Hotels Near E.Leclerc Lourdes in Lourdes

The hotel is well located in the centre close to shops, restaurants and about 1.1km from the grotto (10-12 mins walk) The staff are very friendly and very welcoming especially Chris, Thiago and Fatima. It would be nice to be welcomed as an Accor member. Chris was super friendly and suggested things to do and see. Breakfast each morning was decent and did the job. It consist of croissants, pastries, cakes, yoghurt, cold cuts, cheese, marmalade etc with fresh cafe and selection of coffee too. The breakfast is more continental so don’t expect a full fledged breakfast (you pay what you get) The rooms are nice and clean. The rooms have international travel plug attached; very handy. Each day my room was serviced, it was spotless( thanks to an amazing housekeeping team). It would be good to see a coffee/ tea/ kettle in the room for easy access. Bed was super comfortable and had a good sleep the rest of the 2 nights I stayed, the first night of sleep was miserable (doors slamming, the walls are thin hence you can hear the communication and telly in the other rooms, kids screaming up till 1am). The phone in the room didn’t work, I could not even ask for a room move that time of the night.As I was out most of the time it didn’t bother me much but someone who has sleep issues, could be a bit noisier at times. Ask for a room at the back(tough you might be woken up at 530am with noise from the kitchen fans). There is no food available onsite so if you need to grab a bite, takeaway is your best bet(there’s a chipper across the street and a kebab place). The meals served are ready to eat and needs a microwave to heat it up (not something I would like to see in an Accor brand tough ibis is a mid scale hotel). I was informed by the staff at the desk about this new policy. Overall a good experience and would recommend the ibis Lourdes hotel for a short visit.

Quite difficult to find when arriving in a car, especially disabled. We did find a disabled place right at the top of the street, but it is very hilly. You can reserve a parking space at the hotel for a charge. When walking down the street to the hotel, do not take the first entrance into the little court yard, but the second into the reception area. Here we were greeted very warmly and the location of the hotel is excellent, near to the grotto, centre and shops. We decided to eat in the hotel the first evening and the food was very good and reasonable. The second evening to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary from advice we are at the restaurant Alexandria, at the top of the street. Quite expensive, but the food was amazing. Breakfast the usual continental affair, though a lack of fresh fruit and a little mundane. It is also well worth taking the little white tourist train, which you board down in the centre, but also stops right outside the hotel and stops at various places including the candle factory. Our accessible room although with a hugh wet room, was really quite bleak with no view or adequate shelving in the bathroom. The bed was comfy, but far too low and following a recent knee operation, was a nightmare to arise from and although on the whole we enjoyed our stay, I was definitely glad to leave it after three nights.

We travelled to Lourdes on pilgrimage with HCPT (Hosanna House and Children’s Pilgrimage Trust). Hotel Croix des Bretons was our “home” for the week. We spent 7 nights here over the Easter weekend - the 1st week of the season, and the staff could not have been more prepared. From the warm & friendly welcome, accommodating all of our unusual requests like they were absolutely run of the mill, to the buffet style food which was refreshing and good. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere that Francois, Sabine & the team don’t manage. The hotel itself is really clean, the rooms are comfortable, especially the beds, with extra blankets in the wardrobes if needed. The bathroom was spacious and super clean, ours had a bath with a wall shower. The staff in the restaurant were kind, caring and diligent. I know that if I were to come to Lourdes, by myself outside of the organised pilgrimage, Hotel Croix des Bretons would be the first place I would look to book. Grazie Francois! Smooth check in and good room on 6th floor. Very comfy bed - not always a given in Lourdes so thank you! (I’ve stayed in many hotels in Lourdes over the years !) Good bathroom and toilet facilities with toiletries available. Breakfast was pleasant as well. However there are new AC rules in France and you would need to contact reception to organise. It was late when we realised we couldn’t get AC on and should have contacted reception. I brought the AC issue up at checkout and this was explained very well by the receptionist. I should have contacted reception. I will know for the next time. Many thanks to all the staff of the hotel! A bientôt!

Beautiful hotel in Lourdes near the sanctuary, shops and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. Hotel is very clean and has wonderful comfy beds and serves good breakfast in the mornings and wonderful meals in the evening. To get to the hotel you can either take a shuttle bus which goes to the Sanctuary. Once you get dropped at the Sanctuary the hotel is a few minutes walk. The cost for this shuttle bus is about 3 euros. During Easter this shuttle bus is not regular. We had to take a shared taxi from the airport which cost us 12 euros per person, as we had missed the last bus at 7pm. The hotel is also very popular with pilgrims, so for those of you not coming in groups, book early. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The service was good, the facilities were good, but I had not two beds as planned, but a large bed. At the end of the stay, no fruits for breakfast, replace with a conserved fruit salad, the winemakers too cooked.

The hotel reception staff were very welcoming and also multilingual. The rooms were lovely, spacious, modern, clean and we particularly enjoyed the mountain view from the room window. However, the TV was a little small and there was no complementary tea and coffee sachets provided. There is a continental style breakfast offered, but it was slightly disappointing with not much selection and fresh fruit. The location is good and fairly near to the main sanctuary and grotto although there is reasonable distance to town centre, so be prepared to walk a bit and bring sensible footwear. There is also an airport shuttle bus near the hotel at the Paradis bus stop which drops you straight to the airport. We had a good experience on this occasion and will definitely recommend staying especially if you're looking for self-catering residence type accommodation. Thank you Zenitude
