3-Star Hotels in Lao Cai

It is about40K shield (12 yuan) from the old street port. The room is quite big. I live on the 6～ 8th floor. You can see some street views of the old street, including: Ga Lao Cai (train station), but the train station is not lively at all, a bit similar to the market town of domestic third- and fourth-tier cities. The hotel is very clean, similar to the domestic chain store, is three-star, but they are checked in after 14:00, if you check in early, you need to pay another price 340K Shield (100 yuan Rmb), the original price is about 230. Looking at the scenery outside the hotel is okay, there is a bay window sitting by the window, drinking a cup of coffee is very pleasant (send a picture). Xiao Du (Ms.) at the front desk of the hotel can speak Chinese and there is no problem with basic communication. The owner (Ms.) of the small coffee shop on the right hand side of the main entrance of the hotel is very kind and Chinese is not bad.

Good location in that it was near a lot of different food places. It was also along the waterfront. Great views of the waterfront from where I was at. Great views of the mountains and hills. I liked how it had a restaurant to eat at. The only thing that I didn't like was the minibar which was kind of tacky where they got you where they want you in making it convenient and tempting for you to eat but the food is more expensive than going to the stores to make some extra money off of you. I also didn't like how they were nitpicky in their variation of price charges on their laundry depending on which type of garment you are washing.

Family run hotel. Located about 5 minutes to Railway Station and about 2.5 km to border and town centre. Not many food outlets nearby. Hotel and room are kept clean daily. Amenities provided enough for use and quality of towels are better than some 4 star hotel I have stayed. Staffs are very helpful and even enquired if I need anything. I would recommend to anyone who brings children along due to restrictions against bringing lady friends overnight.
