Hubby and I decided to stay here for a change. It's located at a busy intersection with many stores across the street. The first thing I noticed was the essential elements of Victorian architecture inside the building. The looks created goosebumps. I started picturing the movie ”1408,” but the building is up to the 4th floor only. Don't panic! Nothing happened here. Don't watch too many scary movies and you'll be all right! The pool was closed temporarily so we couldn't enjoy it. I used the gym and business center. Unfortunately, I couldn't print anything at the business center, so I had to save the files and send them to the employee at the front desk so that they could print them for me. The computers worked fine, though. We got a complimentary daily breakfast. It was ok, with minimal choices. I tried it once and didn't return the next day because we found an excellent place to get our breakfast. The employees are friendly and helpful. The parking situation is a plus, easy access to the lobby and from the entrance, you need a key in the elevator to go up to the 3rd or 4th floor or your room. I used the gym. The hotel needs some newer equipment for sure. The treadmill wasn't working, so I used the elliptical and weight machines. Although it's located in a busy area, I prefer the location near the water we stayed in last time. That was Crowne Plaza hotel. Anyway, the room condition was ok. The bed wasn't very comfortable, though. Our room faced the pool that wasn't working at the time. It was not a busy season. We joked around that we were the only guest on the first day. After the first day, I saw...people, not dead people, phew! We're safe! We're not sure whether we will stay here again, but the location is not for me.

The location is far away from the bustling area, but if you take a cruise at the Port of Los Angeles, it is indeed an excellent choice, and you can walk there in 15 minutes. The breakfast was good, the swimming pool was just closed and I couldn't enjoy it, there was a laundry room, only washing machines and dryers but no washing powder for purchase. You can see the sea view and be close to the warship. There are small shops and many restaurants nearby. There are larger shops and more prosperous areas in about 20 minutes' walk.

Was a very nice facility to stay. Very clean and helpful staff. The location I would not recommend you going anywhere after dark. But in the day time it’s fine. Location is close to almost anything you need. I would recommend this lnn.

Stayed at the hotel for a few days to take care of some business. Let me say this- it wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great either. Pros- The air conditioning worked GREAT! And the room was extremely clean, likely one of the cleanest and best smelling hotels I’ve stayed at. The bathroom is very big by hotel standards. And while the rest of the bathroom seems to have been updated, the shower hasn’t. However with that said the height of the shower head was higher then average and the pressure was great. It did have a small refrigerator. Cons- The beds were very firm, so if you have back problems watch out. One of the hardest mattresses that I’ve slept on, almost at a point of being to firm. And there virtually no space in the room. The fridge, dresser, and area to hang clothes up is in a small area in which the bed is practically in the way. There is a path of 8-10 inches between the bed and wall that you have to go through to get to that space. And there’s about the same amount of space in between the beds. Overall it was a decent stay. Would I stay again? Not likely.
