We decided to use the leisure facility if you can call it that I was told no towels by reception so he got one from another room asi again expressed I was not happy.  I was tetchy as I had driven from Worcestershire to Cornwall then to Brighton. I asked about the steam room and sauna which he pointed us to.  He said steam room needed to follow instructions and it was quick to turn on.  I said OK.  When we got to the sauna it was cold and turned off by this point and having seen the state of the facilities I was way past been pissed off on this.  I was also feeling bad as I wanted my son to relax before his audition in the morning.  The steam room heated up in 5/10 mins so used that which was nice.  The spa bath was not hot at all and for some reason stones in the swimming pool possibly for effect.  The pictures of the leisure facility show the state of disrepair.

Never been to such a disgusting room in my life, how they have the nerve to let this room out was beyond me, the carpet was dated filthy and lumpy, pillows stains all over them, broken chair, chipped mugs, the list goes on, they should have paid us £92 to stay there, I wouldn’t let a dog stay there, needless to say we did not stay and we have to get in touch with yourselves for a refund

This newly renovated pub has been styled brilliantly. It is inkeeping with the old town of Lewes. What I really like is that it doesn’t feel like you’re in a chain pub. The conservatory is a lovely place to eat. The food is great, with decent size portions. The staff are delightful and can’t do enough for you.

This place has had a major refurbishment and on recommendation of friends we visited for family Sunday lunch. We understood it is part of the same group as The Red Deer in Horsham and as that was so good, it was an easy booking to make. The roast beef was as good as we'd hoped. Indeed all the meals were excellent. The draft ales offered a good choice. Non alcoholic options good too. The children's drink choice were slightly disappointing. It is not a cheap lunch. But nor is it exorbitant. We regarded it as good vfm as the food, drinks and staff were so good. The White Hart is unrecognisable from last time we visited. It's terrific and recommended.

🙁Very disappointed, when entering it has a good ambiance, did not find the staff on entering very welcoming, we were booked for a lunchtime sitting…Restaurant greeting was friendly, table ready, drinks order to which they forgot mine The acoustics in the dinning area made it very difficult to hear each other, It was not helpful as 1 of our party has a hearing problem. It was not enjoyable for socialising I left with a headache,When the dining room cleared a bit, I was wearing a chiffon Blouse and felt a draught which chilled Order the Duck which was a bit tough as this had been over cooked, Food was not very warm carrots cold, .,..pudding which was autumn something I felt cheated compared to other puddings at the table, very nicely presented but sparse…. Menu mediocre nothing special to write home about, Expensive in comparison as I paid the same price for food at the Ivy Brighton which was fantastic. Would not rush back

My first visit to the restaurant at The White Hart, and I was most impressed. The building has been nicely refurbished in the recent past, and the restaurant is bright & welcoming with a good menu. I ordered trout for lunch, but owing to a small mix-up the hake was delivered to the table. The staff were very apologetic and said that they would arrange for the trout to be prepared, but I said I was happy to have the hake (which was delicious!). Later, another staff member said that they would deduct my meal from the bill because of their error (even though I had eaten it!) You don’t find such good customer service everywhere these days, and I am happy to recommend the restaurant and look forward to my next visit.

Dec 5th 2024. An overnight stay. Welcomed by Angelo, who was very accommodating and helpful. Our room had classical music being played from a vintage looking wireless on the bedside. This gave the room an amazing ambience. Small, lovely treats on the table along with a hand written personal note welcoming us. The little glass bottles of milk were also a lovely touch. Honestly, it really is amazing. Staff are super friendly, location is great, food is awesome and special shout out to Amelia at the bar, which is social and welcoming. I definitely will be staying here again on my next trip. Only negative is parking, but they do have a drop off point and the parking at the station is only a few minutes walk. Thank you White Hart.

The hotel had had a complete refurbish a couple of months ago and so was in first class condition. The old building had been very cleverly rearranged and was most interesting. The staff were particularly welcoming and friendly AND smiled. This made one feel very at home. The food was excellent with an interesting variety of dishes, which were little different from most other venues. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and cleverly furnished and decorated. Overall our two days there were a delight.
