This is a small family run guesthouse with only a handful of rooms. It is very outdated, the interior is old and there are only narrow stairs but no lift, so we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs.
We booked a double room with shower. One thing we found really weird is there is no toilet inside the room. There is only a shared toilet, which was not specified when we booked. The shower is also not separated by a door, it looks very old and the drain seems a bit cloaked, temperature could be very hot or cold.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room temperature was very cold the first night but when asked they helped us turn on the heating.
This place really is just a guesthouse. Do not expect it to be like a hotel. But the staff are friendly.

From the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful and accommodating nothing was too much for them. Accommodation was excellent and the bed was so comfortable. It is only a short walk from the Great Central Railway which we had a great day visiting. Loughborough Town is also a short walk from the hotel. We did not manage to fit in a meal at their Thai restaurant however on our next visit we will make room in our plans to fit it in. Thank you for a great stay.

Absolutely horrible experience! The beds were not clean and sheets were stained and dirty filled with bed bugs.

We were initially given a rubbish, small room. We had booked a deluxe. We came back from a night out to find we were unable to enter as we had NOT been given the code. We were shouted at from a front first floor room by someone whose grasp of English was a list of expletives. Receptionist said it was a person put there by the local council without a risk assessment. He clearly had mental health issues.
Even given this type of ‘guest’, there was no night staff. This was a clear security issue. He said it was a guest house not a hotel so no security was legally required.
It was a terrible experience especially when it became clear an attempt to get into my car resulted in me driving 259 miles with the drivers side window open.

Cannot fault this. Baz giving lots of chat and humour along with being professional.
We had couple massages that were great.
Great good great comfy beds.

We stayed in a family room - one double and single bed. The room was dirty, dusty and room was overall disappointing. I couldn’t wait to get home to shower. We saw the appearance of a double room and was much better, I believe they’ve forgotten about the family rooms.

Very welcoming. Staff would do absolutely anything for you. Baz gives you lots of advice and humour. Lovely family run place. Would certainly stay again. Beds comfy and very clean Food great and lovely restaurant to eat in. Thai massages excellent. A lovely start to our pre flight honeymoon. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
