A big shout out to Gudrun and David for hosting us in their beautiful home, Sunset Valley. Very gracious hosts, always checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. Happy to have met them (and their 3 dogs and 3 cats) and get acquainted. We spent 1 month in The Garden House at Sunset Valley and I think we couldn’t have picked better. Location is very central - 15 minutes drive to Chenang, 15 mins to Kuah, 15 mins to Tj Rhu - yet you feel like you’re quite away from everything. The land is serene, you have a great view of sunset over the paddy fields and you can listen to birdsong all day long. We loved the pool verandah - it is very well equipped, you have all you need for a pool side bbq, including a fridge to keep your beers cold and a built-in bluetooth speaker system. The house itself was perfect for us, an open-concept restored old kampung house, with a fully equipped kitchen allowing us to prepare our own meals, and with a big verandah where you can work or just sit and enjoy the space.    I definitely recommend this place for anyone seeking a private, chilled, spacious location. I think it’s great for single families as well as bigger groups since they have a few houses to choose from.    Thank you Gudrun and David (and Catmandu) for making us feel so at home. It was hard to leave but we know we’ll be back.

Got a cheaper deal, last room on last block 5. I need to walk a little far from the lobby but it's less noisy at night because it is far from the cruise jetty and the bar at centre court, more privacy. The view is great, the nights full of stars in November you can bring your own telescope. The restaurant is closed after 6pm and only has one bar open. Non halal, it also served alcohol. Have a game room to play dart, pool, foosball, and watch EPL. Buffet bbq and cruise dinner available nearby the jetty. Got an infinity pool and also a large children's pool. Good for family and group stay. It has free shuttle service to Cenang Mall. I suggest spending the evening at Cenang Beach, having dinner there and taking a grab around MYR 7-10 to get back to the Resort. Nightlife is happening more at Cenang Beach, but this resort is more private. You can get a cheaper Island Hopping Package (can buy online) at 9am-1pm at the nearby jetty too. Room amenities include a safe box (mine was out of battery that time), iron and iron board, hairdryer, mini bar, electric kettle, towel, toiletries and no bathrobe.

Food was not great but the location was fantastic to relax and enjoy the beach and pool. Building was a bit old and they didn’t have a king sized bed they just put a mattress pad over two single beds.

The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a travel agency in the lobby open during work hours where you can get helpful information about tours, local beaches, restaurants etc that we found very useful. The hotel is also conveniently located next to several banks, eating places, supermarkets and Langkawi’s Kuah night market that occurs on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We had an ocean view room that gave us a view of the ocean and pool. Our queen room was spacious and so was the bathroom, which included both a shower and bathtub. The rooms were decently clean though I would say the focus was more on certain items or areas and not the whole room. Still, it wouldn’t hold us back from visiting again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

First time here staying in this resort with my family, we had an enjoyable and wonderful moment. The service was great, all staff are good in manners and friendly. Cleanliness of the hotel and room was awesome. Buggy service was fast and efficient, they brought us for a hotel tour too. Buffet breakfast has alot of choices. The beach is very clean, and the swimming pool is nice and big. Everything was great. Definitely will be back again next time! Will recommend to friends and relatives around us! :)

The hotel is very nice, and we enjoyed our stay. There are two restaurants: one on the beach, offering more Western-style cuisine and alcohol, and another near the lobby that is more Asian and Muslim-friendly. For the beach restaurant, you need to book a table if you want to eat outside during the weekend. The breakfast was very good. There is an amazing kids' room with all sorts of toys where the children can safely play. Just next to it, there is a small zoo with many animals. We had a ground-floor room by the pool, which was very convenient as you can go for a swim anytime, walking out from your balcony. The bar inside the pool was nice, and the prices were reasonable. One complaint is that the check-in was very long, taking a bit more than an hour even though we arrived after 3 pm.

We were told family room was unavailable upon check in and offered suite with 2 rollaway beds. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. We did not want our kids to spend a single night on these so requested for a room change to family room as booked which was available later that evening (questionable really). The housekeeping guy couldn't wait to pack his bed whilst we were busy packing our things to move and he insisted on taking away 2 mineral water bottles. Lucky we insisted on the change as family room was so much bigger and the single beds comfier. Another big issue that everyone should know is the lack of hot water in the hotel. We were showering with mostly cold or very little warm water. Brought up the issue but nothing much was done about the no hot water issue.
