrive late) If you are hungry, the sell basic instant food like instant noodles and waters. But what surprises me the most is the super clean room. Not just that, our room in level 1 (they even have lift) smells fresh and not to mention, is comparable to a 3 to 4 hotel star rooms size. They even have coffee making facilities and free water. (don't forget I just paid rm58 for it!) The air conditioning works just fine and the bed is with great pillow and mattress too. Like said, like in 3-4 star hotels! One thing you need to be mindful if you are driving, since the location is in rows of new shoplots, need to be mindful about the parking. U need to buy tickets for the parking (but according to the staff at check in counter, the enforcement officer usually comes in the morning around 10am😜)

Once sampai, ada deposit RM 50 for each room ya. They forget to mention here. Location cantik, lobby cantik, tapi bila masuk bilik, kurang bersih. Bilik ada bau sikit. Tapi view cantik nampak eagle Langkawi Overall, 5/10. Bilik murah, range RM 120+ je for each room. Nak duduk kejap2, okay memang recommended.
