HG Tenerife Sur

Nice apartments lovely pool area which gets sun all day.the staff are very friendly and helpful.the area surrounding these apartments are filled with great bars and restaurants.

******* are mis-selling this properly. It no longer looks anything like the pictures advertised and there is no information on the listing advising of the huge construction site right behind the hotel causing a lot of noise. This was our 2nd stay here and it will certainly be the last. If you want a good night's sleep, do not stay here. Every night we were kept awake by noises within the hotel. If anyone around you has their Aircon on, you're kept up with a constant whirring/washing machine type noise. I had ear plugs in and could still hear it. The hallway lights outside the room buzz and the fridge also buzzes very loudly. Far from a peaceful stay. One night a pipe on the grounds was letting off an awful beeping noise. We even considered checking out early due to lack of sleep but due to only staying 3 nights, and the cost of going elsewhere we stayed and put up with it as ******* couldn't guarantee a refund if we left. The sunbed and pool situation is ridiculous. All beds are reserved by the crack of dawn so unless you want to wake up at 5am on holiday, you won't get a bed. Hotel has signs up saying you can't reserve but they don't enforce this. The lifeguard packs all sunbeds away at 17:30, which for a holiday hotel is ridiculous when they sun is still shining way beyond that. They start packing up around you, so youre made to feel like you need to leave and can't use the pool beyond that time. They'll start jet washing the sides down around you too.

Stayed a week beginning of December 24. Nice, clean, simple apartments that had all we needed for the week. Close to lots of bars and restaurants and a short walk downhill to the main town. We were in the older blocks facing the pools, not sure I would have liked ground floor facing out given the high security fencing. Cleaners were in every day to change towels and we had no complaints with that. Friends had issue with shower in their apartment overflowing which took a while to partially fit. Not sure I would visit in height of season as no air con - nighttime was stifling even in December - and pool/sunbed issue would be difficult when busy.

First time at the HG Tenerife Sur and is very nice. The studio apartment is at the back so is quiet at night although the staff like to gossip at full volume around 7.30 am which is a bit annoying (better insulation around the door would be good). TV has no English channels but then I am not here to watch telly. Told is a fault across the complex. Food is lovely. I never have high expectations for hotel food but this was fresh and tasty same with breakfast. Staff are friendly and only criticism was no escorting to your room. Overall a decent room at 3 star level. Judging by comments best to come out of summer. Loads of sun beds and quiet.

Great spot to stay From time you walked in to property made very welcome and safe / cleanliness was high priority and noticed all staff were temperature tested before work every day which for me was a great indication on the seriousness they put out guests at. Maria Angulius happiest cleaner ever and Carlos life guard just went the extra mile thank you Management and staff top class.

Very clean but dated The apartment was very clean as were all communal areas. The staff were helpful and any reported bits of maintenance issues were fixed immediately. The furnishings in the apartment lounge need an update as they are reaching the end of their life and are worn and dated.
