Hotels near Royal College of Physicians in London

We were in London for my step-son to donate his stem cells to Anthony Nolan. This hotel was the absolute ideal location for us getting to and from the hospital. Location: 15 minute uber from Kings cross. 10 minute walk from Madame Tussauds and Regent's Park. Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. The Metropolitan (next to Tussauds) was lovely for dinner. Baker Street underground here also. Check in: smooth and quick. Staff were lovely. Check out: easy and quick. Restaurant: Beautiful. We only ate breakfast, which was your usual buffet, cereal, pancakes, toast, yogurts, fruit etc. Food was delicious and the staff very helpful. Room: lovely, spacious, clean and quiet. There was a desk, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and shower gel/shampoo. If you forget any toiletries, speak to reception. We forgot our toothbrushes and they hotel provided these for us. Bathroom was spotless (shower isn't very powerful). There are plenty lifts to get you to your room. The lift requires you to tap your key card to make it move (we had a laugh as we didn't realise this). We ended up having to stay an extra night in London. When speaking to the hotel, they could give us an additional night for £400. I definitely wouldn't pay that for 1 night, but if you can get a cheaper rate, we recommend this hotel.

I checked in to the Fitzrovia Hotel, London on September 19th, 2022 accompanied by my teenage daughter. From booking our reservation with Ms Anne to our check out - I can only say, I was beyond impressed by the professionalism, friendliness and excellent service we experienced across the board. This boutique hotel is located in the heart of London’s Fitzrovia, only minutes from Oxford Street and other popular city locations. The decor is classic British style, rooms are comfortable and exceptionally well maintained, with top marks for cleanliness and hygiene. The staff, without exception, were excellent! Nothing was too much trouble and any requests were accommodated in a professional and timely manner. I must mention by name the dedicated and tireless efforts of several outstanding staff members, who went above and beyond to make our stay at The Fitzrovia, memorable, for all the right reasons. Ms Francilla, Ms Nirmali and Mr Nick were as charming as they were professional, always happy to ensure our stay was comfortable and were especially helpful when our stay necessitated an unexpected extension of 7 additional nights. Each morning, we were warmly greeted and attended to by pleasant and friendly wait-staff, Ms Petranca and Mr Sulav who ensured we had everything our hearts could desire at breakfast. The delicious complimentary buffet breakfast boasted a wide selection of choices to suit everyone, from healthy options to the irresistible full English. Other staff members who must be commended for their outstanding service, during our stay were; Ms. Atilliyah, Ms. Nimah, Ms. Virginia, Mr. Johann, Puttun and Mr Lassita all of whom contributed to our exceptionally pleasant 10-night stay. The Housekeeping staff were highly efficient, though not intrusive and their dedication was evident in the pristine standards maintained in the bathroom and bedroom. The Fitzrovia rooms are a comfortable size, some can accommodate up to 3 guests and many of the bathrooms were recently renovated. There is a safe in each guest room, bottled water is also provided as well as in house Wi-Fi. There are 2 elevators, a cosy bar on the ground level and a well laid out restaurant on the lower ground level. The concierge is always eager to assist guests with luggage or reserve a taxi for a pre-arranged time. I extend our sincere appreciation to the entire Fitzrovia Hotel team for looking after us so well. I highly recommend this fine hotel and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Lady Aquarius. There are few reviews, but I must evaluate the Melia Hotel. First of all, the service is very good. On the day of arrival, because of the early flight, I arrived at the hotel very early and could not check in. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and helped me find a place for me After taking a break, he went to the restaurant to get coffee for me. The phone was about to run out of power, and he helped me find the adapter again. Later, they checked me in early. I feel that the staff throughout the hotel are very warm and courteous. The hotel breakfast is also good 😊 In short, I am very satisfied with my stay for three days.

I booked this prior to a departure from Euston, and it has been perfectly fine. The rooms are *small* -- my ”standard single” is at most about 12' x 12', but is designed very well, so that the space is quite comfortable. It features a single-wide bed (firm but comfortable), a small desk, a side table, and a tiny but serviceable toilet/shower. I was a bit shocked at how small it was when I arrived, but everything works. There's a large closet, full tea/coffee-making facilities, and the shower is a reasonable size and quite nice. Breakfast was merely OK, but an acceptable value at GBP 15. The check-in staff was pleasant. The asterisk* in the title has to do with Euston (and is totally out of the hotel's control) -- there's a new station and perhaps a big tower going up at Euston (Oct 2022), and because of this what would be a one-block walk becomes a 2-3 block walk (and a somewhat long 2-3 blocks at that) because of construction, and I imagine this will be true for several years given the size of the hole in the ground.

On arrival the check in desk was extremely busy however they were really quick! We were over an hour early and as the rooms were ready they gave us the keys straight away! Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome immediately. Location was perfect!!! And a 2 minute walk to the dominion theatre to see sister act!! Rooms are small but they had everything we needed for a weekend break. Shower was powerful with plenty of heat. Only criticism is there was no cups to put ice in by the machines and tv channels weren’t the best as they kept buffering. Will definitely stay here again .

The reception and lobby operate like a train station,lots of people arriving and leaving arround the clock.the lobby is small and crowded, so you can not simply sitting and enjoying the bar. Breakfast buffee is somewhat less crowded and there's fine verity of food. We got a suite on the 4th floor,a fine large room, with lots of furniture,but the storage places for clothes almost non existing. It is as if the closet,open one , is only planed for buissnessmen,who hang their suits! Not enough light above the mirror for a woman, to put some makeup. Bathroom good size but the door is not closing easily. The taxi/bolt sevice is awful.we had to wait for a cab 15 to 20 minutes, mayby the location is problematic, and walking to the nearest tube swiss cotage, took ne 12 minutes. The staff was very nice and helpfull!

Good location near Russell Square station, walking distance to Tottenham Court Road, Euston (15min). Room is basic and comfortable. Doors slam very loudly and cause disturbance at night. There was a function one night that lasted till almost midnight and the noise/music reverberations travelled a couple of floors up.

Overall, I am satisfied with the stay. There is a convenient store and many restaurants nearby. Moreover, the rail station is right next to the hotel. It just spends 15 minutes walk to British Museum and 20 minutes walk to Soho. There is a bathtub in the bathroom but the shower head is fix. It is not quite convenient for me. Other than that, the stay is good. I highly recommend.

What a great place to start your day off if your running into the City for a staycation. First, through Luggage Hero, you can drop your bags off here safe and secure and collect them later. On top of that, you can sample the delights of some superb food...my wife and I had breakfast. What a great place, it's around the corner from Euston Station, a short walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras and near all the London Underground connections you need. :)

Stayed with my family for a week and was great… My daughter love the hotel and my son a swell Breakfast was delicious and had variety of croissants and jams The receptionist Marsida and Jade where great with customer service and smiley at all times thank you Marble Arch team
