This hotel is a joke. It’s a 2-star but it’s unfair for paying guests. The reception is badly lit and unattended at most times. The entire building is like under construction. The bed has not been changed (yes, it’s got stains) and smelly. The walls are falling apart and the toilet is really bad that the sliding door comes off. Handle is a loose single screw.. very unhygienic and unsafe. Avoid this hotel at all cost.

Room had not been cleaned properly. found popcorn in the bed. The bed had been made but there was no way the sheets were fresh and clean.
Never stay here again, very disappointed.

advantage:
Cheap, only 80 pounds for Christmas;
The location is good, close to Marylebone and Baker Street underground stations, making it easy to go anywhere in the city;
There is a convenience store next to it;
shortcoming:
The room is very small,
The bed is small and wobbly.
Sound insulation is average.
The windows are small,
It was difficult to adjust the water temperature in the bathroom and sink.
Summary: Cheap and well-located, you can choose to sleep together.

Very Good

The guy at the front desk is super great, the service is very good, there is free coffee at the front desk, and you don't even need to tip for your luggage. The location is in the city center. It is very conscientious to have a separate bathroom at this price in London.

Room can only be described as student digs. Room nothing like the photos Alot of damp coming through ceiling, bathroom so small that legs touch both bath and wall when sitting on the toilet, shower just works but about 40 years old. Mattress is a bag of springs that can only be slept on with another duvet to cushion it. Rodent poison and electronic repeller in room No explanations to why room was so bad thankfully we were only here for one night. Cheap and in good area but be warned it is very very basic needing huge improvements.

Booked a one night stay here and I was never expecting anything glam for the £132 I paid. However, it's tatty, in disrepair and from the front the brick work is badly bowed. Poorly decorated with lining paper peeling, rusty shower rail in the bathroom, stained bath and toilet, gaffer tape on the stairs carpet and some bonus dirty laundry in one of our room drawers from a previous guest. One of our lights had no bulb and some of the furniture in the room was closed to collapse. The welcome was good however and we were served well by him. Great location, shame about the rest.

Still waiting to check in at the 24/7 reception. I was told that I would be seen to "my dude" so that's reassuring. At worst you can sleep on the sofas in the reception while you wait to check in so it could be worse, you could be actually homeless.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in - and I’m a regular traveller - and I’ve been in some dives. The room was old, scruffy, with damp patches and many broken items including rotting window frames. This is not compliant with minimum standards. There was no soap or toiletries of any kind. Just 2/3 of a loo role - exceptionally rough paper! Very old bed. The sheets and pillowcases did not appear to have mites but my partner suffered itching and hives, which she has never had before from a hotel bed. I presume an allergic reaction. This did not affect me though. There were two spare pillows in the wardrobe but no pillowcases. There was an electrical heater and electric fan in the room, neither was PAT tested (a legal requirement). The room was warm - the radiator worked well. The bathroom was tiny with broken shower curtain fixed with tape. Toilet was not clean with brown stains in the base of the bowl (not bleached) and filth between the back of the seat and cistern. One side of the door frame was missing altogether exposing tile edges. Carpet was an old brown wrinkled one that is long overdue for replacement. We dare not go barefoot on it. There was a TV on the wall with just one channel tuned in. The rooms do not have kettles, glasses, iron/board information. These are available at reception though. This is a hotel that does not care for the comfort or environment of its customers. They know that people will always stay regardless, so why spend money making it nice? For the £175 a night we paid, it is a p*ss take.

The most basic of hotels. No tea/coffee facilities in the room (available in the foyer), no lifts so a challenge if on the 4th floor with suitcases, no table or chair in the room, window rotten but functional (not suitable for a family with young children as no safety bars/catches), basic bathroom (toilet not the cleanest). If you just want somewhere to crash at night then great value, but it stops there.

After reading past reviews from the last month or so I was really sceptical about staying here but had left it too late to cancel. The appearance of the lobby was good but did not follow through with the rest of the hotel. The room we stayed in was mostly clean (apart from the toilet) but everywhere needed updating and a lot of work is required to bring it up to scratch. We had a new mattress on one of the beds and a stained mattress on the other, however mattress protectors were in use and the bedding was very clean, as were the towels. The bathroom itself was clean but was very outdated and poorly finished with cracked tiles, bath panel that didn’t fit and flaking paint. The toilet just needed replacing completely or attacking with a bucket of bleach and a good scrubbing brush. Secondary glazing was fitted however one of the panes was missing so the room was rather noisy. The room was only a place to lay our heads and for that reason it was fine. Go with an open mind, it’s a 2 star at London prices, don’t expect the ritz because you would be disappointed. We would stay here again if there was no other option. The location is good as just out of the city centre so the shops are slightly cheaper and it’s much quieter on an evening and not as much hustle and bustle during the day.

The bed was okay and the room was extremely clean. Although, the decor was very tatty and outdated. The stairs had tape on them which did not look great. The room was very stuffy and the window would not open correctly. The Staff are very friendly though.

I stayed at this hotel and there was a mouse in my room. I have photo evidence of this. I was told I would get a refund but I have still not received it. I found the manager very rude and he told me i should be more appreciative of the situation - the situation being that the room I paid 60£ for had an actual mouse in it.

This hotel is not luxury but when your paying less than a Travelodge or even a hostel its very good especially given the location. This was my second visit in a year and whilst the room is very basic it's still very clean and comfortable. Yes the finish isn't great and the hotel is still very clearly being refurbished but if I'm paying less than £50 a night for zone 1 then it's definitely worth it. My only real problem was the tiny shower that I struggled to fit in, but other than that it was great for a week exploring London. I will happily stay again (if it's cheap)

I live in Hampstead but had to find a quick room to stay whilst my central heating wasn't working properly. The booking was brilliant and so was the welcome from George on concierge.🙏 The room was lovely and warm clean too with an excellent shower! But for Bakers Street at £60 that is fantastic value even for out of season.
