Hotel Silberhorn

This hotel is wonderful!! It is in a truly beautiful part of the world, and has spectacular views of the Falls , valley and Alps. Our room was outstanding. Renovated, modern , great bath and fabulous views from many windows. The lady on reception was lovely - very kind , helpful and a joy to chat to. We also thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant- excellent food and service. We loved our time in Lauterbrunnen and at this hotel , and highly recommend it.

What brought us to Switzerland was my girlfriend's 50th Birthday. She had done some Europe trips with her friends and really loved Switzerland so this is where she wanted to spend her big day. There were several choices online but something drew us to Hotel Silberhorn, and I'm so glad it did. Our stay was absolutely phenomenal. We stayed 4 nights and never once came across anything that we thought was less than exceptional. We stayed in one of the Staubbach rooms and had an amazing view of Staubbach Falls from our room, living room and patio. Our room looks like it just had a remodel and was very modern including a shower that had the shower head in the ceiling and it rained down on you (amazing). There was so much attention to the small details and it was a wonderful room to stay in. We saw our housekeeper everyday and she was fantastic. Now. As if the room wasn't great enough, and the location of the hotel being great enough as it is a block from the train station and main road.......the service was the best. The check in happened on line a day prior but we were still greeted by a wonderful front desk who gave us an orientation of the hotel amenities. The breakfast buffet is the best I've ever had including fresh baked bread and a cheese bar. I've never really had cheese for breakfast but it was great. They also have 2 coffee machines that offer 6 choices of types of coffee and tea, wonderful. The dinners in the restaurant were great too! In fact, even with all the choices in fown we actually ate at the hotel all 4 nights because it was so good. Finally, I want to give a special shout out to 2 employees that really stood out to us among an already impressive Team. Leonia and Natalia were dynamite. I thought I was a good multi tasker at work but I fail in comparison to these two. They were all over the place taking care of multiple tables yet we've never had better service. They were so charming and we really felt like they cared about our experience at Silberhorn and worked so hard at it. We appreciate them both so much and look forward to a return visit to see them and stay at this wonderful hotel again.

This is a very well situated hotel, right next to the station and very close to the cable car. It was a really comfortable room and we really appreciated the hot tub with a wonderful view of the mountains from it. We were particularly appreciative of the hotels efforts to reduce plastic use. Food at breakfast was in refillable glass containers and the toiletries were in refillable bottles in the main, although not in the bath sadly. The meals were very good with vegetarian options available.

Not so helpful front desk lady. We missed the restaurant 4 mins before closing and we didn't get to eat dinner, she has no alternative recommendation either. Breakfast was excellent, outdoor garden and a short trail to view the waterfalls is amazing. Low down is the shower room, small square with no enclosure, just hanging curtain to close.

The hotel location was great, very near to the train station. A co-op supermarket was nearby. The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel restaurant served great food. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay.

We love the view

Great spot for an affordable place to crash. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was open until 9pm and the breakfast was very good (eggs, cereal, bread, fruit, coffee machine, bacon, sausage, local cheese, sliced meats, yogurt etc.). Only a few minutes walking distance from the train station. Very spacious room and bathroom. Very clean--the only thing is that rugs and furniture are getting worn/out dated.
