The lady at the reception was absolutely fantastic. She was extremely helpful polite and very accommodating. 10/10. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. But she was just great!!! The rooms are more basic than you could imagine. Bedding was well made and clean. Hygiene was not great elsewhere. Lack of toilet paper etc was not a great start but not a complaint. There was a ”stink” in the bathroom, I discovered it was toilet brush . The pool area was acceptable. The breakfast for €12 was ok, not fantastic. The location was a bit far from the Grotto. We had to get a taxi each night as after a day of walking in the town centre the walk uphill was too much for any if us. The overall facilities are in need of repairs and an option to purchase a box of basic items would have been good, such as coffee butter milk etc.

Quite difficult to find when arriving in a car, especially disabled. We did find a disabled place right at the top of the street, but it is very hilly. You can reserve a parking space at the hotel for a charge. When walking down the street to the hotel, do not take the first entrance into the little court yard, but the second into the reception area. Here we were greeted very warmly and the location of the hotel is excellent, near to the grotto, centre and shops. We decided to eat in the hotel the first evening and the food was very good and reasonable. The second evening to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary from advice we are at the restaurant Alexandria, at the top of the street. Quite expensive, but the food was amazing. Breakfast the usual continental affair, though a lack of fresh fruit and a little mundane. It is also well worth taking the little white tourist train, which you board down in the centre, but also stops right outside the hotel and stops at various places including the candle factory. Our accessible room although with a hugh wet room, was really quite bleak with no view or adequate shelving in the bathroom. The bed was comfy, but far too low and following a recent knee operation, was a nightmare to arise from and although on the whole we enjoyed our stay, I was definitely glad to leave it after three nights.

We travelled to Lourdes on pilgrimage with HCPT (Hosanna House and Children’s Pilgrimage Trust). Hotel Croix des Bretons was our “home” for the week. We spent 7 nights here over the Easter weekend - the 1st week of the season, and the staff could not have been more prepared. From the warm & friendly welcome, accommodating all of our unusual requests like they were absolutely run of the mill, to the buffet style food which was refreshing and good. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere that Francois, Sabine & the team don’t manage. The hotel itself is really clean, the rooms are comfortable, especially the beds, with extra blankets in the wardrobes if needed. The bathroom was spacious and super clean, ours had a bath with a wall shower. The staff in the restaurant were kind, caring and diligent. I know that if I were to come to Lourdes, by myself outside of the organised pilgrimage, Hotel Croix des Bretons would be the first place I would look to book. Grazie Francois! Smooth check in and good room on 6th floor. Very comfy bed - not always a given in Lourdes so thank you! (I’ve stayed in many hotels in Lourdes over the years !) Good bathroom and toilet facilities with toiletries available. Breakfast was pleasant as well. However there are new AC rules in France and you would need to contact reception to organise. It was late when we realised we couldn’t get AC on and should have contacted reception. I brought the AC issue up at checkout and this was explained very well by the receptionist. I should have contacted reception. I will know for the next time. Many thanks to all the staff of the hotel! A bientôt!

The hotel is small but in a good location to visit grotto area. We had a good size comfortable room which was very quiet even though facing onto the road and the river. The room has a shower, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river. There was a shaded patio on our floor for use by residents. The hotel serves an excellent buffet breakfast which is regularly replenished and there is plenty of room in the dining room. The staff are all young and enthusiastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. Wifi is good and we had no difficulty in connecting. A very good stay and we will be returning on our next visit. The Hotel only serves breakfast but there is plenty of choice for other meals locally. Made in Italy serves very good Pizzas and is always very busy. The town was busy with pilgrimages even though it was October but it is still kept clean. The streets are narrow so you need to be aware of the traffic especially the large tour buses. There are local buses and a petit train which run around the town.

The hotel is very comfortable and clean. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nickel. Sorry that all this was disturbed by the ”bordel” caused by Spanish-language children who played in the corridors until midnight by laying the doors with grooms and who left the hotel the next day at 5 p.m. without doing any work Also attention to noise. So what to sleep well without being able to do it .....

The service was good, the facilities were good, but I had not two beds as planned, but a large bed.
At the end of the stay, no fruits for breakfast, replace with a conserved fruit salad, the winemakers too cooked.

The hotel reception staff were very welcoming and also multilingual. The rooms were lovely, spacious, modern, clean and we particularly enjoyed the mountain view from the room window. However, the TV was a little small and there was no complementary tea and coffee sachets provided. There is a continental style breakfast offered, but it was slightly disappointing with not much selection and fresh fruit. The location is good and fairly near to the main sanctuary and grotto although there is reasonable distance to town centre, so be prepared to walk a bit and bring sensible footwear. There is also an airport shuttle bus near the hotel at the Paradis bus stop which drops you straight to the airport. We had a good experience on this occasion and will definitely recommend staying especially if you're looking for self-catering residence type accommodation. Thank you Zenitude

OOdyssey09068861002The hotel is nice; staff are friendly. It is a 1-2 minute walk to St Joseph's gate at the Grotto, so it is very convenient. The room itself is ok. It would have been a lot better if the AC was working properly; interestingly the controls are with the front desk (i had to ask them to check the ac everyday because it was warm inside our room, and every time they would check at the back and say they adjusted it). We did not try the breakfast or restaurant, but I saw a lot of people eating there. It would have been 5-stars if only the AC worked!

This trip was just me and my Husband this time for our 40th Wedding Anniversary and we always wanted to stay at this Hotel as we have been in many times before to have a drink in the bar. As it was just the two of us we had our own choice of hotel so you can imagine we were excited to book and stay there. We booked a deluxe room overlooking the garden. The room was not deluxe it was not what we expected even down to no bed side tables or any drawers in the room the wardrobe rail was very short hence creasing our clothes, for this reasion, I asked to borrow an iron for 5 minutes but got told by the receptionist to wait in reception till someone came to show me to the pressing room in another building. I waited 20 minutes no one came so I gave up and never asked again. The first morning there was no hot water so cold showers. I heard the receptionist saying to another guest who was complaining about the same issue that it would be fixed later that day. Which it was. The tea tray was very sparce one breakfast tea bag each and one sugar each with a very small pod of milk not enough for a decent cup of tea. To add the biggest insult there was two wooden sticks to stir the tea not even a proper spoon in a deluxe room? We took the small stool out of the shower to put our tea on whilst we sat on the 2 dirty chairs on the balcony. We have had far better variety of breakfast from every other hotels we have stayed in lourdes. When we arrived we was told we did not have to book evening dinner in the restaurant so on the actually day of our 40th Anniversary we went down to the restaurant but was told no room even though the restaurant at the time was half empty. We had a lovely meal in another Hotel. To top it all when we got home our Children told us that they contacted the hotel reception to ask could they order a surprise bottle of champagen on the day to be sent to our room they was on the telphone to them for an hour but hit a brick wall as they would not take payment from them. I do not normally write reviews but after receiving a welcome written note from the Staff when we entered the room saying Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary we hope you enjoy your stay and if there is anything you need our staff is to hand. this letter was accompanied by 6 macaroons on a plate. Hotel has not even answered reviews on there website shows they do not care and its not a cheap hotel.

Beautiful hotel in Lourdes near the sanctuary, shops and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. Hotel is very clean and has wonderful comfy beds and serves good breakfast in the mornings and wonderful meals in the evening. To get to the hotel you can either take a shuttle bus which goes to the Sanctuary. Once you get dropped at the Sanctuary the hotel is a few minutes walk. The cost for this shuttle bus is about 3 euros. During Easter this shuttle bus is not regular. We had to take a shared taxi from the airport which cost us 12 euros per person, as we had missed the last bus at 7pm. The hotel is also very popular with pilgrims, so for those of you not coming in groups, book early. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone. A special thank you to all their staff for giving us a pleasant stay. We hope to see you again soon.

GGuest UserThis hotel is a little gem. Its strength is it staff. From the moment we arrived we were taken care of. We were with Tangney Tours and Linda was an extremely professional and caring guide. Rooms are quite small but clean with maid service everyday. The restaurant staff were fabulous especially Corine's friendly and attentive approach at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Philippa in the restaurant was also excellent. Small bar at reception. 2 lifts and a staircase to access 9 floors.

GGuest UserLocation, location, location. I like this hotel simply because of its proximity to the St. Joseph gate, you could even see the hotel from the entrance. We actually got a view of the sanctuary entrance from our room (620). Due to its location, there are lots of nearby restaurants and souvenir shops within the vicinity. Do note that we got 10% discount coupons on some affiliated restaurants and shops. The L5 bus stop is just by the sanctuary entrance, if you need to get around the city or to the train station. The Wifi was quick and reliable. Room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning. Oh and I love the staff, they were very pleasant and helpful. We would book this again next time we visit Lourdes.

Iitalof876Unfortunately my wife and I had a terrible experience at this hotel. Everything started to go wrong upon arrival where there was no more space available in the hotel parking lot and we were told to park the car in another hotel away from this one. Then the fourth. They put us in a room with no ventilation at all. And the hotel's air conditioning was off. They told us they were going to change our room but they didn't. We also bought breakfast from the hotel. But the staff are poorly trained. We were asked to show proof of payment repeatedly during our meal, plus there's a totally nonsensical rule for you to use the tables to have your breakfast. Every day we were asked to change tables to another one that wasn't ready. The justification is that the one we had sat on was to be used only for lunch. All in all, a bad experience.

Very helpful when checking in and out with where to park car/ leaving bags etc. The hotel is close to the grotto and is very handy for returning to during the day if needed. Booked directly through Accor website as we are a member. Booking went smoothly. The receptionist were helpful, friendly and professional. A lot of cafes around the hotel. It was a lovely walking distance to Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. Au Roi Albert Restaurant was excellent & food was delicious and reasonable price.

Size of the apartment was also ok ( we booked a family apartment so should of had 2 bedrooms and separate kitchen / sitting area with balcony and a classic apartment which is 1 separate bedroom with kitchen / dining . What we got initially was a studio room ( bed in same room as kitchen with separate bathroom , dining table was touching end of bed and a window ) and a 1 bedroom apartment which had a bunk bed in the kitchen area ( room 406) with a window looking directly into another room. I asked for a change on this room and got room 402, so had 2 single beds in a room with large window and a double couch bed in kitchen area with a balcony that was 2 foot wide but had stunning views so better. What we didn’t expect was the deposit in case of breakages of €100 ( I took room pics of other peoples damage and showed reception immediately) the box of self catering stuff provided , cups , plates ect to be collected from reception and the overall untidy and dirty room conditions. All 3 rooms we were in had the same issues. Coming to Lourdes with vulnerable people I didn’t expect the room to be a possible health hazard due to lack of basic cleaning and having to ask for basics like toilet roll , clean blankets and sheets surprised me. We had an early flight home & reception staff actually came to check our rooms before handing back the deposits that we paid in cash. Pictures don’t lie Home in door was room 406 when we checked in . Rest are of room 402 . The girl who checked us in on Monday , we didn’t see her again , another girl was left to deal with the issues.
