The hotel was good but not 5 star. The room was small and air conditioning was not the best. Tv was not working so had to mess around with cables to get it on. Some of the furniture was chipped. The breakfast was okay one day, the next two mornings were hit and miss. Cold beans, lukewarm scrambled eggs and also hard fried eggs. I would expect better from a 5 star environment. Overall the hotel location was very good and the bed and servicing of the room was good. The room amenities were poor. Teabags(4) No flavoured teas, no biscuits, no hot chocolate sachets and a coffee machine with (4) pods and a metre electric cord and two metres from a socket. Like I said, far too many little things wrong to be a 5 star establishment. Overall was ok but for 360 pounds a night you are having a laugh.

Hotel is lovely, rooms may be a little outdated but were super clean. Amazing restaurant in house the ”Leicester Square Kitchen” more than made up for the rooms. Amazing Mexican/Peruvian small plates of food. Worth coming back just for that. Massive shout out to Sonia also who was on the breakfast shift. As my daughter commented ”that's the kind of energy you want to meet in the morning” :)

This hotel was overall a good experience. Considering the price tag some things were not as good as expected though: - The location. Although it is very central located Leicester Square does have a share of homeless people walking around and heavy ambiance in the late night. Nevertheless considering connections is as perfect as it can be in central London. - The rooms are a little small but nicely appointed. - The bathroom has a weird design with a small bathtub. Really liked the toto toilet. - Too much light in the room in the night. The curtains don't close completely and are a lot of mirrors reflecting the light troughout the room. - The hotel is big with several common areas and at reception there is no clear explanation... for instance I didn't understand if the courtyard was open or not. Nevertheless the gym, pool and spa were very straightforward and well appointed. - I think it is not acceptable the in room open ear cleaners (cotonete) for hygienic reasons. - Lights over the bed too strong. - Room cleaning could be better. The highlights of the stay: - The central location besides the inherent problems. - Lively but yet organized and not loud entrance lobby and bar. - The complimentary soft drinks and snacks at the secondary lobby. - Miller Harris bath products overall very good except the body lotion which the smell was harsh and totally off. - Gym and pool. - Overall very quiet room and halls. So would I return there? Honestly only if I really need to stay at Leicester Square. For me it was good but not amazing stay, with an overall feeling of pretensious mood and too expensive for what it was. If you want a really luxurious expericence I would recommend to search elsewhere but at a discount this would be a nice stay. For the amount of hotels in central London this one just didn't excited me enough.. I would prefer to return to Pan Pacific for instance.

What an amazing hotel and and even better experience! Check in was super smooth and very friendly reception team. Our room was just amazing, the bed was ultra comfortable with the usual high quality linens which made for a perfect night’s sleep. Lots to do in the hotel even if it is just sitting in the lounge seats watching the world go by in the bustling Leicester Square. Cocktail choices were very unique and perfectly blended, food was just as good with some amazing dishes. There was a Souk inspired evening when we were there which we loved as the music was great to listen to whilst having a few drinks. I loved the breakfast being à la carte as opposed to a buffet as the service is much more personable. Can’t wait to come back!

The Haymarket is not a grand hotel by any means, but that’s just fine by us. It is extremely comfortable, with excellent service, large, well-organized rooms (even in the lowest category), luxurious bathrooms with powerful showers, and wonderfully inviting common areas. The staff is always pleasant and seem to like working there. The location is ideal for us - easy access to the theatres, restaurants and shops of Soho and Mayfair, and to the Mall, Green and Hyde Parks for morning runs. Staying there is akin to visiting a friend who has eclectic and excellent decorating taste - and a wonderful 55 foot long swimming pool in the basement. Per our request, we were given the same room we had stayed in last July - and it was ready for us when we arrived at 1pm. Sadly the light we had enjoyed through the large windows during our last stay was obscured by painting scaffolding and nets - but I suppose one has to keep up appearances…After years of staying at the Berkeley and the Connaught, with occasional unfortunate forays to the Hotel Cafe Royal and the Stafford, we have found a London hotel that works for us; while expensive, it represents good value in the stratospherically priced market.

I was looking at the Biltmore and the Waldorf but decided to stay at the Trafalgar as they have bigger rooms than the Biltmore and the Waldorf looks like it is in desperate need of an upgrade. Everyone was very polite and helpful apart from one staff member, more on that later. I was upgraded to a Suite on arrival but requested a toom with two beds instead which was granted. The Nelson double room is very spacious and modern. It faintly smelled of mothballs whenever you entered the room and the smell then quickly disappeared. We noticed that one of the beds was sagged in the middle and this was very quickly resolved by the maintenance team and was not an issue for us at all. The only reason i mention it in my review is because Alejandra apologised a thousand times for this “inconvenience” and even send us Macaroons and drinks to the room as an apology. During checkout, Alejandra apologised again and made sure our stay was perfect. There was a key card under the bed which was covered with dust as was the carpet under the bed. Cleanliness regarding this could obviously be better as dust can trigger allergies. The service of the staff at Trafalgar is above that of all other Hilton properties in London and certainly a step above from general hospitality service in Europe. I would give the service at Trafalgar a 9 based on European standards and a 7 based on Middle-Eastern and Asian standards. Breakfast was so highly rated in many reviews of this hotel which also influenced my choice, i was expecting an absolute feast. Unfortunately, breakfast was quite disappointing for us. Staff was great apart from someone who i can only describe as a North-African young woman with shoulder length curls who did not want to give us one of the three empty tables available in the Breakfast room with only 40 minutes available for Breakfast as she was keeping those for families of 7. This is rather absurd and we ended up taking one of the tables anyway as i wasn’t going to sit where she suggested which was away from everyone else. Breakfast in any hotel, especially 5* is always based on first come, first serve. You can’t deny your guest seating space at breakfast as if you were running a dinner service. Vegan options are very, very limited. Fruit selection is even more basic than what you can get at any supermarket in London. There was only Cantaloupe, Watermelon and Pineapple. There were Apples and Bananas for grabs but that is still not enough. Pastries are miniatures which is really shameful for a breakfast buffet. Only sausages available were Pork, no vegan and no Chicken so unfortunately no sausages for me. It’s basically a full English and that’s it. You could order A-La-Carte but that wasn’t special either. We had Amex Platinum credit so we used that for one of the dishes which was not special for the £15 asking price. Room service was basic as well. Good location, right next to Trafalgar Square, next to Tesco express and Macdonald. The hotel room is also large. Friendly service, you can order Chinese food with just eat. The room has a microwave. Hygiene is average, seems gray, and the bathroom has a slight odor. There is no own parking lot. There is a cooperative parking lot on the other side of the square. You can park temporarily at the door and drop your luggage before going to the parking lot. Parking is 44 pounds a day and about 37 pounds with a hotel coupon. There are actually two hotels here, one is grand and the other is cq. I booked grand but lived in Cq. I do n’t know how to arrange it. When the hotel is not busy, it is sold at 7-800, and the price is good. After all, it is close to the Thames and other attractions.

The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

Truly an experience. My wife and I brought my mom to London for her 80th birthday, as afternoon tea at The Ritz was still on her bucket list. She had no idea I booked our stay there as well, and the Rolls Royce pickup from the airport. The hotel itself is what you expect, the Luis XVI style common areas and rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the place memorable, are the people. From our first contact with Johan, and our check in with Giacomo, Gavin, Roberto everyone was fantastic throughout our stay. The amount of time that the folks at reception are willing to spend just chatting and sharing stories with you is something you just don't find elsewhere. Many thoughtful interactions with my mom as the whole place seemed to know her big birthday was coming up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at the Ritz for making it happen.

W/End away in London. We were looking for a hotel close to the river Thames & St. Catherine’s Docks inc. Tower Bridge & St. Paul’s Cathedral. Eventually we found the Clubquaters Hotel in St. Paul’s. which was was spot on for location. The hotel was superb, great facilities, inc. a gym. the room was lovely, Reception staff were very helpful. Just off the Reception is a direct link door to the superb Cotes Restaurant, so we could start our day off with a great Full English Breakfast. Yum…Yum it was spot on! The location of the hotel is superb….St. Paul’s Cathedral right next door…a Bell Ring away….the River Thames including the famous Millennium Bridge, a short walk away. Close to St. Paul’s Underground along with city bus stops and numerous extremely convenient shops., couldn’t fault it. Spot on!

On arrival at the hotel we was slightly unsure what to expect giving we had a frosty woman check us in and it took 25 minutes in total to check 3 people. Once checked in though things where great bed was comfy room quiet ( no hot water for a shower before bed ) but I was to shattered to go 4 flights down and by morning there was hot water). The TV smart mirror system can be confusing so in reality it’s a normal tv with the option of attaching your mobile device. Breakfast was really good at £6 each. The rooms are showing signs of ageing however this would not stop you enjoying the delights of premier inn hub. In fact I would go as far to say it would be nice to see more PI Hubs at more locations rather the just in city centre locations, especially if they lowered the price for them

We stayed here for 12 nights in late September, arriving the day after the Queen's funeral. We were able to check in to room #306 immediately, being lucky that an early check-in was possible. Later in the day we saw many more people checking in, so we beat the rush, thankfully! This location is, literally by definition, and the absolute epicenter of London. Charing Cross Road and Trafalgar Square are considered the historic center of the metropolis, and this hotel is right in the middle of it, soundproofed within an inch of its life. As quiet as is possible. We had the city-view room, and it is worth the extra cost. There room isn't as small as I was led to believe, but it surprisingly lacks a table or chair, and there's no closet space, only a place to hang a few items. And there's no TV. But that's all that it is lacking. The bathroom is modern and up-to-date, and the shower is to die for. We were able to procure an iron and board when we needed them, and they were removed when we were through. Ask and it shall be possible. A shout-out to every single staff member working there - they were friendly, knowledgeable, and treated us like honored guests. They made a great stay even more fantastic! If and when I ever get back to London, I'll be here again.

We had already planned to come to London for months. It turned out we arrived after the Queen Elizabeth’s death @7AM English time on September 12th , Angel greeted us with a big smile and told us our room was ready. It’s a terrific hotel You could not have a more helpful staff.,Barbara and Angel entire staff. The location is perfect next to Charring Cross tube,near West End, Walking distance to Government Buildings Diagonal to Trafalgar Square . I would give it higher than 5 .if I could.Will definitely go back and stay . I have told my friends at home . Thanks for a great visit,

Stayed two nights to attend a wedding. We had apartment 6 on the upper floor facing away from the street. You could hear the rumble of the tube but considering that Irving Street is full of eateries and the proximity of the square it was peaceful. The apartment was in good condition, well prepared and clean. It was excellent for our purpose. Had I been expected to stay there for work then I would have found the table too small to act as a substitute desk. Kara responded to our queries very swiftly and arranged for a couple of packages that arrived before us to be left in the room. The apartment provided all that we needed for the trip.
